EL11MINATION FINALE

Good evening everyone and welcome to the finale of Elimination 11!

Over the past fourteen days, fourteen players battled it out in multiple competitions but it was Jay and Lostie who saw them all off, and later tonight one of them will be crowned the winner, becoming the latest member to join the Elimination Hall of Fame, and take home this profile award:

But that's not all that's on the agenda tonight, we'll also take a look back at the past two weeks, I'll reveal who TiBB voted as their Favourite Player and when the final table is revealed we'll see who voted for who round by round :hehe:

Just under two weeks ago the fourteen players began the game with a race to find the longest word in a word search. Jersey emerged victorious, spotting ‘competition’ in a matter of minutes. But there was to be no HoH in this first round, as a twist meant the two players who were the slowest/submitted incorrect answers would become the first nominees. Since Tom and Nick both submitted words that didn’t appear in the word search at all, they were placed on the block. In what was one of the closest votes of the entire season and one that kept changing hands as the votes rolled into my inbox, eventually newbie Nick was eliminated by 7 votes to 5.

As Tom survived this first elimination, he was asked to pick the first Head of Household of the game, and in a move that perhaps tempted fate, but one that was cleverly instigated by the players who saved him - he chose Jay, who would go on to have another two HoH reigns over the course of the season. Behind the scenes the game was well underway, with alliances already being formed. Jay, Lostie and Liam teamed up, as did Daniel and Germyle and Calderyon, Luke and Jersey, while Tom instigated a comeback for the Eliminatti alliance that faired him so well last season, drawing in Jay, Lostie and Lucas…and even setting up a forum to talk tactics on! Final two deals also seemed to be being signed as early as round two, with Jersey and Luke becoming the ‘Meow Meow Big Babies’. Day 3 saw Josiah get voted out largely due to inactivity, but it was in Round 3 that the real drama was to come…

After a 24 hour battle in an Elimination style version of a +1/-1 game, Lostie became the next Head of Household, placing Germyle and Daniel on the block. But when the Diamond Power of Veto twist began to unfold, it seemed some players were taking the opportunity to make a big move early on, with Liam and Jay ending up as the final nominees when the proceedings were over. With Liam voted out, Lostie and Jay feared for their safety, but knew they would have to tighten up their game to repair the damage. And clearly, that’s exactly what they did.

The twists didn’t stop in round 4 though as when Tom became the new HoH he was asked to nominate not two, but three players for potential elimination. With Daniel, Germyle and Josh all on the block a game of Bingo is all that would separate them and the Power of Veto, but with very few numbers remaining it was Luke that came out on top, choosing to leave the nominations in tact. With seven votes to be cast and two players to be eliminated this round produced the most exciting vote of the game, as a 3-2-2 result led Germyle to be automatically eliminated and forced Tom to cast the only tie-breaking vote there was, and much to my surprise, it was for Daniel, not Josh. You’d be forgiven for thinking this might’ve repaired their relationship (which was hilarious to watch, I'm glad I can now say) but it seemed the only time they both weren’t at each other’s throats was when it came down to them both in the Friday Night Takeaway Veto competition, with a removal from the block on the line for Josh and a new enemy to be made with a replacement nominee for Tom. It went back to normal seconds after Tom won of course, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

After Jay finally saw the player he was most suspicious of (Calderyon) off in round five, by this point the game was in full swing and alliances were soon beginning to turn on one another, especially within the Eliminatti as Lucas, Lostie and Jay made clear to me they were planning to take out Tom, and they eventually did, eliminating him unanimously in round seven. But it was Josh who fell in round six against Iceman (who sat on the block four times before his eventual elimination at F4), threatening to expose PM’s in one of the most entertaining exits of the game. It was clear at this point that promises were being broken.

As the final five quickly approached Lucas appeared out of nowhere to do the HoH and PoV double, sending Luke packing, but this was followed by Lucas’ elimination in the following round (after being the last player to be nominated in the entire game) at the hands of Lostie, after Jersey saved himself by winning his first Veto and being the first player all game to use it.

With just four players left and a place in the final three to compete for the last HoH at stake, the final Power of Veto comp was more important than any other. With Jersey guaranteed safety as HoH, his nominations of power players Jay and Lostie were changed after Lostie saved himself, forcing Iceman up onto the block. And at a time when he could have opted to take him out, Lostie remained as loyal as he promised he would be to his true alliance and kept Jay in the game, solidifying our final three.

In Part 1 of the final HoH comp all three players took on a 24 hour battle, but it was Jay who progressed to Part 3, with Lostie and Jersey challenging their memory of the game in a bid to join him. Eventually it was Jay and Lostie who went head to head to be crowned the last Head of Household, and at a final question shootout it was Lostie who emerged victorious, choosing to cast the final vote to eliminate for Jersey, thereby finishing the job that himself and Jay had begun at the very start of the game. A game well played, if I do say so myself.

I think TIBB UBB is a different game to this as that is about getting votes and popularity. this game is good because anyone can win it you don't have to be liked and popular to win, you just have to play a good game. That's why i campaigned to get Liam out because he won ICB and he was the least trustworthy person in the game imo

Firstly, thank you to everyone that applied. It took a while to get things going and I did worry at one point whether this would be able to run, but thanks to the people who very kindly accepted my invitation we were able to in the end! You have been an amazing cast and I've loved watching you play with such enthusiasm for the competitions and throughout the game, I really appreciate it!

Thank you also to anyone who has commented, viewed and just generally followed the game (yes, that includes you Amy ;) obvs), I'm really glad people have been interested in what's going on. And especially thank you to everyone for their kind words throughout this game as well, I have noticed them all and I appreciate every single one of them, honestly!

A massive thank you is in order for Jess who created all of the players keys for this season, the logo, the profile award AND the voting keys at such short notice last night! This game would not have looked like I hoped it would without her so thank you so much!

Thanks also to Josy for putting up with game info PM's so no one could accuse me of cheating, and to James for dealing with a technical problem.

And thanks of course to Ben for trusting me to take this on, he did such a great job so I had big boots to fill and running a BBUS game on this forum was all I ever wanted to do once I'd got into the format and it has been the most fun :D

The thing is and i have talked this out with Jay too. The only reason i put Jay up with the DPoV was because he nominated me first on the second round and because he kept (and started) -:ing me and therefore i thought i was his main target (and most of his alliances target) for eviction.

Looking at the table, my suspicions were correct, since both Lostie! and Liam voted to evict me.

But yeah no hard feelings, but that was the reason.

Even though Jersey was my main alliance, I voted him out knowing he would be safe as I felt Calderyon should get a vote to stay so it's not 6-0(as i like him as a member too). because he was also in my alliance as well but you have to please the jury members in order to win! I was paranoid as well that calderyon could find out about my secret final 2 deal with Jersey and expose us. Jersey knows about this too. Basically it was like Dan putting up Memphis so the alliance is a secret

hope there is no hard feelings! as i genuine like you as a member calderyon!
