Out of the 4 English teams, only Chelsea managed to get a win. Arsenal, Man Utd. and Man City all lost. Arsenal had the most embarrassing loss to Dinamo Zagreb. Terrible way to start their campaign with a loss against the weakest team in a fairly tough group which Bayern will still dominate. At this rate, Arsenal will have 0-0-3 record after the first round and full loss record isn´t a far sighted prediction either.

It's amazing how Olympiacos are still such a banana skin for these big clubs despite losing their star players year after year. The side that beat Utd a couple of years ago was so much stronger than this one (and even back then they were missing their top scorer from the first half of the season) yet they almost snatched a point from Bayern 2 weeks ago and are beating Arsenal at the Emirates.

Galatasaray finally gets a team that they could actually beat and they still manage to screw it by doing 2 own goals. Even though Astana helped them by making an own goal of their own.
Benfica surprises Atletico at away and get a brilliant victory over them. Well on form tonight (Wednesday). This team might be a serious contender in the future.

Group D :

Going by what you say, if we started playing swash buckling football from Leicester at the weekend onwards, and we went onto win the title (no chance of either happening of course), you'd have no right to cheer any success under Van Gaal. Our best form last season was playing 4-3-3 yet he decides to use 4-2-3-1 with two full backs that appear to be told to rarely get forward.

Confused about Chelsea's Brazilian young star Kenedy. Is he a winger, midfielder or a full back. I thought he was a forward but he's played in defence a few times now under Hiddink. Totally disagree. United have a much better squad than Liverpool but it does not really matter as we have been so **** under LVG we will probably lose anyway.
We should be better placed to win this tie as we play away second but our form at home has often been really poor.

First, NOT happy at being called Honey.
Second, yes we have a poor squad but seriously how many players at Liverpool are world class :shrug:
