Instead, it's more the thought of a luxury lifestyle that they can get by bagging one of these overpaid (and over-horny) sportsmen.
No longer do girls dream of getting degrees, but the golden ticket of having a lifetime supply of Louboutins and Mulberrys, a house in the suburbs, and that all important title of being a WAG.
These are the females that hang around tables in London West End clubs, the smell of Grey Goose vodka and a Rolex enough to make them salivate.
These little table *****s don't watch the game but will know every player's name, age and even their address – as these scorer vultures do their research so as to never allow a pro-footballer to pass through their net.
But why has this 'career choice' become so desirable? And when did genuinely falling in love with someone become so rare.
It seems the WAG status and lifestyle is far more important than monogamy and happiness; unless happiness can be brought in the form of a 4X4 Range Rover.
Today, I'm looking at the women who have found their calling off the back of a loved one's fame – and stuck by them even if they've slept with more prostitutes than Amsterdam has to offer.
Money obviously overshadows any dignity that they ever may have had.
Let's start with the young lady that's had more footballers than I've had tattoos.
As José Mourinho slammed Arsene Wenger as a "specialist in failure", this footballer's wife suffered a near-failure too, trying her luck with a lot of the Spurs team before actually marrying her Wolves player Jamie O'Hara.
I bet she's sad she's missing out on a trip to Brazil as her Championship hubby hasn't even been considered in the final selection of the squad.
She's no stranger to the footie limelight having shaped most of her career from her off-pitch action.
And it's not just the footmen that misbehave, with allegations of Danielle O'Hara diving into the arms of TOWIE heartthrob Dan Osborne while filming Splash!
Or maybe they were just getting close to talk about night feeds.
One of the most well-known and liked WAGs is the very gorgeous Abbey Clancy, but would this beauty really be with 6ft 7in Crouchy without his £100,000 weekly wage.
Peter allegedly cheated on his then-fiancée with a hooker called Monica Mint, but all was forgiven.
Minus the pound signs though, maybe this betrayal would've been harder to forget.
Do we really want our impressionable teens to think that money buys you love? To think that working is a thing of the past?
