Thanks, always spell it wrong.

7m? Gosh, I didn't expect huge ratings but that's lower than I thought it would be. :joker:

I'm sure you knew what he was saying. It really is quite disrespectful when someone enters a thread and then their only actual contribution is to correct the OP's spelling.

the +1 ratings are up, that's something eh? :umm2:

It's a good rating in terms of TV but For X Factor thats terrible, a 2 million lost is huge.

AND strictly hasn't even started yet.

It's like CBB16 launching with 200k.

Last years launched with 9M

Will.
30-08-2015, 12:37 PM
I bet Simon isn't a happy bunny ATM,

it normally has a lost of 1-2M after launch, so we're looking at this series getting high 5M-6M throughout the series.

Hardly surprising its been on for too many years - it goes on for way too many wks and its well boring

true, but a 2M lost is huge - it would't be a big deal if it was like 500k but 2M.

last night was the first series I've ever watched, I normally just watch live shows but I found it quite good.

Xtra Factor only got 500k, not as high as BOTS.

Xtra Factor only got 700k, not as high as BOTS.

I never understood how BOTS gets higher than Xtra Factor when the main show ratings are still only a fraction of those of XF

Well it's not because CBB and X Factor have different audience figures

yeah not to sure, it ways seem like loads are watching Xtrrfactor, it actually only got 500k.

I've never watched it I don't think.

oh yeah you're right!

2M for X Factor is about 600k for CBB,

so it's like CBB16 launching with about 1.6M.

It was actually one of the best opening episodes TXF has had also so that's a shame. I never watch Xtra Factor I find it tedious and pointless tbh

I know, I really enjoyed it tbh, It got heavily promoted so it's strange, people just don't want to watch anymore I guess.

yeah probably not I guess, but now it's launched it will be hard for it to gain ratings.

Next week would have been better.

Well it's not as bad as it sounds.

Last year the share was 40.9%, this year 35.9%. So in real terms it's not huge, the equivalent of losing 400k.

Just less people watchng TV.

Ew if they bring Louis back, I'd rather it be axed

Samuel.

People are just tiring of the show. It's not surprising.

I can't imagine strictly doing much better this year have you seen that harrowingly tragic excuse of a lineup?

BIB: Basically the point of this thread.

TV viewership is down year-on-year now really, with only a few exceptions like Bake Off managing to go over 9/10 million in overnights so I think y'all are being a bit dramatic

The share isn't bad either

Ross.

not really, 2M is a huge lost tbh.

not really, 2M is a huge lost tbh.

The figure itself is a loss, but the share is brilliant for the time. I keep arguing this in other places but not everyone watches TV live anymore. They'd rather catch up in their own time which means the figures are all down.

Ross.

Not when the share loss is only 5%, they can't earn another 2 million viewers when there isn't enough people watching television at the time.

The last person to have a decent career out of it was Rylan tbh, it's irrelevant

 Honestly this thread is giving me BB10 Ratings Thread teas.

You make it sound like there's a massive ratings crisis for X Factor. In 2012, it launched with 8.1m, which was 3m down on the previous year, which launched with like 11m. So it's not the biggest loss. Not to mention TV viewership is down overall this year. The share is good.

Yeah it normally goes down a little on episode 2, then shoots back up on episode 3..

Changed all the bits that they shouldn't have changed and did nothing about all the things they should have changed years ago

oh ok, I never really watched the XF properly so don't know much about the ratings, so 7M is decent then.
