So what - 1.5 overall?
As Daniel says - from where it was, a decent jump. Plus, those extra viewers chose a great episode to decide to tune into so hopefully it can build from that.

+1 only added another 155k (1%)
So basically 1.6 which is acceptable imo.
This series is probably going to average around 1.7/1.9 I really cant see it dropping to 1 million again I honestly think that was a fluke.
Ive not watched it live btw dunno about anyone else but allways watch it 15 minutes behind on recorded so I can skip the adds and the annoying "As the battle of the nations continues......" so I think a lot of people probably do the same and officials will reflect that.

1.59m is 1.6m rounded. Much better, but as I said, I hope it doesn't fall back! Would be great if tonight could get 1.7m, but there is no eviction, just a live show (which may ruin things with some stupid twist!)
It beat channel 4 by the skin of it's teeth last night because of the +1 rating - before it they had exactly the same rating in the 9pm slot.
I think we're still going to find Saturday's a problem but at least we're back into more salvageable territory now.

To compare, last summers first Monday got 1.65m, so that's some good news, that it was only 60k down. But then again, last summer increased every night from that Monday, leading to the Friday getting 2.00m.
Will.

thank goodness for that, 1.6 is decent.
People will probs tune back in after last night episode, so it can build on that.

I hope but last night was the weakest night in terms of competition for CBB, so I don't know if the rest of the week will be as high. Tonight New Tricks and Educating Cardiff could bring it back down. But hoping after last nights show and the live show tonight it can stay at the level (but I don't know if it will happen).

I wouldn't say it's a good rating.
It's still a **** rating for a summer CBB, lbr. I mean good it has increased from the awful weekend ratings, but whether it can maintain that increase for the rest of this week is another question. I mean last nights competition was weak.
Will.

it's only 100k short of last years Monday, but yeah it's not amazing, but decent imo.

Does anyone have the 5* Live From the House Rating?

I think overall this series will average the same as BB14. Around 1.9m. Possibly 1.7/1.8m at worst.

it will average over 2 million in official.
But yeah overnight will be 1.5-9.

I meant 1.9m officially lol.
I honestly can't see this series getting over 2m at all. Like at the moment, the BB14 ratings are higher than this series, and that averaged 1.9m officially with 1.5m overnight. So, I'm expecting around roughly the same figures for this series.

Having caught up with the last few episodes tonight I am enjoying this series but I'm glad to hear it's performing appallingly.
Summer CBB should not be a thing and if this doesn't make C5 realise it I don't know what will. Give us back our damn three weeks for civilian that you so rudely stole off us with your ****ing dreadful CBB obsession and run a five week CBB in January that you can go all out on.
Not only that, but I still cannot get over the disgusting way in which they treated Tila and how it's the most pathetically unjust ejection in BBUK history. This show is a shoddily produced ****ing shambles and if the ratings reflect that then it's poetic justice as far as I'm concerned.
:clap2:
Although, TBH I don't want 13 weeks for civilian BB either. I mean like with the current state of the show imagine if BB15/16 were on for an extra 3 weeks or 4 in BB16's case. I always found them to be a drag during the C4 days anyway, and the state of the show was much better back then than it is now. Having said that, If they had to I'd take a 13 week BB if it meant we didn't have a summer CBB attatched. Also, 5 week CBB in January is too long IMO.
I'd like it to be a 4 week CBB in January-early Feb and a 10/11 Week BB in June-mid August. Rinse and repeat each year.

The last time it was actually considered "hot" here in London was on like 2 July
It's been a **** summer, this year. So the weather isn't to blame for the low TV viewership. Not to mention it's September and raining.
It was hot here in early august for like 3-5 days. Where are you? I just ment hot as in for festival and raves etc etc lots things going on.

Its gained 500k viewers in 2 days.

Most days the plus 1 figures are released before midday.
When you posted your figure minutes later I found the +1 a little digging on twitter or Digital Spy will provide you with that figure.
Fair enough if it comes to like 2pm and no +1 is released its just confusing the thread when different figures are being posted and its quite depressing to see such low live figures.
We have allways waited for the plus 1 to be released before posting Salv come on get back in the game this thread needs you lol.
Not bad :) hopefully it can continue to climb. These figures should hopefully mean that officials will be good for the weekend just gone.

