TAR 12 was okay but a bit of a let down compared to S11, was hoping for more. I guess nobody I was really rooting for. S13 and 14 though are amazing, get through 12 quick!

You will love Survivor, I've been alternating Survivor and TAR lately and love both! Survivor is amazing, S20, S28 and S30 are my faves so far! S20 though start with the best!

What an episode! So sad to see Maria and Tiffany crumble at the detour, they seemed like such a strong team and did think they'd get further. Although am relieved Brian and Erica are safe, Erica's meltdown at the bell tower I thought would be it for them! I predict though that Flight Time and Big Easy will win the race, am still rooting for Meghan & Cheyne to win!

It's pretty bad. Cast wasn't very diverse and a lot of it was very predictable. Plus not many meltdowns and there wasn't many twists either. There are way better seasons without a doubt.

Luke be prepared for the Ken & Tina slayage that is TAR 13!

TAR 15 Ep's 8 & 9-

TAR 15 Ep 8- Meghan & Cheyne have a very good strategy, basically staying with whoever is in in the top 2 with them until they have to drop them. Starting to enjoy this season now, though has taken eight episodes to get really into it! Do like Brian and Erika too, Sam and Dan aren't bad. Flight-Time & Big Easy are really annoying me, hope they go soon- think everyone thinks they are a stronger team than they actually are! Gary and Matt don't stand a chance at all, so many easy mistakes - 'Are you a candeleebrah?' :laugh:

Only just finished the episode and Gary & Matt's exit was inevitable. At this stage I see the final three as being- Meghan & Cheyne, Flight Time & Big Easy and Brian and Erika who I think are outsiders and might steal third!

TAR 15 Ep 9- As much as non elimination legs impact the race, sometimes it can be dissapointing. In this case though I was so happy Brian and Erika survived and I'm really hope they manage to make it into the final three instead of the Globetrotters or Sam and Dan!

The only real lack of diversity came from the fact that most them were from California. I don't think it was really that predictable either but whatever. As for meltdowns, BABY THERE'S NO MORE MILK and REAL TRUTH FLAVOR and STOP THIS CAR VYXSIN and Nate and Jen on the boat like what?! As for twists, I don't think twists are inherently good and a season not having enough twists isn't automatically a bad one, but this season was the one that introduced U-Turns and Speed Bumps so that's just blatantly wrong lmao.

TAR 15 Finale-

Very befitting ending for TAR 15, didn't enjoy the season at first but really got into it. Meghan & Cheyne really deserved the win, so glad they beat Sam and Dan who really annoyed me. Brian and Erika did a great job too, real underdogs and really thought they had it at one point!

Moment of the Season- 'I CAYNT DO ET KAYNAN!'- Mika's freakout at the waterslide <3


Onto S16 next, excited for Jeff and Jordan!

Gutted Jeff & Jordan left but it seemed at times that they weren't even trying hard! Only teams I like that are left are Jet & Cord and Brent & Caite. A lot of unlikeable teams though unfortunately!

Nah, 14's route and tasks were all sooooo boring. The race felt dumbed down and the teams that did well from the start were the teams that made it to the end. So static and boring. 15 was really boring too :shrug:

I've started season 20 last night and I'm three episodes in. I really like it I'm finding the challenges so interesting

Brenchel are my favourites. I really like them both especially Rachel with her emotional breakdowns every so often and them scalping basic Vanessa had me howling. I want to watch them in BBUS now. I really like the first cousins too <3

The Hawaiian twins and the clowns being the first two eliminated </3 I suppose the irrel twins being eliminated sort of makes up for those tragic losses though

The host Jeff may be the worst RTV host he's so ****ing icy with the contestants.

My least favoruites by far are Art and JJ (Ewww thinking about them is making me a little nauseous)

I'm so thrilled that Rachel and Dave won. Granted it was predictable, they really have brought loads of entertainment for me their arguments have been hilarious, A Brenchel win would've happened in a perfect world but Rachel and Dave is still a good result. I've really enjoyed this as a whole there's plenty drama between the couples and Vanessa and Ralph and Rachel and Brendon's rivalry was hilarious. The only unlikeable contestants were Art and JJ they were horrible, their treatment of Brendon and Rachel wasn't warranted for anything.

