Well what would you say is Fleur's best Tour performance? Because I'll give it a shot and see if she really has improved.

And tbh it wasn't just Fleur that horrified me in that last series for getting so many votes but Ben also as he couldn't sing very well, and posed in every performance it was becoming seriously annoying to me.

As a Fleur fan myself I can admit her voice wasn't that good. It was OK, but a bit too much like your local pub singer. Although she is a great dancer, confident and has a star quality about her, she is the full package and out of this world vocals aren't necessary in the area of music Fleur's entering.

Realistically she was the only act out of 2014's XF that has a chance of making it big in the music industry. Anyone else that tries will fall flat, I cannot see Ben getting anywhere either despite winning.

Fleur East is working on an "uptempo" album with Wayne Hector.

The X Factor runner-up spoke to Digital Spy about working with the songwriter on her "urban-inspired" debut record.

"I've already started writing and recording so I've been in with Wayne Hector, I've been in with Jack Splash and then straight after the X Factor tour I'm going to be recording with TMS and Invisible Men," said East.

"I want it to be urban-inspired but I want to salute the old school as well so I want it to be really uptempo, uplifting."

Hector has worked with artists including One Direction, Britney Spears, Girls Aloud and Paloma Faith.

The singer also said she has spoken to Mark Ronson, who admitted he owed her a drink for her role in catalysing the success of 'Uptown Funk'.

East is expected to release her album later this year through Simon Cowell's label Syco.

Fleur East has been pretty quiet since she finished in second place on The X Factor last year, but the exciting thing is that she has been busy working on her debut album, which we literally cannot wait to hear.

In a recent interview, East admitted that there will be some more ‘Uptown Funk’ type songs on the track, which is fantastic. If you cast your mind back to last year, you’ll know that Fleur was more or less the underdog on the show. During the first half of the live shows, Fleur was pretty much in he crowd and didn’t really stand out that much, but something changed around the midpoint, and she stood out for the rest of the series. But, it goes without saying that it’s when Fleur gave a stunning performance of Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk that things changed dramatically for her, and as a result, she found her voice and finished in second place.

Out of everyone on the show last year, if there’s one artist’s music we can’t wait to hear, it’s Fleur’s. She may have upset Mark Ronson in the process whilst performing Uptown Funk, but ah well.

However, Fleur is gearing up to put all those covers behind her as it’s almost time to hear her very own, original music.

Sax:
As X Factor “moments” go, few can rival Fleur’s breakout performance of ‘Uptown Funk.’ Smartly, then, she has cooked up her own take on the sound with the deliciously addictive ’Sax.’
Big, booming, and busy, the Electric cut (which was co-written by East) features funkified production and ample swagger to match. Heavy on the metaphors, the track showcases a flirty Fleur throwing down the gauntlet to a potential bae. She belts “if you wanna hear me sing, you better play that Sax.” A seismic saxophone rift follows; one that sounds much fuller and more robust than those featured on some of this Summer’s big hits. A subtle, but positively impactful point of difference.
The pre-chorus sees the singer chant “baby, baby I’ve been waiting for someone to blow my mind”…and blow our minds she does.

This dynamite uptempo fuses the omnipresent synth sound of 80’s with a markedly modern knock. The end result? A sure-fire single.

At this junction, it’s become more than apparent that uptempo is the lane Fleur aims to rule and reside in.
Yet, on this track she proves she is also able to be versatile within said sound.
Dipped in island spice, the infectious production – courtesy of Electric – presents a fresh take on a “love song.” Indeed, instead of being sappy or soggy, the track is danceable and should have many whining their waists.

Paris:
Easily the most unique sounding song of the quad, the track sees Fleur slow things down – without losing any of the sass so effortlessly present in the previous cuts.
Slick and laid back, this emanates an air of “throwback.” Not to times of distant past, but more so a polished take on early Fugees material.
The rich, creamy production sets a blazing backdrop for East’s bedroom ambition, which she doesn’t shy away from letting the listener know. She sings “My bedroom is one hour away. Call…the…taxi.”