Sorry guys, I am still here. I always lurk here, but because everytime I go off the site, I need to keep logging in to post, so usually I read a lot during the day. Haven't abandoned ship, I swear :)
1.62m is better, much better than what we were seeing in the weekend, but hope it could be reaching 1.8m by Friday but doubtful. I don't think it will go any higher personally.
Summing up:
Launch- 2.22m
Friday- 1.55m
Saturday- 910k
Sunday- 1.17m
Monday- 1.59m
Tuesday- 1.62m
I think with the +1, this series should be easier than regular BB to get them. When BB airs at 10pm, DS hardly ever releases the +1, but with CBB being on at 9pm, the +1 should always be provided unless there is a problem with the article on Digital Spy. The article gets posted on there between 11am-midday, so between that is the time where the +1 should be available.

Better than what it was but still not good, civilian seasons hit these kind of figures sometimes. It should really be higher...
The civilian series kills all the momentum that the celeb series creates. I don't even bother with the civilian series anymore myself.
For me, they should ditch normal BB and extend both the celeb BBs. That's the only way BB will become a bigger success in regards to the ratings. Perhaps if they ditch normal BB they'll also have more money to be able to bring in better celebs and not have a house full of Z listers.

I don't mind the Z listers if they are entertaining enough. Note how the more known ones (Gail, Sherrie) have been on screen less than the more unknowns (Austin, Farrah).
Ok so bit of a tumble - 1.4m with +1. I haven't seen the without figure yet.

04-09-2015, 02:28 PM
The fact that even time bomb had bigger ratings than some of these CBB episodes is quite frankly worrying. Particularly considering how much has been spent on the celebrity housemates compared with civilian. Perhaps to save money CBB summer should be ditched and perhaps regular BB extended? Or neither at all, having a short BB and regular winter CBB!
Jason.
04-09-2015, 03:01 PM
They're not lower than any of the Timebomb ratings are they? Timebomb averaged 1.3m. This series is looking like it will average around 1.8m
But they are lower than BB14's ratings, which is still quite bad.
Will.
04-09-2015, 03:03 PM
no, I think TimeBomb got some 1.4's with the legends going back.
But CBB16 has been getting higher in the week, last nights is probs 1.5 with +1.

Any ratings for the live feed?

04-09-2015, 03:13 PM
It's always been the case that the summer CBB ratings depends on the Civilian BB ratings that it follows. Like CBB12 is the highest rated summer CBB and also followed the highest rated C5 BB.
Atm it's looking like this series is the lowest rated summer CBB and has also followed the lowest rated C5 BB, if that makes sense.
crazycolaist
04-09-2015, 03:17 PM
I would rather the producers spend the summer money on winters CBB anywayz. Atleast £3million more could be spent on making 1 decent series lasting 4 weeks.

04-09-2015, 03:54 PM
Celebrity Big Brother - 1.34m (6.6%), +1 - 170k (1.2%)

04-09-2015, 04:03 PM

BBC 2 - 1.5 (same as BB)
ITV - 1.8M
BBC One - 4M (who do you think you are?)
Pete.
04-09-2015, 04:06 PM

Every channel doing poorly bar BBCOne
I dot think 1.5m is that bad to be honest. It's not like it's disgracing itself all tat much. I noticed next weeks Friday eviction is up against the new series of Gogglebox though. That's going to cause issues.