I've watched the first two episodes of TAR21. Natalie and Nadiya are my favourites :lovedup: they're hilarious how impatient and snappy they are with each other. Trey and Lexi and Jaymes and James I am also liking so far.

Rob and Kelley are my least favourites, both are vile. Not keen on Gary and Will and long haired creatures either.

I actually felt really sorry for Amy and Daniel. I thought they were clear contenders for the win considering they would've won the first leg if they hadn't have helped Abby and Ryan. I suppose one thing I do like about TAR is its unpredictability

I'm so annoyed that Josh and Brent beat Natalie and Nadiya in the penultimate leg. Natalie and Nadiya have been consistently strong throughout and Josh and Brent have coasted from day one and for the past five/six legs have just NARROWLY beat elimination every time.

Brent and Josh winning has kind of peeved me off since their luck hot them to the end if it hadn't been for non elimination legs, James and Abba loosing their passports or Abbie and Ryan's U-Turn they would've gone. Just finished TARCan2 and it was great! Sukhi and Jinder are eternal and the Paris leg is one of the best of all time. I kinda wish I watched this one earlier because then I would easily be able to reach the conclusion that Steph and Kristen are a watered down version of Natalie and Meaghan with all the fun removed (and Nat/Meag aren't even that much fun.) I know people here like Steph and Kristen (maybe because they were a dominant F/F team) but they were so****ingboringomfg.

A goodish season to be honest, Brendon and Rachel were a scream and made this season good because without them it would have been meh.I'm gutted they didn't win but they came top 3 so they were on all episodes so that's okay for me. I'm quite surprised I liked Booper & Mark because for the first two episodes i found them annoying but i quickly grew to like them and i appreciate them, but i did expect them to be in the finale because they were one of the underdogs of this season. Art & JJ were okay at first but they got unbearable later on especially with their whining about Rachel and Brendon and how Rachel and Dave didn't U-Turn Rachel and Brendon. I did find Rachel and Dave the obvious winners because they dominated this season which got quite boring but i found Rachel hilarious. Vanessa and Rachel feuding was also hilarious and it was a mess that Phil made a argument between Rachel and Vanessa happen at the pit stop, I would dislike her because of her catty comments towards Rachel R but she was quite entertaining with Ralph.

Looking forward to see Rachel and Brendon back on All-Stars :love:

A good season with lots of couples to root for but of course Twinnies were the best and made this season for me.I'm glad i got to know Nadiya more than i did on Survivor for obvious reasons. I found it hilarious how most people found their shouting/yelling at each other annoying which made it more funny than it was. I'm gutted they didn't make top 3 but they were on every episode so i will take that. Okish winners but i was rooting for Trey and Lexi to win or even Jaymes and James who i found annoying at first but grew to like them. I'm glad no one i liked lost their passport like James/Abba did, I found them quite dull so wasn't a lost. Some teams went too soon </3 like Caitlin & Brittany. Overall a good cast.

So, after trying and failing to get into this show various times over the years, I started with 3 the other day (because I'm awkward like that), and having just binged it all, I think I picked a rather good entry point into TAR!

Flo & Zach (but, like, mainly Flo) were obviously stars. But you all know that already, right? I'm sixteen years late to this party, so if you haven't found time to bask in the glory of Florinka Pesenti by now then I have no idea what you've been doing. I can't pick one favourite moment, if not just because I watched it all so quickly that I barely took anything in, so I'll throw into the mix the bit where she shouts at Zach for taking too much time meddling with his zip-off trousers, along with the fact that she spends at least half the finale crying hysterically and threatening to quit (usually over air-con, or the existence of water, or Zach's face), even after resolutely swearing never to threaten to quit again :love:

In terms of non-Flo thoughts, I also loved Derek & Drew, who I find it hard to imagine are now nearly 50 irl (even though there were constant reminders of just how dated this season is throughout, as perhaps evidenced best by the fact that one of the tasks was literally "use a Kodak photo printing machine") and Teri & Ian, who I find it hard to imagine are now in their mid-60s irl, if not just because they already seemed like a pair of 70-year olds in the first place. I can't wait to see how many more countries Teri's pants can fall down in when I eventually get round to watching All-Stars!

