These are her close friends saying it , she is aggressive .
Why would you want to sit and be part of a group with a pit bull as the leader?

helen shouldnt be a nasty bully! why would big brother allow all her actions and just let her off even with formal warnings! no wonder this years big brother has had rubbish ratings. it sucks that if helen wins it shows bullying is acceptable

I was pretty impressed with how Pav handled her in the toilet... He was very open about her behaviour and didn't appear up her arse at all I thought
They are friends, you just said it yourself.
Lots of people in the world has friends that have flaws it doesn't mean they take nothing more to do with them, if anything them telling her she is aggressive is the best most honest thing they as real friends can do for her.

I cannot believe how deluded she is really , thinking she didn't create a divide when she caused it through fear and aggression .

I've said this all along, Pav is a sensible, sound guy, and so is Ash. They both have got to know Helen over the weeks, and, like many of the viewers have seen the positive and negative sides of Helen and have come to their own opinions.

Let me think of a time when aggressive behaviour is positive?????? Nope nothing comes to mind.

I agree, they're both pretty alright and would probably make nice, fun friends. However, I do feel that they have a higher opinion of Helen than some other hms because she chooses who to show that nicer side to. She decided she liked Ash early on because they were similar: young, attractive, from same area, and probs similar humour, and so hasn't shown much aggression to him. Pav became closer to Winston and Ash with their sort of laddish connection, and in turn, Helen grew to like him as part of their group.
Basically, I think they do see a balanced view of her and believe she is a good friend, but they are lucky enough to see the nicer side of her maybe?

Being a nasty bully is not a flaw. That's like saying someone who is a racist has a flaw. Helen is a racist too unsurprisingly.

They obviously don't see Helen as a bully

thats a stupid statement to make and defamatory
Judy James is a fu.king idiot, its amazing how you all said the same when she slagged off Toya lol
anyone can see that Ashleigh causes the divide every time she decides to stay on her bed all day, if she thinks getting pissed tonight cause she realised she was coming across as boring, is gonna help her, she's a bit too late
Judge Judy has absolutely nothing to worry about

I find it astonishing that anyone would pay money to vote for someone who is always moaning about wanting to go home....................#wasted

Cringe Alert: I find a lot of Helen's qualities very endearing. I have watched her react to many events that have confronted her. I can see her good qualities. I'm not condoning her other behaviour that I found appalling, but human beings are complex creatures.

Could I ask what it is about her you find endearing? I'm not disagreeing with you, just genuinely interested. I don't come on here much but it appears suddenly that there are loads of Helen fans whose reasons for liking her get drowned out by Helen vs. Ashleigh arguments
So far all I've really seen is "she tells it how it is" which I don't believe she always does really

I think she has a great sense of humour, her eyes light up, and I've seen it when the joke has been on her. If you looked at when Mark was evicted, there was genuine sadness in her eyes, nothing fake. She wears her heart on her sleeve more often than not, so its really not difficult to see what she is feeling/thinking, and I like what I see.

Yeah she can make me laugh at times, in the first few days I really quite liked her because she seemed open and happy, I was actually glad when Pauline gave her the pass!
But with regards to her being sad that Mark left, I wouldn't really expect less of any housemate, I would only assume that you would be sad after being so close to someone for 9 weeks really

Because they are friends? No one's perfect and if you dump your friends because they have issues/flaws then you're not much of a friend.
Recognising her issues doesn't mean they hate her either, it means they're not blinkered.

Does being aggressive have a positive side?
No, but aggressive is one side of her, not everything. She is a three dimensional person with good and bad sides to her, like everyone.

your posts are sooo boring, every time I read one, I have to make a load of phone calls to Helens number just to make myself smile lol
Love it you love Helen so much Miranda , Luke has a very valid point he likes Ashleigh let's respect him for that please.

Her best friend likened her to a pit bull terrier , he has allegedly seen those three dimensions and the one that stands out to him is her aggression.

Because her aggression and negative aspects were the ones relevant to the discussion/task. That's what they were talking about.
If she had no positives they wouldn't be her friends, not to mention trying to make out Helen is 100% aggressive is false.

I don't know if 3 dimensions works when you are talking about someone's character , maybe multi dimensional ?there are no doubt many aspects to her the one that stands out to all of us though is her aggression and that is a choice she has made to portray herself that way .

Yes, but you're talking as though aggression is the only thing about her. It clearly isn't.
You can get pedantic over the wording, but the fact remains the same.
They obviously know her better than we do having lived with her for 10 weeks.

She is a mother so ultimately and obviously must have a heart and be able to nurture and love her son , the characteristic she chooses to show the world and the one that shines through is aggression , wow how well thought out of her. What a profound way of conducting yourself , what a superb centred place to operate from. What a shining star she truly is not.

We're going off on a tangent from the original point now so I'll end our conversation here.
All I'll say is Big Brother has chosen to show us mostly her aggressive side. Youtube videos and other moments have shown her calmer/fun sides. Just as there were sides to the "boring" housemates we never got a look at.
The housemates can show the full spectrum of themselves in the house, BB decides what we see, not the housemates. Not to mention BB is such an unnatural environment that it brings things out in people they wouldn't have in the real world. Everything is exaggerated.

As adults in social groups we learn to adapt and get on , that's how we survive ,so obviously she has friends human beings are social animals.

That's your opinion, its not shared by me or many others that are warming to Helen. Everyone can keep spouting all the same old stuff over and over which is rather tired now if they wish, but I've stopped reading most of it, I know where my votes are going

Not sure what relevance this is to the discussion. We're not discussing the psyche behind human interaction. We're talking about 3 people in BB in particular. It's not particularly highly intellectual, they simply have a friend but aren't blind to the major issue she has plaguing her.

You are saying she has friends therefore at some level she must be likeable , proving she has a positive lovely side to her , I am saying she can get by in a group by creating friendships etc etc however I am sticking to my point annoyingly enough , the aspect of her that shines through is aggression that's a conscious choice and in my opinion not in any way shape or form a choice that does her any favours , it's outdated , was no doubt useful at school but as an adult sentient being she can and should make better choices.

How does that shine through?
As I said, certain parts of the housemates will be exaggerated in the house more than they would ever be in real life.
We're seeing more of her aggression because BB finds that more highlights worthy and because they're trapped in an artificial environment.
We can't really say that she chooses aggression all the time due to a severe lack of live feed. We've seen a very small percentage of their overall experience.
What is apparent is she has a problem controlling her temper and articulating something when she's pissed off.

They're her friends for different reasons tbh. Pav, I think, just wanted to be with the "kool kidz" (though I hate the term) because he was isolated and they were at the time the safer option.
Ash genuinely likes Helen, the reason being that he CAN overlook her aggression, because when it comes down to it she wouldn't be able to take him on and she knows it. Helen isn't a clever girl... All of the housemates she's clashed with have been smarter than her... But the flaw is that none of them have been able to keep their cool. Ash is smarter than her and most importantly constantly calm. In a fairly early week they DID almost clash, but he shrugged it off so easily that she was caught off guard. They haven't clashed since. That's what's allowed their friendship to blossom... He accepts her aggression because he's not intimidated by it, and she never turns on him because she knows he won't rise to it.
That sort of sounds like I'm saying they don't like each other or that that's all there is to the friendship... But what I mean is, that side of her with ash was nipped in the bud early on and so he got to see her more positive traits, whilst still being able to appreciate that she is aggressive to other housemates.
