Four Filipino sisters who stole the show when The X Factor returned tonight looked like nervous amateurs – but *viewers will be surprised to learn they are pro singers.

And show producers who drafted in the slick girl band Fourth Power knew all about their professional background in the Far East.

All contestants are supposed be wannabe beginners but these girls are seasoned performers who have been on TV and even *released records available to buy on Amazon.

Tonight the group won a standing ovation from the new judging panel of Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw.

Cowell admitted at an event to launch the show that he had *congratulated producers on finding the girls, saying they did “a great job”.

The band had told producers about their long experience before being invited to perform for the judges.

well yes it was quite obvious they didn't pay for five £1k+ plane tickets on the hope of just getting through to bootcamp

I don't really care, since when has it been a rule that acts can't have done music 'professionally'? I'd rather have talented people scouted than **** people on there just to be famous.

Even though they are 'pro' singers elsewhere, they are a far cry from being 'pros' in the industry over here. So they suit this competition well as there is a lot of room for improvement.

Plus if they're going on the show they obviously need it to fast forward their careers, not really anything to be 'fixed', if they were that good then they wouldn't need X Factor and already be a worldwide sensation.

I'd rather have experienced people auditioning than the 'normal' people destined to flop

Anyone can release music on Amazon so it's not like they're established stars already. Raign had her music featured on CW shoes like Vampire Diaries but that doesn't make her established either.

Just another attempt to stir up controversy.

This is such a non-story.

Didn't X Factor say years ago that they started to let professionals/signed artists audition for the show?

If only 4th Power was actually talented.