Speaking of which... John Vito & Jill? Of all the couples? Granted, I'm guessing that Flo & Drew were their first choice... and maybe Ken & Gerrard were their second choice... and maybe after being turned down by everyone else including Tramel & Talicia (referring to Cozumel as "Chaka Khan" and wondering aloud why none of the places in Mexico are called Detroit :love:) they had no options left... but casting a team for All-Stars on the sole basis of their storyline being "dead 9/11 brother"? Peak CBS.

(also, I'm aware that me grandly professing my love for, say, Derek & Drew is more of a by-product of me being a TAR newb than anything else, and that once I'm able to put my opinions of the teams into context with the other seasons, I'll probably be a little more rational :laugh:) (I will always love you though, Drew) (call me) (on second thoughts, you're 47 now, maybe not)

Yeah, I'm almost definitely doing 5 next, and then I'll probably work my backwards until 1, before picking early seasons at random again until All-Stars :laugh: Why I don't do things the easy way is beyond me

Not sure if you know this but Flo and Drew dated for seven years affer TAR3! They were actually asked to be on All-Stars but Flo rejected bc the race brings out the worst in her (alol) and she would only run the race with Zach (which melts my heart but is also probably for the best bc I think he's the only person on the planet who could deal with her in race mode)

I want to rewatch a season before the BB vs Survivor vs TAR season starts but I'm undecided which. I've rewatched so many of the pre-S20 seasons countless time so I might go for Brenchel's first season or the Twinnies first season. Then again the golden series never get old to watch, so they're always a possibility too :laugh:

I'm actually a filthy liar and decided to watch 4 first, expecting not to enjoy it...

And I didn't. jk Kimora! I actually thought it was a really fun season, if not quite as fun as 3, and even if its cast wasn't as good as its predecessor's (three mediocre old white guys named Steve in one season? Who casts this show?), most of the evil - i.e. Steve & Josh - was eradicated early and my two favourite teams ended up being the final two. I really thought for most of the race that it would come down to the clowns and the asthmatic virgins, so for neither team to make the final three I was pleasantly surprised!

Kelly & Jon were probably my favourite overall, but I was fine with them not winning given that Flo & Zach had won the previous season, and for two amazing teams of a similar archetype to win consecutive seasons would be esentially unheard of. I probably wouldn't have rooted for Reichen & Chip as much if I were watching a season filmed in 2018, rather than a season filmed in 2003, but I'm glad they won even if it meant enduring all the thankfully outdated "see, (masc) gays can do x too!" overtones of their storyline. Anyway I'm sure that they're still together and happily in love with each other fifteen years lat... *checks Wikipedia* oh.

Other than that, I also enjoyed Tian & Jaree and Monica & Sheree. I guess Amanda & Chris(?) were fun, but that's probably because I can only remember her swearing profusely at him for the entire time they were on the show. Considering they finished (a very, very distant <3) third, David & Jeff were utterly irrelevant, and I couldn't tell you a thing about them other than a) they're surfer dudes and b) they're terrible at surfing.

Let's see how long I can delay actually watching season 5 and move onto 2 instead!

I've seen all the TAR seasons already but I haven't rewatched Rachel's first season since it aired so I'll probably watch that. I remember loads of fights from that season as well, and then the lovely Nary & Jamie just existing every episode as a pleasant balance :laugh: HATED Art & JJ though, bullying our poor Rachel who just wanted to enjoy the amazing race that's "supposed to be fun and good! :("

Tbh 5/6/7 is a pretty iconic era of seasons, so if you watch those 3 consecutively the wait will be worth it!
