..families don't always get on and they're not always the best thing for you either, they can stifle you and keep you in a place of insecurities, it's just the way sometimes and you have to break free of that because it's best for you to grow and know who you are and you're the one who is most important...sometimes parent/children relationships and understandings can get better with that space and sometime they'll always feel stretched and that's hard but you can't change it if it happens so you just have to think about yourself and your happiness....

..families don't always get on and they're not always the best thing for you either, they can stifle you and keep you in a place of insecurities, it's just the way sometimes and you have to break free of that because it's best for you to grow and know who you are and you're the one who is most important...sometimes parent/children relationships and understandings can get better with that space and sometime they'll always feel stretched and that's hard but you can't change it if it happens so you just have to think about yourself and your happiness....

Yeah that's very very true. I feel sometimes that trying to hard with people just makes it fall apart anyway. By doing what I'm doing I'm making a point to her really. ..it's too exhausting to feel that you have to try so hard all of the time anyway/it's like any relationship, that just won't work except to put a 'patch' over it for a little bit and it's complicated with parents because they can keep you in a place you don't want to be and shouldn't be, otherwise you won't ever be happy and you could miss so many opportunities through that..I'm sure that when the time is right, maybe you'll see if it can be different with her and whether you can have a relationship but it has to come from both of you otherwise no matter how much time has gone by, it'll only take you back again and you'll feel that you've got nowhere in time...I do hope it has a good outcome but more than anything else, just spend this time being you and enjoying yourself because you'll never get it back and this is your time, Niall...you with your dad/is that ok..?...

Exactly! That's exaclty how I feel about everything. She really drags me down a lot time and again and I've had enough of it. I'm always the one conceding so that things'll be glossed over. :/ But hopefully it will be a positive outcome no matter when that may be. Sigh.

Me and my Dad are great though yeah! My Dad's awesome. He's really chilled out and I have a lot in common with him. He gets me. I came out to him recently too and it went so well omg he was the sweetest.
