Last night was a very good show for her. She needs to keep showing her nicer side and she will do very well. She may not win, but she will always have my support.

I really can't see her winning but I might have to have a little flutter on that. I think her chances are better than 10/1, anyway. I personally would price them as:

Ashleigh 4/6
Christopher 6/4
Helen 5/1
Chris 12/1
Ash 25/1
Pav 40/1

I'd also say Ashleigh is definitely not realistically 4/11 like some of those bookies have her! That's a fudged price to discourage bets on her (because they, and I, do think she's still favourite to win).

If anyone's just wanting a smallish bet on Ashleigh NOT winning, I'd say £20 on Christopher (5/2, £70) and £5 on Helen (14/1, £75) is currently a decent bet.

If you're OK with a 60%ish chance of losing your £25.

Helen could win, Matthew was 10/1 outsider to be evicted over Ash at something like 4/9? and Matthew left.

Helen could easily win at 10/1 her odds have dramatically dropped for a reason, she has the support

That price would have been the "next eviction" price for the week, though... you wouldn't have been paid out on that, as the first eviction was Mark (who was something stupid like 1/8). I don't actually know if anywhere was doing odds for the double / 2nd eviction of the night? Somewhere online might have whipped up odds for "next" after Mark left, but it would have been a small window and you wouldn't have found 66/1. Although he'd probably still have been a massive outsider... Pav likely going odds on.

No it was his odds the week he was up

Yes, the week of the double eviction, the odds were for next eviction, Winston 66/1, Mark 1/8. Mark was the next eviction, a bet on Winston would have been a loser. He was evicted THAT NIGHT, but he was not the next eviction. Trust me, you wouldn't have been paid out on that 66/1.

In other news... **** it, I've just stuck £10 on Helen at 32/1 (BetFred introductory offer double odds, 16/1). £330? Screw you Ashleigh... HELEN TO WIN!! :joker:

No ,sorry you're wrong

I am 100% not wrong, every set of eviction odds have been either for "next eviction" or numbered (e.g. 9th eviction). I can't remember the number of this eviction but let's ay it was eviction 9 and 10...

You would have been getting Winston 66/1 for either "Next Eviction" or "9th eviction", while Mark was still in the running at a massive odds on (which is what will have pushed Winston's odds out so far).

Mark was out first on the night, making him the NEXT eviction at those odds, and also the 9TH eviction overall... those are the only two markets you would have been betting on.

Winston was NOT NEXT, and he was 10TH not 9TH.

I settle over 400 bets a day. Your bet is a loser sir, get out of my shop :joker:

The bookies are notoriously bad at predicting BB winners, so Ashleigh currently being favourite can be taken with a pinch of salt. ;)

I would say Helen, Christopher and Ashleigh are all in with a chance.

Chris, Ash and Pav very unlikely though.

It means if you place £1 on someone at 8/1 to win - and they do win - you get £8 back from the bookie plus return of your £1 bet.

That means if you bet 1 pound, you get 8 pounds back. The shorter the odds, the more likely the betmaker thinks the person will win/the more odds that have been placed on that person.

Hope that makes sense/helps :)

Come on BB, more positive Helen edits please... Betfred's odds have halved since I put my bet on :hehe:.

Annoyingly though the cut in Helen's odds seems to only be pushing Chris / Ash / Pav's odds out with Christopher and Ashleigh staying the same. If Christopher drifts to 7/2 I'll have £20 on him, too. Not worth it at 5/2 though...

Ashleigh I don't think will leave odds-on.

Thats why they go 4/7 Ashleigh as they dont want to take any money for her..

They are offering 8/1 Helen as they know if they can make it look like people are backing her then the bookies will clear up...

I doubt Ashleighs price will get better but i think the rest will get shorter as we near Friday.

The bookies got the eviction spot on though, they had Mark at un-betable odds of something like 1/8 (which was an obvious certainty) and Mark went.

Not that they weren't wrong having him as a rank outsider, like I said I'm sure they WOULD have gotten that wrong had anywhere been offering odds on the 2nd eviction of the double they would have had Pav as favourite and Winston still out, probably 33/1.

Helen won't win yes she might move out of the 5th place and become 4th/3rd instead, but Ashleigh & Christopher have both got massive support that are 2x the size of Helen's

The amount doesn't matter.......For example,
Ashleigh has 100s of supporters , none vote
Helen has 20 ,they all vote
Helen wins,
So its nothing to do with who has most support, it's to do with picking the phone up and spending money.

