I think he could be brutally scathing if pushed enough. But I respect him for sticking up for himself against Helen and Toya in a reasonably self controlled way.

Guess it's how different people handle things, I would walk away from a heated argument if the other party was in my face to stop myself loosing control and lashing out. I don't think he went to hide, I think he just did what he thought was necessary to stop the argument, and knew when to walk away, that has merit in my eyes.
