[Zane Gbangbola dies in worst storms since 1766
His father, Kye Gbangbola, was discovered
during a night-time rescue
Two people, thought to be the boy's parents,
are in a serious condition
15 people treated in hospital,
including some police officers
Officers were called to the home
in Chertsey at 3.30am by paramedics
Nearby properties were evacuated
as a precaution
Police are urging anyone in the a
rea suffering vomiting and diarrhoea
to seek medical treatment

Wow that's awful! poor kid, we always moan about the weather in Britain but I won't again after seeing how some have it atm.

Yes real sad as they were just trying to pump out water
the location of it would have been the danger.

I don't think it's carbon monoxide, I say it's Legionnaires disease.

Legionellosis is the collective name given to the pneumonia-like illness caused by legionella bacteria. This includes the most serious legionnaires’ disease, as well as the similar but less serious conditions of Pontiac fever and Lochgoilhead fever. Legionnaires’ disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia and everyone is susceptible to infection. However, some people are at higher risk, including:

people over 45 years of age
smokers and heavy drinkers
people suffering from chronic respiratory or kidney disease
anyone with an impaired immune system
