I shudder if people have actually fallen for it:o.
Winston's mask is slowly slipping too in terms of his dumb act, fair play to him for playing the game and wanting to win though.

Unfortunately folks will always fall for the good edits concerning certain housemates.

I'm really peed off about this Helen redemption thing. I can't believe people are falling for it. I'm fine with people liking Helen, but buying the blatant manipulation from BB? Nope. My mum thinks Helen is amazing now and although she loved Chris at the start has decided he's creepy.. she just falls for whatever they throw at her. You need to read between the lines people :(
For me, it's like this; the Helen that entered the house is the real Helen. She went in as an aggressive animal to take 'top dog' of the house. Teared the weak ones down, drew the stronger ones to her... and it wasn't until BB warned her that she began to calm down, and as people she didn't like or couldn't control got evicted, she didn't need to do it anymore because she is now the ruler. It's a bit of a shame that Chris, Christopher and possibly Ashleigh have gotten close to her, but I think it was inevitable due to the small number of housemates. I think she does have a good side (everyone does) and that's coming out now that she doesn't need to attack, but she's still that horrible person that entered and she keeps rearing her head every now and then.
This is the first time I've watched BB and been actively involved in a BB community, reading news/Facebook/Twitter etc, and I can't believe how quickly the majority will swap their opinions for the latest edit.

That is true since they have lived with her, but we're entitled to our opinions too because ALL the housemates are vying for the public to love them.

I, too am quite amazed that some viewers have fallen for Helens supposed redemption. She shouldn't have needed one in the first place, but she attacked, bullied and swore her way through the earlier weeks without empathy for anyone.
Her get out of jail card of holding her hands up and admitting her faults also lets her off the hook as she them doesn't get told that she is such a nasty bitch. She should be glad people don't say it to her face as she seems to think is the best way or she would have ejected in double quick time.
Now, she has the house, more or less how she wants it, she has calmed down, but those who think she is being hard done by, by having the public tell her what she doesn't want to hear, well it has been a long time coming.
She is still nasty underneath her calmer persona, I hope things go very wrong for her only to show those who say she has changed that the new Helen is only skin deep, the previous Helen was her real personality and she can turn in a second. You don't lose that ingrained nastiness in a few weeks.

They can still edit sections out of times of the day though.
We see "she has changed now". The real conversation goes "she has changed now... although I still think she's horrible" etc.. the beauty of editing.
It's like the diary room conversations. When the camera cuts to the door outside, that's just a clip to break out the conversation in the diary room so they can only show us certain things people have said and not the full thing.
Easy way to manipulate an audience, moreso without live feed.

I think she has changed at least in some ways.
I'm pretty sure she'd have never said to a fellow HM that she is nice to people even if she "doesn't like them because it's easier" in the first few weeks. Time and experience can indeed change how people behave. Whether changes to behaviour mean that anything substantial has changed in her character is debatable of course.
Whether that means that she'd never treat people how she did when she first went in the house, I don't know. I don't know if she ever treated people that way outside of the house anyway - or if it was an odd blip in her normal character due to it being BB.
I have opinions on it, but I don't actually know or care too much. I'm just glad not to be seeing her old behaviour.

I'm truly AMAZED that people are so closeminded to think people should suffer such grief and malice for something that went on in her past,Helen sold her body,Ashleigh flaunts herself like a piece of meat,Helen has been nasty,so has Ashleigh, both are potty mouthed, both are bitchy, both speak to each other now,so why the venom against helen

Absolutely agree. The haters on both sides are making up complete distortions of reality now. I couldn't give a flying fig what Helen did a few years ago, and I'm certainly not going to sit in judgement of her, they should perhaps be looking more inward to their own behaviour. It sure isn't pretty.

I think Helen has just calmed down, there's no need for her to get so aggressive as they all know where they are in the pecking order.
I am warming to her, but she certainly wouldn't be someone i'd be friends with!
It's what the shows about...putting different people from different backgrounds together, i'm sure in a million years that Helen and Ashleigh would never be friends which is why there was conflict, there is no redemption, Helen is Helen!
Tbh I think it's only her previous behaviour that keeps people interested in her now.
If she had been as she is now all along - well, she's not the most entertaining or interesting of HMs except for the comparison with how she behaved previously in my view.

It's obvious Helen has calmed down the last few weeks hence her getting along better with people like Ashleigh.
So where is this edit trying to manipulate and give her redemption? If she spent 6 weeks going full energy and now she can't be arsed then there isn't much else they can show other than calm Helen.

Helen has calmed down because she's been warned before and she obviously wants to win the public over, she's just as desperate as the others to win the show. If anything it's just upping the tactics up!