05-09-2015, 11:23 AM

05-09-2015, 11:57 AM
So this weeks ratings -
Thursday - 2.22M
Friday - 1.55M
Saturday - 910K
Sunday - 1.17M
Monday - 1.6M
Tuesday - 1.62M
Wednesday - 1.4M
Thursday - 1.52M
Friday - 1.7M (presumably)
This series is currently averaging 1.52 overnight. (400k up on BB16 first week, and 350k down on CBB14)
CBB14 ratings:
Monday - 2.36M
Tuesday - 1.75M
Wednesday - 1.95M
Thursday - 1.84M
Friday - 1.99M
Saturday - 1.69M ( X Factor hadn't started yet)
Sunday - 1.9M
Monday - 1.65M
Tuesday - 1.7M
Jason.
05-09-2015, 12:05 PM
Be interesting to see what this weekend rates given last weekend rated abysmally. I'm going to Mexico later so I'm going to miss the whole 2nd week.
Jake.
05-09-2015, 12:06 PM
Well it's still a massive increase from the ratings 5's been getting over the past month
Jason.
05-09-2015, 12:07 PM
Wow the CBB16 ratings look so low when compared to CBB14's 1.8/1.9m
Will.
05-09-2015, 12:08 PM
yeah CBB14 rated well in the first week, but once other competitor shows began it went down to 1.6.
Will.
05-09-2015, 12:11 PM
by this time in the year CBB14 averaged 1.6-7 overnight in the final weeks:
week 3: 1.68M
Week 4: 1.7M
Jason.
05-09-2015, 12:11 PM
CBB14 - 1.87m
CBB16 - 1.52m
So 1.9m and 1.5m rounded. That is a big decrease tbh.
Will.
05-09-2015, 12:12 PM
CBB14 - 1.87m
CBB16 - 1.52m
So 1.9m and 1.5m rounded. That is a big decrease tbh.
well yes, but that was the only the first week, it decreased to 1.6-7 after week 2.
Where as I think CBB16 will stay at 1.6, because we've not lost the big characters.
Will.
05-09-2015, 12:14 PM
CBB14 actually got 2M on the first week, MON-FRIDAY, no weekend ratings.
So if we took the first 5 ratings for CBB16, not including weekends then it looks like this:
week 1 CBB14 - 2M
week 2 CBB16 - 1.7M
both rounded.
Jason.
05-09-2015, 12:16 PM
I was about to mention that.
Week 1 for CBB14 was Mon-Fri not Mon-Tue.
Will.
05-09-2015, 12:17 PM
I was about to mention that.
Week 1 for CBB14 was Mon-Fri not Mon-Tue.
yeah there difficult to compare due to the different launch dates.
CBB14 first week has a much better advantage because of no weekends ratings.
Jason.
05-09-2015, 12:19 PM
Actually the CBB14 first weekend rated really well and was actually up on the other series (CBB12, I presume) according to BBspy.
Sat - 1.7m
Sun - 1.9m
So I think it would've been higher had the weekends been counted in the first week.
Jason.
05-09-2015, 12:21 PM
Had the weekend counted in the first week of CBB14 then the first week would've averaged 2.24m instead of 1.98m.
Will.
05-09-2015, 12:21 PM
yeah, the weekends are quite high.
But then XF hadn't launched then, so it's best to compare the weekends around week 3.
once XF launched, CBB14 was getting 1.2 for Saturdays.
Will.
05-09-2015, 12:23 PM
I think 1.1-2 for tonight.
Jason.
05-09-2015, 12:24 PM
True.
I think C5 making the gap 6 weeks was a massive mistake tbh. I genuinely think had it launched 3 weeks earlier around the 6th of August, then it would've rated slightly better. This summer's schedule for BB has been crap tbh. Launching BB16 on 12 May after the election, massive gap, launching CBB late in August.
Hopefully next year they actually get a Calendar.
Will.
05-09-2015, 12:27 PM
Yeah scheduling has been messed up, it launched too late and now XF and SCD have started.
Mid August would have been better.
XF would probably fall really low tonight with SCD.
tbh they should just axe Saturdays shows.
Will.
05-09-2015, 12:30 PM
In terms of series quality, this series deserves great ratings, should be up there with CBB12.
This series feels very CBB10 IMO, but more of an event.
Jason.
05-09-2015, 12:33 PM
I agree. It would get the ratings it deserves if they scrapped summer CBB and decided to do UK vs. USA in January instead. Not to mention the plummet in quality of the recent civilian series which has no doubt tarnished the Big Brother brand even more :inamood:

