I was just looking back over the last two years on TiBB and it's so funny seeing how the dynamics all change every few months between members, myself included. Any noticeable ones for anyone here?

I did once because it used to be in every forum but I think some of the gifs are funny and used in a correct dosage they are fine plus they are generally contained to C & G/music now. I try and keep my usage of them to Chat and Games (usually threads I have created or one where it makes no difference if they are posted in there) and a few threads (that I have usually made) in Music. I'd never take them to serious debates for example, it's not the place for them there. :tongue:


Plus since stepping down as mod I don;t take this forum as seriously anymore because I don;t have to, I gave up that role for a reason so I could have a laugh on here more and enjoy it.

..I'm not sure 'dynamics' have changed, have they..?..I don't think so in most things..so far as the gifs/smiley/'silly' type threads go..?..they've always been here so far as I can remember but I think on the whole they're often 'in joke' type things/something that maybe only certain people understand and if you're not 'in' on that joke/moment then you never get them and may find them annoying and if you are 'in' then you do and join in...I've always seen members say 'uggh, that's annoying' and other members say 'it's just harmless fun'....I always think it's just perceptions in general that change/and obviously new members coming all the time as well...

..is that the same as a 'dynamic change' though..people post more or post less all the time for different reasons...with the example of the chat threads, it was always said that Scott was a huge contributory to one of them being busier so now he's back, it's not so much of a change but just more going back to how it always was so far as I remember...and people do 'move on' also..with jobs etc so there will be 'gaps' because of that but then other new members come...I still think the dynamics as such of the forum don't change as such...maybe you're just seeing it from a different perspective of being a regular member now but that it's more or less always been how it is now..?..

Things have changed since I signed up. At the beginning of my time there was an active divide between the gays and the heteros (Zeta vs. Brotherhood). MSN was a massive thing, too, everybody had everybody and the use of ha2 and s0b were constant. But as time went on people left the forum and new members arrived. Divides still exist to this day and I think it's something that is always going to exist, in some form.

I wouldn't say the mods as a whole ( I'm including Josy admin as well) are in decline in terms of posting, Eoin and Marc have yes, cos they've got it all going on irl and they are missed, that's not to say the others haven't got 'stuff'.

Vicky's got Skye, but I still notice her around quite a bit, Josy's in and out when she can, MTVN and Nathan are online plenty, same for Dezzy. And Niamh's not around any less that I've noticed.

Maybe a couple of new mods could be added into the mix, that's up to the powers that be though, if it's not broke don't fix it I say.

I know there are a few that think I was very bolshy and abrupt on here last night, I was indeed, fair comment, but I was at the end of my patience. I think the forum as a whole (talking dynamics) is quite relaxed at the moment, feuds have ended, ML has created it's usual feel good vibe as well, I only caught up on it after the event as I was out and about but it was great - haven't read it through fully from start to finish yet.

Anyway where was I, yes well as the saying goes, you can't please all the people all the time, that's where I've gone wrong in the past, been a massive people pleaser, but it doesn't work, cos it's not sincere when you're suppressing what you really feel just to get on with everyone. Thing is though I DO want to get on with everyone, whether they like each other or not, and that's what I was trying to say last night...... (Steals Ammi's ellipses) but it's IMPOSSIBLE! :( :(

I'm not perfect (this time last year I went through a bad time and was a complete arse but that was then and this is now) and I've had a bitch (prefer to call it venting) about people on here of course I have but that's the best way to let things go and move on, next time they talk to me I'll most likely be fine with them. Least said soonest mended.

There's barely anyone I dislike on here, even people I've had conflict with, there's only 2, we won't go there, I try not to take any notice of them anymore. I think it's just personality clash cos others seem to like them well enough so they must have good points. In fact they do, I actually like some of their posts, can't say they've never made me laugh, so who knows, we might be bezzie mates one day :laugh:

I hope none of this gets removed because I'm trying to express myself honestly and fairly.

Hopefully none of it will get deleted, I've no problem with any of you voicing your opinions openly so long as it's not offensive and if I have anything to say in response I'll say it.
