I had 2 convos with Amazon yesterday/today and they are lovely unlike the automatons at ebay.
I had the most lovely irish girl today who I imagine looked like this

who was so unlike a customer service person it was untrue in that she was normal and soooo helpful. This is not the first time Amazon have been great either.
Ebay are the opposite:nono:
Has anyone had similar good Amazon service?

I had a faulty disk in a Grey's Anatomy boxset once from Amazon and I e-mailed them asking for a replacement. And they said they'd give me the money equivelant of the broken disc and then when I said that was a bit useless they let me keep the broken boxset, send me a new one and let me keep the money they'd already given me.

I had a whole box of Christmas gifts from Amazon that didn't arrive, seven or eight presents - books, DVDs that kind of thing. It said they'd been delivered but they hadn't. I got in touch and they sent the whole order again, no problems, no accusations that I'd nicked them... I know there are problems with the tax they pay - or don't pay - but I love Amazon.
Yeah Amazon is fantastic, even if it sounds like a hellish company to work for

The number of books I've ordered off Amazon over the years probably amounts to a small fortune

Amazon are great if you buy from them direct but if you buy from marketplace sellers you will get a similar experience to eBay in my experience...
