Cheryl Cole has brushed off speculation that she will return to the X Factor judging panel.

The Girls Aloud singer - who left the show after its seventh series in 2010 - has been repeatedly linked to a new job on the competition over the last few years.

However, Cole appeared to dismiss the suggestions on her Twitter page, writing: "Same rumours different day/year."
