Courtney Cox has revealed that both she and Jennifer Aniston are keen on reuniting the cast of Friends for a special episode.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, Cox admitted that the pair "talk about [a reunion show] because we love each other and we hang out all the time." The actress, who shot to fame in a Bruce Springsteen video, clarified: "I'm just saying I'm not opposed to it. Jennifer said she's not opposed to it. When we say reunion, [I mean] do a little Thanksgiving episode... why not? What are we all doing? It sounds fun."

The popular comedy ran for ten seasons from 1994 until 2004. A spin-off attempt called Joey, with Matt LeBlanc reprising his character, was axed earlier this year after only two seasons due to plummeting ratings.

A reunion would be so cool. But I also think it could ruin how it ended.

I agree with you there.
Talks have been going on about a reunion for a while. It would be absolutely amazing to see them again, even though I still love watching reruns. I just hope it's really good (which I'm pretty sure it will be), as I don't want the great way it ended to be spoilt.

Nooo.
Im like the biggest Friends fan ever. I only need 2 more series to have every episode, and i have games and books etc, and I think this is a bad idea. it would ruin it, depending what they do! It'd have to take a year or more planning.

I doubt it's that, they got paid ridiculously high amounts! I'm sure I read somewhere that Jennifer Aniston got paid $500000 per episode. Unless they've spent most of it.

I think it's not only the money, but in fact they're craving the fame they had when they were in the show.

Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston are best friends. I doubt they want fame, I think they just want a reunion.

Why is everyone so cynical?

Only one person asked the question.

It wasn't a question I asked, I made a statement.

I know they're best friends. But I'm saying it's got nothing to do with them running out of money, or their bank balances running low!

I think instead they're missing the way things were when they were in Friends, i.e. the fame, their fans, the general love people had for the programme. It has nothing to do with being cynical, just a viewpoint.

I'm the biggest Friends fan ever  I have all the DVDs and the books and I even made a scrapbook. They were the major obsession before BB. :spin: I'm sure one episode would be fine. Just a Ross/Rachel wedding!

I don't think it's possible to ruin how it ended personally, I absolutely love friends, I must have watched every single episode, and each episode fails to dissapoint me.. IMO, it's not like a sequel to a film, with expectations running high..Friends is a sitcom, so if the producers/directors etc.. were able to make us all laugh constantly for 10 years, then i doubt they've lost that ability.

That said, I'd love to see a reunion episode!! :hello:

But it ended on a really high note. It ended with everyone's lives finally getting on track, going to where they want it to. If they came back for an episode and showed us that it's all failed, that would just ruin the good note it ended on.

I highly doubt they'd show it failed...but I'm just thinking, since it ended on such a high note and so brilliantly, what could they possibly add to it? :puzzled:

I wouldn't like to see a one-off show. I would like to see the whole series come back... We followed them thru 10 years of changing lives, why can't we follow them for another 10 or more?

I'm a HUGE Friends fan!!! I am almost the same age as the characters, and me and all my friends would get together to watch it every week. We could relate to it. That's what I miss about it. I would love them to start it up again. The writers done a fantastic job first time around. There's no way they would mess up by starting up again!

I love this show too. Not as much as Sex And The City, but Friends is one of my all time faves, and I have got the DVDs of all the series. I think they shouldn't do a reunion though - it could ruin it.

I thought the first five seasons were great but the show went downhill after Chandler and Monica got together - from the sixth season on.

And I gave up on the spin-off 'Joey' after a couple of episodes. So I can't imagine it would be too good an idea, this one.

I tried to watch Joey, but it was awful. He worked as part of an ensemble, but not a main character - it's been cancelled now, and I can't say I'm surprised.

Every Friends episode is absolute class imo.
You can't go wrong. And I never get bored of them!

I liked Joey aswell, I wish it hadn't got cancelled.