Channel 5 know how to make a good CBB.
Jason.
05-09-2015, 12:37 PM
Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if the tacky Launch/Day 2 made people turn off
Probably. But it was better than that Dutchess crap we had in CBB14. I also think the lack of big names didn't help as well. I mean we all know one factor as to why CBB15 rated well was because of the two Katie's being in there.
Also, BB16 being crap didn't help either. I wouldn't be surprised if people just tuned out of BB for the whole summer due to that alone. My sister did that last year, with BB15 and CBB14.
Will.
05-09-2015, 12:40 PM
This will sound odd,
but a lot of people I know, who only watch CBB, watched CBB14 but didn't watch CBB15. kind of strange really.

At work, I always hear the students and teachers talking about January CBB but never BB or summer CBB. I remember the Wednesday that CBB15 launched a girl in my class was telling another girl that KH was rumoured to go in tonight. I remember starting work when CBB13 was on and people were talking about that episode where Jasmine went in the house again via the clock and Lee Ryan's eviction.

I remember starting work when CBB13 was on and people were talking about that episode where Jasmine went in the house again via the clock and Lee Ryan's eviction. Things like that.
yeah, in January everyone started sending stupid emails to all the students.
It all started when someone asked whats their thoughts of the music builiding being refurbished were (Which was a serious email).
And then everyone started sending silly emails, like I've lost my button, my pen lid has gone missing.
And I remember a few people sent emails saying get KH out of the house.

For some reason I have a feeling that BB17 will be good.
I have a feeling they will scrap the themes for next year since they have all sucked bar Secrets and Lies, plus they did that survey asking if people liked them and I can't imagine anyone saying they liked Timebomb/Power Trip.
So if anything they will probably do a Secrets and Lies v2 (Then again they never listen to surveys so what I'm saying is useless)
Will.

Yeah I think CBB17 could be ok.

Yeah, but then they went ahead and had a theme for CBB16 afterwards. I like to think they will the drop the themes but now they're even being used for CBB as well which doesn't give me much hope tbh.
They just need to scrap the twists and have a major twist once or twice every series like halfway through. Not silly little twists every week which just looks messy, and a really good cast so they provide all the drama themselves instead of manufactured drama from the producers and constant twists to make it entertaining. Basically BB13
I have a feeling that CBB17 might be a bit lacklustre compared to the past two January series. I really hope I'm wrong and they do surprise us sometimes.
Anyway 1.7m is good as far as I'm concerned.
Jason.
05-09-2015, 12:51 PM
I don't have high hopes for CBB17 either tbh.
TBF I don't really have high hopes for BB at all anymore given what we've had for the last 2 years :worry:
I always know when ever C5 do something good, they will muck it up afterwards. They did that with BB14 to BB15. And with CBB13 to CBB15.
Let's give credit where it's due though - this series has really worked so far. I don't think the ratings it's currently getting are going to mean any desperate tricks like the 4in 4out twist.

We have more LF, natural drama and I actually really liked the Launch Night (Apart from the tacky start and end).

Yeah, I mean this series is only rating badly because of lack of interest not because it's a bad series.
I mean low ratings don't always mean bad series. Look at CBB3 (my fave CBB series) which averaged 4.3m which was lower than any other C4 series at the time. That was still considered a good series in general even then despite rating lower than the 4.6m C4 were used to.

Honestly if BB17 is crap. I'm not even going to bother with the civilian version again. It's no longer the show I once loved back in 2004.
Same. We've had two diabolical civilian series. A third crap one will make me switch off completely. There's only so many chances these producers can get...

I'm liking this series so far, and the task this week was very 'C4', apart from when the task went to the whole tacky housemates having a fake interview being asked negative questions while other housemates watch thing. The task team need to be more creative and stop defaulting to the usual negative questions and answers thing. They did it for every single task for BB16, just dressed up differently each time. Just have normal ****ing tasks, ones that will create tension and drama themselves because they involve teamwork... also bring back overnight tasks like the C4 days.
The editing is still a mess in places too, especially the VT at the start, and also the way Marcus says the warnings.
It's a shame this show after two years of being able to improve and work from the hype of BB14 cannot balance being modern and sticking to the routes of the show. Stop with the tackiness.

