I know! I saw that :fist:

where was this shown

I would think that quite funny actually, as all my relatives are married to relations, its an Irish thing, same as India and many tribal nations, its what we do

I shamed my family by marrying my hunky englishman, but my Mum got over it when he decorated her frontroom and hallway a week after they met............lol

People say sh.t, I do it all the time, so does Ashleigh, Helens turnaround has been great and her winning would be an amazing end to the Show (whether you love or hate her)

Mine was the other way round, my wife married a hunky Irishman, but I told her mother I was a gynaecologist, instead of a professional golfer. She didn't believe me so I decorated her hallway through the letterbox, lol. She loves me now, lol.

She is drifting with 5 bookies and shortening with 5 bookies
Thats because the Bookies started to shorten her odds to entice more spending. If there is a firm favourite, then fewer people bet. Poor odds, less reward for the average punter. Shorting the odds of another HM in the final week encourages spending and evens the spread.

Its all down to how much the bookies are willing to push the matter. They are there to make money. The more bets placed, across the board, maximises profit. But push it too far and a curve ball result would be costly.

If there are no bets placed on a housemate for 9 weeks, then the vast majority of bets are made final week, the odds WILL drop because they have to drop.
The people who made bets and intended to vote for the housemates they bet on are not going to change their mind.
I was considering making a bet on Ash weeks ago when he was 30/1, but I would not have voted for him. There will be others who HAVE done what I was going to do.

Heartening as it is to see the odds shortening for Helen, it isnt everything

As we know Matthew was fave to stay with the bookies - we booted his ass
Toya was fave to stay with the bookies - we booted her skanky ass
Winston was always in top 3 with bookies - Ashleighs bitter fans booted his ass

Dont rely completely on the odds, nice as it is to see, it all comes down to transferring that to votes, and we all know how helpful BB are in opening and closing lines on the night to give us a better chance with our fave

What I do believe, is that Helen has had a major turnaround with the public, and the GBP love a redemption story, rather than the story of a little beauty queen whose never had to work a day in her life and has been spoiled rotten by her family. (Nothing wrong with that, but it isnt what the GBP want)

On the other hand - a girl whose life has been ****, some of it her own fault as she admits, has been in foster care, pregnant at 16, the man f.cked off, got a job as a clerk, worked hard, made another mistake (huge) and has spent a lot of time paying for it (being beaten up in pubs/street etc) and has now shown us the soft underbelly of her character after fighting her emotions to keep the hard surface that she wants people to see to protect herself.

Its also obvious that even though Helen went back to school to get GCSE's, she is not the brightest in the house (academically speaking), and that partly her arguing is frustration at not being able to deal with things logically when she is upset

She is a typical underdog, and as such, deserves the GBP's support

So lets not give it to the girl who has everything (not her fault I know)
Lets give it to the girl who has worked hard to get her own business (and yes, sleeping with men you dont want to sleep with must be very hard) and provide a decent life for her son

VOTE FOR HELEN FOR A FAIRYTALE ENDING!!!

The Ashleigh haters don't even know anything about her.
She works in a clothes shop and does modelling in her free time.
She is a fund raiser for a animal charity.
She does support groups for girls with low self esteem, obviously this is related to her own experiences of being bullied.
She has been accused of being a "daddy's girl", yet they are actually estranged.
She lives on a council estate. She did not come from a middle class background and go off the rails because she was a spoilt brat, that is Helen.
Haters will be pessimistic about all of this.

In reality even on racing terms and I take no notice of betting as to BB anyway.

There is little really between all the first 3 in the betting.Ashleigh is only marginally now into the odds on scenario, with Helen somewhere around 11/2 for in 3rd place.

In actual betting terms, although there is just an odds on favourite, that is pretty near an open race expected between those 3 in all fact.

Haters will be pessimistic about all of this.

fgs Miranda she's just finished school :/

" rather than the story of a little beauty queen whose never had to work a day in her life "

I know that Niamh, its not a criticism, just that she seems to have had a charmed life with her parents, which I did with mine, which is why I always feel that the ones who dont/didnt have that are slightly more deserving

You know I havent liked Helen all the way through this but when I see a damaged person, whether that be on Big Brother or someone drinking in a doorway on the street, I always wonder what went wrong to make them like that, and with Helen, I started to see a vulnerability that was sad and made me look at her in a different way

I have no doubt, much as I would like Ash in the mix too, just cause I love him, that Helen & Ashleigh have made the last few weeks watchable and have made this series for me this year, the other also rans are okay but would they honestly have created so much turmoil and angst on this forum, I dont think so

I would be very happy with Helen winning and Ashleigh coming 2nd, I would also be ok vice versa, lets face it, i'll be okay whatever happens cause I didnt bet my life on the outcome lol

But obvs my perfect ideal finish would be a Helen win, as I think she is the least expecting and would benefit from knowing she can be liked, more than the others

I do wish you luck though Niamh, and who knows, we may even like the same person in CBB........................

Ashleigh was never gonna be overtaken before the final actually starts anyway, she was too far ahead. It looks like Helen is probably going to be second favourite going into it though which would be an amazing turnaround from the start of the week (although when the show actually starts she will drift out again and Christopher will overtake because of the difference in reaction they'll get from the crowd).

