He said will the Prime Minister
rule out a VAT increase

The PM said : Yes.

And Fecking Miliband would not trust his word
so why ask the fecking question.

VAT is High Now
if anything it should come down

[In the final Prime Minister's Questions before the election,
Labour leader Ed Miliband is seemingly wrong-footed by David Cameron.]

The Tories set the trap brilliantly tbf and Miliband walked right into it, could tell he was thrown by that answer and never really recovered himself. Cameron was in good form today in general tbh, his best PMQs performance in a long time

Only one thing wrong, he indictated no vat rise in 2010 too but then did it. In fact Conservative govts; are always the more ready to do so.
Actually near doubling it to 15% from 8% in the early 80s too.
Not sure I would take his word on vat again this time and certainly to not extending it to other items too.

Being fair, Cameron was better this week although again in the main, few questions dealt with and answered,as was reflected in the comments of viewers read afterwards.

I am actually fairly sure all are glad this farcical spectacle is done for this parliament now, hopefully some reason and better way of doing it comes about after May 7th.
It was really awful again today, cannot believe I rushed back from Leicester to watch this shower today.

But not good enough form to have a simple honest live one-to-one debate with Mr Miliband ???

Raucous shouting and snappy soundbites are no substitute for honest rational intelligent debate.

I wonder why Mr Cameron will not have one of those........:puzzled::puzzled:

Because in such a debate, he would not have his cheering 'gang' of backbenchers cheering him on in those debates.
Like most cowards to manage anything of substance against a perceived possibly difficult or strong opponent,he would need his 'baying mob' behind him cheering every word he said and what he did.

I don't think however, I heard the PM actually say that vat would definitely not be also added to items it currently is not on.
That in itself would mean an extension of vat and therefore doesn't mean vat would be left unaltered by Cameron and Osborne, were, god forbid, they did get an overall majority.

Also as I said earlier, he said he had no plans to raise vat in 2010 but did anyway, then also extended it to some hot food sales too, such as cooked chicken in supermarkets for example.
Recall the pasty tax fiasco.

If vat is to be changed or extended, it is usually a Conservative govt; that will happily do it and never reduce it either, their history in govt; is littered with doing that, even after they said they wouldn't.

Camerons always better in debates IMO. Its easier for him to spout bullcrap convincingly, he is a fantastic liar. Not sure why this is classed as a good thing but meh

That is a delaying tactic while he formulated an answer, it's how you can tell when people are lying... eds answers are instant.
