Following the frustratingly slow drip-feed that revealed the celebrity participants, we now get to see all 15 squeezed into their sparkling finery for the first time. This is when they find out who’s going to be their professional partner. Will Anton Du Beke be paired with a nimble-footed youngster for once? Is it time Brendan Cole had a winner in his arms again? Who will be lucky enough to dance with smouldering newbie Gleb Savchenko?

It’s always fun spotting the pros trying to disguise their disappointment when they realise they’ve been lumbered with someone who has two left feet (in previous years everyone knew Gregg Wallace, Tony Jacklin and Johnny Ball were destined for an early departure). Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will doubtless gloss over any awkward moments.
