Wow that's awful! poor kid, we always moan about the weather in Britain but I won't again after seeing how some have it atm.

Yes real sad as they were just trying to pump out water
the location of it would have been the danger.

I don't think it's carbon monoxide, I say it's Legionnaires disease.

Legionellosis is the collective name given to the pneumonia-like illness caused by legionella bacteria.