1.04m incl +1 last night. Expected. It was 130k up on last Saturday and around 200k down on what last summer Saturdays were getting.
Tonight I predict 1.5m.
Still no news on the +1 from Friday, but it should be between 1.60m-1.65m, if it was above 1.62m it would have been the highest since launch.

It got 1.31m incl +1 last night :( Despite the poor overnights, the BARB officials for the first 4 shows have been released, and they look quite impressive. They are adding 400k-500k on average which is far better than the 200k average BB16 was.
Saturday's +1 rating is not there, so it's a Saturday excl +1 rating. In brackets are what the overnights were.
Launch- 2.66m (2.22m)
Friday- 2.03m (1.55m)
Saturday- 1.34m excl +1 (910k). I think it was around 1.40m incl
Sunday- 1.71m (1.17m)
1.94m average for the first 4 episodes.
Impressive timeshifts there, especially for the Sunday which I expected barely 1.5m official, but it timeshifted 540k! So if these timeshifts carry on then we could expect quite a few 1.9m-2.0m judging by the ratings overnights we have seen the past week. For example, last nights poor rating of 1.31m would be something along the lines of 1.8-1.9m

*mazedsalv**
07-09-2015, 05:58 PM
Confirmed that the official for Saturday with +1 was 1.42m.
So:
Launch- 2.66m. Up 440k on the overnight of 2.22m.
Friday- 2.03m. Up 480k on the overnight of 1.55m.
Saturday- 1.42m. Up 510k on the overnight of 910k.
Sunday- 1.71m. Up 540k on the overnight of 1.17m.
Increased in timeshift everyday. However don't expect to see over half a million timeshifts for the rest as I'm guessing those extra recording numbers were because it was Bank Holiday weekend. I'm going to expect ~400k increases on average which would bring the show to around a 1.8m official.
1.32m excl +1 (6.5%) for last night. Still waiting on +1.

Yep, 1.53m incl +1. One of the "higher" ratings of the series. One of the most inconsistent series in terms of ratings, I guess there is a lot of floater viewers where they go up by 300k, then drop by 400k the next day. But if the officials add as much as the first 4 days did, this series could average closer to 2m than we thought.
Here's a complete summary:
Launch- 2.22m
Friday- 1.55m
Saturday- 910k
Sunday- 1.17m
Monday- 1.59m
Tuesday- 1.62m
Wednesday- 1.39m

Has the ratings been good or bad for this series?
Generally bad. It seems to be around 250k down on last summer which was already the lowest CBB ever. But the officials for the first 4 days have saved it from looking embarrassing. So, if they continue to add as much as they did, the series may average 1.9m or possibly at a push 2.0m (but Saturdays will ruin it and stop it from doing that).
Last summer officially averaged 2.1m. So if it does get 2.0m it would be very good considering how bad the overnights are doing sometimes. But I predict it to be in the 1.8m range officially.

The Friday's eviction got 1.60m with +1 as I put in the summary above. Evictions add less than usual on +1, both Daniels and Chris' evictions added 110k on +1, whereas most of the shows this series have been added 150-180k on average. And last night, the highest of the series at 205k.
Pretty sure the half an hour of Live Feed on Friday on C5 got 365k. But we are never told the 5* ones.

Complete summary:
Launch- 2.22m
Friday- 1.55m
Saturday- 910k

Saturday- 940k
Sunday- 1.55m
So last night lead to the 3rd Sunday increase in a row despite more competition. I can only think that tonight should be in the 1.6-1.7m region.

