So I've dropped a metal fry bastket on my toe at work and it ****ing hurt and now it's bruised I think

..do you feel as though it possibly could be broken..?..I know it's a busy weekend day Jake, but maybe you should think about going home because being on your feet and pressure on it all day is not going to help at all and could only mean that you may have to end up being off work anyway..?..even if you have broken it, there is nothing that can be done as such but you do need to have it elevated for more than a half hour or so and just rest it and the same if it's a bruised bone...

I've asked my manager to get cover if he can so I can go, as you said it might be busy today and I need to rest it really and also I'm not gonna ingure my toe any more for the sake of this job :laugh: I never go home from shifts so my manager knows this isn't like me anyway

..I think that's the right thing Jake and whether your manager can get cover or not because I know that people will have Saturday plans etc..you still need to go home anyway...nothing at work will be 'damaged' by you not being there..(that's not to say you're not a great employee because you totally are..)..but they'll get to the end of their shift and survive it without you but you could do damage to your toe by being there and that will mean forced time off and also great pain and discomfort for you../a longer recovery...

I hate when that happens, I was trying to go to the website where I download Orphan Black on my phone yesterday and my phone wouldn't allow me for some reason, it was very annoying, other sites just aren't the same when you have already gotten used to one. :sad: I don't even one one CD, I disconnected the DVD drive of my PC so I could use the power supply on my old HDD after I replaced it, so now I have two. ..I also always avoid downloading a flash player which a lot of the sites ask you to do because the last time I did that I got a malware virus or something and I couldn't use my laptop anymore..it was a really old one anyway that was kind of handed down to me so it was good to get a new one but I'm really careful and OCD about this one...I think also my anti-virus doesn't let me go on lots of sites because I get a warning come up and can't go any further..it's annoying when that happens with pics..(not dodgy pics or anything..)..just for the pic threads but there is obviously something about the site they're on that it doesn't like...:sad:..

..yeah, I have to say that I didn't quite get into it the way I did with Asylum ..I was fascinated with Delphine LaLaurie but she kind of lost all her evil when she changed centuries and it didn't quite work for me...Jessica is always amazing as her characters though...

..I think you'd enjoy it Dezzy, it's very dark as well and not just because of the storyline but the characters/detectives themselves are very complicated and kind of themselves on the 'edge' of being good or bad..and Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are spectacular as the detectives...

Well I applied for a job in logistics just there tonight; there are a lot of opportunities to get a good paying job here in Aberdeen but of course the cost of living is much higher too... but if I can get into one of these big corporations I can hopefully start earning a really good salary and move sideways and/or upwards to another city... I wouldn't really like to settle down here right now but maybe I would return to Aberdeen when I'm much older. The actual city itself is no place for a young person but even now I'm appreciating the fact that a 10 minute drive and you're out of the city and there are so many lovely places to see, potentially live in... if I had the money, of course.

Bought more razors and new hair product stuff
Arranged my contact lens + sight test for next Saturday
Had a huge clear out of clothes that are too big for me :D and filled three bags of stuff which I donated to a clothes bank
Bought 5x new t-shirts, 2x new belts, 1x new pair of jeans and 6x pairs of pants
Applied for a graduate job

I mean on the plus side - I'm not in a relationship and don't have any financial obligations so I think that's very good career wise because it means I can go literally anywhere and there'd be nothing holding me back from going for it. I've already moved twice (to Glasgow; and then over to Essen in Germany) so living away from home isn't anything new and so on... it's an exciting time but also a worrying time, not really knowing what the future holds etc... I'm very jealous of LJ in Landan, I bet he does loads of cool things in his spare time! I definitely enjoy living in a big city, I'd like to go somewhere either the same size as Glasgow or perhaps bigger.

...one of my nieces did German and she stayed there and works there now and another one lives in Paris because she did French law over there and was offered a job through that and that's often what happens..one thing leads to another type thing and it probably will for you as well..it's been a good move to work for your dad short term and just make some money so that you can treat yourself atm but it's not really something that's going to give you any long term satisfaction and a city is such a great place for someone your age because as you get older you often quite like to live somewhere more quiet...and especially if you have children or when you do...you really do have to make the most of this time Z and try to do all the things that you've wanted and focus on how you can get to do them because this really is your time Greg...