Ash is also coming in quite a lot right now

We are all entitled to our opinion, and I said a few days ago that I was going to avoid all "arguments" this final week, so please don't take this the wrong way - BB is all in good fun and we are all fans.

Here's my problem with the your above statement, you have taken someone who has made many mistakes in life, alot of which are due to her attitude and aggression, and made her out to be the underdog. But in the BB house Helen has been topdog.

In the same statement you d*nmed Ashleigh for having a charmed life and never working a day in her life, neither of which are true.

There is an inconsistency to it all. Why give so much benefit of the doubt to one HM, while developing a complete picture of their life. Yet forgive the other nothing and wrongly accuse of things in their "real" life.

I know it will be very difficult but try and put yourself in Ashleigh's shoes for a moment. She was bullied at school. Then she gets to go on Big Brother, expecting and hoping for a fun summer. Instead she meets Helen and her nasty gang. So is back in the playground and so is miserable. You have to put yourself in her shoes and look at it from her perspective and not your own perspective. Helen and the nasty gang had the attitude of "Ashleigh's miserable", they weren't interested in why and didn't care and the reason is because they are nasty and don't care.

Oh FFS some of you posters could twist things and make Fred West sound like Julie Andrews coach. This stuff you are writing is from her back story and internet friends. Her dad may not be playing hide the sausage with mrs Dermaglens dotties mammy, but he is a wealthy man in his own right and is very very close to his spoilt daughter. He dotes on her and has been very proactive in her campaign to win.

She does work part time but her so called fund raising activities are as yet words of hype yet unproven to a degree where no animal charity has spoken out on her behalf. I give the odd hundred to Cancer research but I sure as hell aint an active campaigner and a do goodie fund raiser. It pisses me off when people tell the world they are an animal activist and a fund raiser just to make them sound cute and current. Real fund raisers don't shout about it, they get on with things quietly and don't want hype.

You make her house sound like a run down ramshackle in a crime ridden estate, Derry is pretty upmarket and even some of the old council estates are more than 80% privately owned, my cousin lives on the Waterside near Ashleighs mammy and she certainly aint no benefit case and her pushy mammy is pretty well known in Derry as is *******igh so please don't try to make her out to be a saint.

If you are going to research her, talk to someone on the ground that is close to her, not the internet ****e that she and her family write. These types of posts really get my goat and I am sorry if it makes you feel aggrieved but there is way too much hype about her out there that does not stand scrutiny.

Sorry to burst your bubble but results dating back to the beginning of time are pretty crappy guides. Mark was fav way back then and where is he now. If you were to start a new poll, those figures would be a tad out of sync. Ashleighs race was run on the forums weeks ago, Helens race with Ash on her apron strings is the current trend. Chris and Pav are still stuck in the starting gate and *******igh and creepy Chris are running round like headless chickens living on oats provided last month.

The simple truth is that 50% of bets will be placed today and most people are waiting on the edits tonight its that close its hard to call. If Ash and Helen get good edits then the result will be very very close. If dermaglen Dottie gets a good edit, she will probably win if the forums get down to the bookies but its not a foregone conclusion.

Helen shocked audiences when she branded Jale an “attention-seeking b**tard”, having already called her “a slug” and nicknamed her “Slugworth” in a conversation behind her back the previous night.

Although she wasn’t issued with an official warning for her behaviour, show bosses did warn Helen: “Big Brother thinks your behaviour is unacceptable and Big Brother does not tolerate unacceptable behaviour. If this type of behaviour occurs again then Big Brother may have to issue you with a formal warning or take further serious action.

“Name-calling, persistent ridiculing and behaviour that results in an individual becoming ostracised from the group are all types of behaviour that can be perceived as bullying.”

Dont let it get to you chuff, just keep voting for our girl Helen and we'll get her to the end

As far as Ashleigh doing volunteer work at her local rehoming centre, she may do

It doesnt mean Helen hates animals, in fact Im surprised no one has photoshopped a pic of Helen kicking a puppy lol

HELEN TO WIN!!

It would never do that !!did you spot whoever it was who's shoved bullying down out necks for weeks, didn't come up with any proof? just slipped away instead :joker: sad really if its wasn't so desperate :joker:

well when you cant win an argument lol

Im sick of all the bullying crap about Helen

yes, she was a bitch for the first few weeks, her treatment of Jale wound me right up but since Pauline went, she has changed so much, and even her relationship with Ash has changed her too

She has not bullied anyone since then, she has rowed with people and they have rowed back, thats all, but Ashleigh & Chris (and before him, Danielle) have spent the last 6 weeks slagging her off, completely fixated on her demise

Im praying that tonight, something nice will happen for Helen and she will know that people appreciate her journey and love her, faults and all!

HELEN TO WIN!!

Keep voting chuff!

Seems like a final 2 between Helen and Ashleigh yes. I think Ashleigh will win, but Helen thoroughly deserves 2nd or 1st, just like Ashleigh!

While it saddens me greatly that Helen might actually get second place (so many people have been duped by BB!!!) it makes me very happy that she's not going to win and as we all know with Big Brother, there's no prize for second place!

Ashleigh, our BB15 WINNER!!!!!
