Ben Haenow: 'Simon Cowell doesn't prefer Fleur East'

The X Factor's Ben Haenow has rejected the idea that Simon Cowell would prefer Fleur East to win the series.

The singer said that his mentor is not "biased" towards East, despite describing her performance of 'Uptown Funk' as "one of the top three performances" ever on the show.

Speaking to PA, Haenow said: "I don't think he's biased. He's really excited for the both of us and happy we got this far. I think he believes in both of us as artists. I don't think he'd have a favourite there.

"I think he's just got two of us through and two people who have worked so hard really beforehand trying to make it in the music industry. I think he's confident in both of us."

He added that Cowell has offered him "priceless" advice during his time on the show.

Haenow will compete against East and Andrea Faustini in this weekend's live final, which will take place in front of a 10,000-strong crowd at the SSE Arena Wembley.

Well as someone that supported Luke last year I can kind of agree with you because Luke last year at 17 was like Ben to begin with, awkward onstage, and his vocal not being brilliant to begin with (although always showing the potential that he could get better) and he did and by the time that the semi-final came around he was head and shoulders above the other three.

Ben on the other hand is nearly 30, his vocal isn't as good as Luke's, his stage presence is non existent compared to most acts but in particular Luke who had stage presence in a bundance.