I think it is best to look at the Most Popular Bets pie chart on Oddschecker.

At the moment it reads

25% Ashleigh
16% Mark
16% Winston
14% Christopher
13% Chris

If Helen makes it into that top 5 before Friday live final, then there is a strong chance of her finishing high up, even winning.
If you take out Mark and Winston, the % of bets placed reflects the order of online polls.

Last Friday Winston was 5th in the morning and by the start of the show, he had jumped to 2nd behind Mark in the most popular bets placed for next eviction. That is why it was not a shock that he was evicted.

It's does people will vote to protect their winnings.

If ashleigh does has 25% of all bets placed then, she is well place to win.

If lots of people place a large amount of bets on helen then she might sneak a win.

It won't be 100% accurate all the time, but combining polls with bets being placed can give a fairly good estimate.
People are not always voting for the person they bet money on, but a fairly significant % of them are just as a fairly significant % of those voting on polls are voting for that person.

I am saying that if Helen appears on that top 5, her chances of finishing high increase.

I dont see any fawning tbh I see a good friendship, say it was Ash or some younger good looking fellow, would you still say the same thing? Imo it is anyones game at the moment, someone put 1,000 bet on Helen yesterday but we have to remember that those who have put bets on the others will also try and make sure that they get their rewards. Chris had been top of the shop for a long time so those who put their money in then and now will want to use the telephone as well. I do wonder if I am honest and am waiting to see what will happen this week, but, if that is the case she has totally encouraged the friendship. He hasnt made moves on her other than to say that he values her friendship and that he would have been lost without it. There is nothing like a good friendship so long as loyalty is in play. I do have a feeling that he has been made a scapegoat for quite a few.

I was just making a stament of truth tbh, I do not understand the legistics myself but logic tells me that those who have bet over the season, will want to try and make their bets valid. Thus the three who were in the top will have had a lot of bets already on them enabling them to stay at the top. Thus, hopefully, many telephone votes. Only my theories. let me put it another way ,yesterday Helen was 25-1 ,so to get her to her new odds of 6-1 in some places today means a LOT of last minute money has been placed on her, those placing that type of money will want something back ,and at 25-1 they will get a damn site more back than backing a fav ,hope thats a little clear ,I'm just writing what my hubby dictates

My hubby works in a bookies, it takes a LOT more than £1000 to change the odds that much

That's true but it's also more complicated than that, the size of the bets makes a difference not just the overall total.

e.g. 100 x £1000 bets on a housemate is much more likely to alter the odds than 10000 x £10 bets... even though the total money staked in each scenario is £100,000.

The reason being that a "serious" bet of £1000 will catch the bookmakers attention (the actual bookmakers, the people sitting in London playing with the odds) whereas a "casual" bet of £10 means much less, even if there are a tonne of them.

A small £10 bet is just a hopeful "throwaway" flutter that someone might place just because they like the person or fancy a bet at bigger odds... whereas a £1000 (or bigger) bet on a selection with long odds suggests that whoever is placing the bet really thinks there is a good chance of a win. In horse racing it can suggest insider / trainer knowledge (e.g. info has leaked that the favourite for that race has been erratic in training recently).

For a show like Big Brother, big bets being placed on an outsider could suggest that there's a campaign going on that might affect the outcome, or people have gotten wind of events in the house that are likely to sway opinion but haven't been aired on television yet. In this case, I'd say the "secret room" task has played a big part in prompting an increase in Helen to Win bets and the corresponding plummeting odds.

Even just thinking back to last year... Dexter and Gina's popularity soared when they were in the secret room. And on final week...

As anyone who understands betting will know, all odds are are an indication of who people are putting money on and at this point very few people are going to be putting money on the pretty much certain winner, Ashleigh!
So people are taking an outside chance on Helen because if, by some miracle, she was to win then they'll have a very good payout (because the chances of it actually happening are so slim!).

For a real indication of who's going to win you need to be looking at things like the Tellmix Poll where Ashleigh's currently at 43% of the vote with Helen just a bit behind at 10% of the vote.

BB automatically put her in the secret task room so she can spy unchallenged for the third time on Ashleigh. All of a sudden BBots audience and guess are promoting a Helen win. Think about you're ultimately putting £100k in the hands of a not so nice person.

