View Full Version : The Helen rule.
Is that it's okay for her to be two faced and a hypocrite but nobody else can.
She is fuming that Chris or Ashleigh pretended to get along with her because they 'had to', (which they haven't, they said they like her better now) yet says that she's only getting on with Asheligh because she's in the house...how's that for a hypocritical statement?
"I don’t particularly like Ashleigh but I’ve got on with her because I’ve had to. In the real word I’d turn around and say to her, ‘I can’t ******ing stand you, do not speak to me do not look at me, do not cross my path, I can’t ******ing stand you."
So did she tell Ashleigh she couldn't ******* stand her, did she tell tell not to speak or look at her? Not a chance! The 'tell it like it is to your face' Helen is just as two faced as they come.:smug:

It's a strange phenomena, because when Helen does something negative that doesn't fit in with certain ingrained views about her (at least she's not a hypocrite) (at least she's not two faced) then ears suddenly close up and eyes suddenly lose the power of sight. There must be a name for this affliction. Anyone know what it's called? :hehe:

Confirmation bias.
A part of that is something called belief perseverance, where the person sticks with a belief even when it's shown to be false.

No it's not alright for Helen to be 2 faced.
As to being a hypocrite, well,we can all be hypocritical at times I think anyway.
However, helen is not 2 faced, you get told where you stand with Helen, few,if indeed any, are left in any doubt what she is like or what she thinks of them.

The OP proves that your latter point isn't really the case though Joey, she hasn't let on to Ashleigh that she's only getting on with her because she needs to..
But yeah I brought up this hypocritical point earlier, well said.

I never did,I felt both were just tolerating each other with fewer in the house and operating a truce of sorts.
I never believed they would be able to agree or get along all the time.
To be fair to both, they have made however a really big effort as to working together and getting along in tasks but for me that was always as far as it was going to go.
Way too much water under the bridge between these 2 to be really getting along and really genuinely being friends.
Not a chance.

Helen said she doesn't like Ashleigh and has only been pretending to like her. Helen was voted most 2 faced housemate and rightly so. She is the very definition of 2 faced. I gave her the benefit of the doubt but you could still see the bitterness from Helen aimed at Ashleigh if you watch the show closely. Remember when Ashleigh got her letter from home? Watch Helen's face. She DOES the right thing and tries to SAY the right thing, but it's completely false and deep down she can't stand her. She admitted it last night, from her own mouth. The only reason Helen "made friends" with Ashleigh is try and improve her own popularity. The week 1-2 Helen is the REAL Helen and it resurfaced last night. She tried to take advantage of overhearing a conversation between a pissed Chris and Ashleigh. She deliberately ignored the positive and the context, and spun it to try and twist the other housemates and viewers to side with Helen

Helen however has never said she liked Ashleigh, all through she has always said she disliked her and more.
I am surprised anyone ever even possibly thought these 2 could ever like each other or be friends at all.
I never saw them being friends just tentatively tolerating each other.
As to the letter from home, I don't care for Ashleigh but I still thought that was nice and would have said so but it wouldn't have changed my view as to her overall at all.
It cannot make her false since she never liked Ashleigh or ever said she liked Ashleigh in the first place.
I could see the bad times returning between these 2,they likely really detest each other in reality.

They are all playing the game, all call each other behind each other's back, boredom and limited space don't help.
The two females left in this year are so much alike in personality it is no wonder they clash.
Both quite bright re the game and both quite bitchy, only difference for me is that Ashleigh hasn't shown the bullying tendencies that Helen has.

Helen said last night:
"I don’t particularly like Ashleigh but I’ve got on with her because I’ve had to. In the real word I’d turn around and say to her, ‘I can’t ******ing stand you, do not speak to me do not look at me, do not cross my path, I can’t ******ing stand you."
She therefore she has been two faced as she has been pretending to get along with Ashleigh.

I think Helen is being honest - I don't think she has enough self awareness, maturity or depth of thought to realise when she is being self -contradictory.
You'd have to sit her down and show it all to her in slow motion to enable her to grasp it, so perhaps it is unfair to call her out on it.

Good old "honest" bitching to someone who you have bitched about behind their back and are being 2 faced with about how someone else has been bitching behind your back and is 2 faced before admitting you yourself have been 2 faced with the person who are accusing of being 2 faced.
In Helen's mind that's called being "honest".
I think what happened is that Helen had one too many rough customers back in the day and her head took too many hits against the wall during those romantic and erotic nights of love and passion
What's laughable is that it's ok for certain people to constantly slag Ashleigh off (including having digs at her appearance) but wont have the same said about their beloved Helen.
Exactly. I don't even post much about Helen, whereas certain people take up residence in Ashleigh threads and slag her off constantly. I'd say for every negative thread about Helen there is half a dozen about Ashleigh, probably more.
But that's because Ashleigh is more interesting. :smug:

However since I don't care for Ashleigh,I would never even want to instigate a debate, good or bad,(speaking for myself obviously),by making any threads about her in the first place.

Interesting can mean many things however, especially from only a likely handful of people voting. Had she been voted most entertaining that could also mean many things.
I can be interested in people who are really nice or really awful, it doesn't mean I like or dislike them.
Just as I can find people/things entertaining which are not so nice as well as people/things that really please me too.