This close to the final is a great time for the ratings to rise surely? People will want to see it out to the end won't they?
Possibly but I think it will still settle between ~1.5m.
The good thing is that by this point, going onto the final week, last summer had dropped a little to an average of 1.7m, so it's much closer now.
The CBB14 week by week average in overnights were 2.0m, 1.8m, 1.7m and 1.7m.
For CBB16, so far it's been 1.5m, 1.4m and 1.5m (mid week). So the first week in terms of overnights CBB16 was half a million down on CBB14, and now the 3rd week so far is 200k down on CBB14 and closing the gap more.
With officials the gap shows it's getting closer 200k down on last summer. If the series continues the ~1.6m type overnights, we could actually surprisingly hit 2m official (the current average is 1.91m). However Saturday is damaging it, if we exclude the Saturday, the officials will already be averaging 2m.

Still riding on the higher side. Ratings like this will lead to a closer to 2m official. Last summer got 2.1m officially, at the start of the series, people expected to get 1.6-1.7m, the reason it has recovered quite significantly is interesting.
Last summer, the series average was falling as of this point, this year, the series average is rising as time goes on.

Take out the Saturdays (and there have only been two which have been officials), the series would be averaging 2m as of this moment (currently it's 1.91m). You only need a 1.95m average to be classified as a 2m average when the show ends.

Wednesday 9th- 1.94m (1.53m)
Thursday 10th- 2.09m (1.67m)
Friday 11th- 1.85m (1.45m)
Sat 12th- 1.40m excl +1 (940,000)
Sunday 13th- 2.02m (1.55m)
Week average (despite Sat not having +1)= 1.87m
Series average so far from the 18 days of officials- 1.89m inc +1 (even though two Saturdays are missing).
Looks like it will be 1.8m-1.9m average as next week the officials for Mon-Thursday will be high because those days did well, but the weekend will knock it down again.

Chatty Man only gets 1m? Thought it got more viewers than that. How much viewers does the graham norton show generally get?
Well to be fair CM is on C4. Graham Norton usually gets between 3.3-4.0m and a nice chunk of audience share.
I really don't feel concerned about the ratings for this series at all. Officially they're doing absolutely fine.
Will.

It dropped to 1.3M last night,
But Sundays have been brilliant this year.
And plus ratings normally fall during the final few days.
But overall the officials are decent.

Still surprised, i don't really look into viewing figures so i'm oblivious to what anything gets and what is good and what isn't. But if you were to ask me what each show received prior to your above post i'd have likely have said around 3m for CM and around 6m for Norton.
Taking the above into consideration re CM (an award winning show), 1.5m or so for BB isn't all that bad, is it? Seems pretty decent, particularly as it's on 5.
1.52m +1. Nice climb. Hopefully should rise towards the final now.

So what did BOTS get?
Thought it was a massive deal as I was in LA yesterday and saw it on TMZ?
Good jump for thye highlights last night we never usualy see a 400k jump in the final days its allways been lower even in the early years. This years ratings have been so unpredictable even though we have seen some of the lowest it somehow seems different as the series has been a critical and fan success and the officials reflect that.
I think this is the first summer series where we all agree its been very ****ing good tv.
Btw Will I was at Fox and seen Scream Queens getting the editing treatment....ITS GONNA BE A VERY GOOD SEASON!!!! Oh and was lucky enough to go on the new American Horror Story set and that's amazing to! Lady gagas bed.......Just wait for it :p

I think BOTS got 450k excl +1. Glad to have you back make, have fun in the US?
As for Scream Queens, looked at the ratings for them and it didn't do well at all. I think FOX are disappointed in the result.

Thought I'd use the Wikipedia ratings table to do an overnights summary for CBB16.
So here are all the overnights for this series with the overnight weekly averages and the overnight series average which is 1.5m.
http://i.snag.gy/j8BgS.jpg
The officials for the first 2 weeks have been released and they're 1.97m and 1.83m with a 1.9m average. So I think it's safe to say CBB16 will average around 1.9m/2.0 officially. If it does get 2.0m, that's not far off CBB14, last year. Which is good.

Look it was a great series but you cannot call those ratings "good" last summers CBB rated badly aswell so to say this could match those ratings doesn't make it good.
What did the final get with +1 then anyone know?

