I had no idea she suffers from claustrophobia.

Why would a world-class Olympian with gold medals to her name put herself through the ritual humiliations of a reality show? Well, Rebecca Adlington just wants to be "part of a team again". Hmm, going from the gods and goddesses of Team GB to the I'm A Celebrity rabble is sure to be a rude awakening for our Becky. And if that doesn't reduce her to tears, any challenge involving small spaces will. She's claustrophobic, apparently.

Chances of winning: Pretty good – the gal's a national treasure and all that.

She might then be exempt from a few of the trials.

I thought the same.
I know this will sound daft but my first thought was , she's a swimmer, so how is she claustrophobic .

A swimming pool isn't an enclosed space.

That's a phobia just like being scared of spiders or snakes.
It's kind of stupid to let her off like that.
Remember how Peter Andre was when he had to sit in a glass case of spiders?. He nearly passed out with fear but that's one of the key parts of the show-getting over your fears.

I thought they were there to face their fears, not avoid them on medical grounds, she might have had a chance of winning, zero if that is the case and rightly so.