With all this talk of manipulation it looks like BB have manipulated Helen's supporters into thinking she could win when she hasn't got a hope in hell. :D

Sharon Dempster See this why I don't support Helen she could of kept her mouth shut but she started again when everyone is having fun and again even though she listened in on the housemates she tends to add porky pie lies to make Ashleigh look bad. Christopher explained to her why she said those things but Helen will not listen to reason she continues to put Ashleigh in a bad light with some truth and lies added this woman hasn't learnt a thing in the BB HOUSE. She could of played this to her advantage but instead she has this obsession with Ashleigh don't you understand Helen your behaviour has affected some people in the house including Ashleigh you have drained this house to the core and she still cant see that.Ashleigh feels the way she does because of the way she was treated by Helen after giving Helen chance after chance sooooo many times. And for that reason and hurting other housemates I don't think she deserves to win.

Graham Green about 4 weeks ago when everyone was saying she had changed and been on a journey ( thank god even they aren't trying to flog that one now) I said that I could see glimmers of a nicer person, but every time I started to thaw to her, she went and did something to remind me of how vile she was in the beginning... and here she goes again. We are supposed to believe her tears and sorry's in the diary room, but she just cannot help herself - nasty and negative to the core

Sharon Dempster I agree she hasn't learnt nothing and she refuses to take responsibilities from hurting and almost attacking another housemate, if she was on the outside I have no doubt she would have because she likes her own way my god I wish I could be there on the last night they come out.

That's exactly what they're doing and i kinda' almost feel bad for the people who have been duped into voting for her by the bb hype team who's job it is to give people false hope and enough of it to make them think that if they vote for Helen enough that she really stands a chance of winning when in reality it's impossible with the number of supporters she's got compared to others!
Tha favourite has over 4 times the number of supporters that Helen does so unless a group Millionaires suddenly start piling thousands upon thousands of votes votes on Helen it just statistically CANNOT happen............and thank god for that!!!!

If it makes BB a bit more cash it might encourage them to resign their BB contract so we get it next year so at least something good might come out of the Helen fans wasting their money!

I just want Friday night to get here so that the Helen supporters will finally see Ashleigh SMASH the Win and take home the winnings.

Her support from Derry will depend on which side of the water you come from. If the bogside or waterside are involved and whether or not she kicks with the left or right foot. Pretty sure the Irish will be supporting Ashleigh in large numbers!!! I feel Southern Ireland is a lot more traditional (that's how it's felt when i've been there) and with Ashleigh being from the North that's where her main Irish fan-base will be i would imagine.

Tellymix, especially this late in the game, are usually regarded as the go to site to get an accurate read of real housemate support and it's the one that usually the closest on Fan support % to votes conversion once the winners/finalists % are released afterwards and Ashgliegh is a long, long way in front on there! She's gonna' win, of that i have absolutely no doubt!

Its not that it isn't watched in the ROI, its just that its difficult to watch. You need to be a committed BB fan, versus being an armchair viewer.

I know a fair few people who watched BB on C4 and were really annoyed when it moved C5, because of the lack of the channels availability here. Of those I'm the only one still watching. From the few I knew, most didn't have Sky, or FTA satellite TV. For those that did have Sky, they had no idea how to access the channel through the menu system.

Personally nothing was going to stop me viewing the show, it has been part of my summer for 15 years. Sad as that sounds! :D

This isn't odds but the way I want to see it go down in final show and why.
6th-Helen, because she has been cruel and nasty. Cruelty should never be rewarded
5th-Ash, for not having any balls to tell Helen the truth of how she is. P***y
4th-Pav, too little, too late. Not his fault entirely
3rd & 2nd-Chris and Christopher tie, both nice enough, both spoke up when they were really pushed, but both needed to speak up more.
1st-Ashleigh, She had the balls to stand her ground with Helen, and was a well liked housemate by all, including, but not all, of Helen's brood.

I have been looking at different places and am pleased to say that yes Chris does have a lot of support. Unfortuntely the Ashleigh v Helen brigades are trying to say dont split the vote just vote for A or H. For me I say keep on voting for Chris if you would like him to win, there is a lot of support for him and at the end of the day it is the telephone votes which should count. He has had many bets placed on him in the past as he was in top spot for a long time. Now surely those who placed these bets will want to phone in to protect their money. His odds may have drifted at the moment but all bets released now will bring in a little bit more for the cash box.

The average house price in Derry is £155,000 according to Zoopla. You spent more than that decorating your garden? :o
With your dosh you could help Helen win practically on your own....is that why you're so sure she will?

well okay, mea culpa, I thought you could get a pad in Derry for £55,000

and before anyone thinks im a massive gnome collector,,I am including groundworks bill for the garden lol