Officials will be in later for Mon 14th-Sun 20th. The Mon 14th was the return of Jarrah which got 1.83m in overnights so that surely should be a ~2.2m type figure.
Then next Monday we will know the last 4 days (Monday-Thursday final) and will be finally given the official average.
*mazedsalv**
28-09-2015, 12:39 PM
Officials with +1. Saturdays does not have it's +1 available. Brackets were the overnights
Monday 14th- 2.28m (1.83m)
Tuesday 15th- 1.99m (1.65m)
Weds 16th- 2.01m (1.63m)
Thurs 17th- 2.02m (1.60m)
Friday 18th- 1.77m (1.30m) *against opening ceremony/rugby match
Sat 19th- 1.24m (820,000)
Sun 20th- 1.68m (1.25m)
Week average- 1.86m.
The weekend damaged the show quite a bit.
With only 4 days of officials left to go is 1.88m.
The 4 shows remaining shows will have it stay in the 1.9m area. So it is pretty clear this series is averaging 1.9m. With the double eviction and final getting 1.74m overnights, that should be at least 2.1m, so it shouldn't be going under 1.9m (1.84m or under).

I didn't say/mean the actual ratings themselves were good :suspect:
I said if it manages to get the same or close to last years summer series that's good i.e not bad, considering it averages 2m. Also CBB14 didn't rate that badly at all (well for a summer CBB anyway). Granted, it was the lowest rated CBB at the time. Summer CBB's with the exception of CBB8 (which was the shows re-launch, so ofc that was going to rate higher) have all rated low. CBB14 averaged 2.1m whilst CBB10 and 12 both got 2.3m and 2.2m respectively. So 2.1m isn't that big of a drop at all. Let's face it any summer CBB series which gets at least 2m is fine. It's a fact that the summer ones always rate considerably lower than the January ones anyway.

Well this series is going to average 1.9m, 200k down on last summer. It's not great, but when we looked at the first week, we all expected it to be a really bad drop (around 600k or so), but the officials have helped it.
So far with 4 days to go, 1.88m is the average (with 3 Sat +1 figures missing). I predict an average of 1.90m bang on.

Yeah, I always knew this series would average around 1.9m. It's followed the same pattern all the other summer CBB's have - around half a million more than the civilian series they followed averaged.
Not good ratings, but tbh good ratings don't always mean a good series and I hope C5 take that into account. Like BB13 averaged the same as BB12 and BB15 (two awful series did), but that doesn't stop it being the best Civvy BB series on C5 (well imo anyway). It was the same on C4 with series like CBB3 and BB6 which rated well for C4, but didn't rate extremely high. Both those series followed BB5 which averaged 5.1m and then you had those two which rated 4.3m and 4.6m respectively - but that doesn't mean they were bad series. Same goes with CBB9 which averaged 2.6m for a Jan CBB.
I'm just rambling on, but you get my point
As far as channel 5 will be concerned, the series did well. Over 2m is nothing to dismiss as bad.

But it hasn't averaged over 2 million.
Its averaged the same as BB14 maybe slightly less.
It has been a brilliant series though and is still dominating all online media.

Lol yeah, I know. I made that post last week before the officials came through today. I doubt those final 5 days will make much of a difference to the overall average.

Yeah it's a sham it's the lowest ever, but I think it was expected. I think it did good to close the gal though. As you said, it's not great, but in the first week of overnights, we were all saying FLOP, this will be down from last summer by over half a million etc... it did well to not haemorrhage viewers like some series.

We have the final 4 officials of the series! All include +1
Monday 21st- 1.86m
Tuesday 22nd- 2.08m
Weds 23rd- 1.73m
Thursday 24th (FINAL)- 2.05m
Odd just like CBB15, the final being lower than a couple of days before.
The official series average of CBB16 is 1.88m. Rounded to 1.9m. Same as BB14, 200k down on last summer.

It's not good, BUT it's not as awful as we expected it to be after that first weekend of overnights we got. I thought it would match BB16. 1.9m is poor for CBB but good for C5.
I think it will still come back in the summer because looking at BARB, all 7 shows of the week took up the Top 10 of the week every week so... I think the ratings needed to match BB16 in order for C5 to say "OK, we won't have it on in the summer". But I still hope it's only on winter.
