Oh also as we're on the subject of characters who may still be alive, what about Heath? did we ever see his body either?
Niamh.

But how would he know where to go now? TWD started off in Atlanta and Alexandria / The Kingdom etc. are all in or around Washington DC, which is something like 600 miles away (the huge journey they undertook when they all became Zombie-killing ninjas and nearly starved).
I don't know, that's a minor complication and this is The walking Dead :hehe:

He wasn't on the bridge (that we saw) and also the campervan he was in with Tara was gone, she saw the tire tracks leading away, so I'd say he's missing presumed still alive... but he didn't go back to Alexandria. I guess either by choice or because he was captured by another group along the way? I'd guess he'll either show up again at some point with another group, OR he'll simply never be mentioned again :joker:. Seems like a situation where the actor had to leave the show but they don't want to permanently close the door . His departure was a bit random.

Ahh, see, I knew those scenes played out in a way that suggested it was more about the actor than the writing. That explains it then.

Yeah Corey Hawkins apparently wanted out to do that and film the new Kong.
Although there is talk online that he is getting Holly's death from the comics and the saviours return him to Alexandria with a sack over his head and a lead character pulls it off and Heath attacks them zombified.

Rosita has been in the most episodes this season
i think Rosita was supposed to go in to get Negan but they switched it with Sasha now that Sonequa is doing that new show.
It's just a bit odd that all of a sudden Sasha has a story arc

I hated the Governor at the time but I can appreciate him now. I mean I hated him for the right reasons because he was a baddie but he was a believable one, he was nice to his followers and he looked after them so you could see why they followed him and believed in him

Yeah, with the governor most of his followers didn't even know half the **** he was doing, he handpicked the more "bloodthirsty" people to be his sort of private army but most of the people in the town had no idea until the end, e.g. Tara was right by his side until he decapitated Hershel, that was when she realised who he was. Another big difference was that he did actually seem to care about his people, too. In his mind he really was trying to do right by them, he was just traumatised and twisted.
Negan is just a straight up murderous sociopath who seems to get off on it, and quite clearly doesn't value anyone at all. Everyone is disposable. Even with his soldiers, there are only a couple who I buy as actually WANTING to follow him, like the long haired one on the Kingdom run or the leader of the group that visits Hilltop. The rest would have risen up and taken him out ages before now .

Yeah exactly, you would have to say that most of Negans "followers" probably don't like him or fear him and could easily over throw him and the couple of "loyal equally blood thirsty" ones he has

I think a lot of his followers will turn on him in the end and The Sanctuary will probably still exist when it's all over, with someone else in charge, but it's not like they're a new group and it would have happened long before now...
I mean his "top people" do seem to be able to have whatever they want... Video games, ice cream, etc. BUT the vast majority of the people look dirty / have poor living conditions. Much worse than Kingdom / Hilltop / Alexandria... So it's not like they'd be in it for the comfort?

They do but he still stole that one guys wife and burned half his head and threw the doctor into the furnace and those would have been "top guys", all his other top guys most be thinking that could easily be them if they make a wrong move.
Sasha dies next week. Negan gives her 4 options: attempt to kill him, kill herself, get eaten by a walker or join The Saviours. She chooses to join The Saviours, but asks Eugene for a weapon. He assumes she wants to kill herself so he gives her a poison pill 1 when actually she wanted to kill Negan.

I've seen a lot of peoole saying the episode was great apart from the Rosita and Sasha road trip to kill Negan but for me that was easily my favourite part. I still love them both especially Rosita - one of my main annoyances sometimes with the show has been how quickly people get over deaths, yeah it is part of that world but imo seeing someone you love brutally killed would disturb the crap out of you.
Maggie has seen her Dad decapitated, her little sister with her brains blown out and her lover have his brain smashed in and she she's not even a bit messed up? Carl saw his mum die and cut a baby out of her and he's not a little disturbed? The only people who I think have been shown truly greiving have been Daryl (for Merle) Carol (for Sophia) and Rosita (for Abraham). I know death effects people differently but cmon!

Andrea's grief for Amy lasted the longest in the show I think. It lasted the rest of season one after Amy died all the way until the end of season 2.
But timeline wise in the show that was only like 20 days.

Nah it has to have been much longer than that, it was (at the very least) long enough for Carl to recover from a near-fatal gunshot wound to the stomach, which would have taken months...

Amy died on Day 62 of the outbreak.
The group flee the farm on Day 82 of the outbreak.
Season 2 ends on Day 83 of the outbreak.
So 21 days between Amy's death and the end of season 2.

The show are really messy when it comes to wounds. Carl, Hershel and Carol have all recovered from severe injuries over a matter of days in the show.
Which contradicts the fact they're having Rosita shot in the season finale so she can disappear for the first half of season 8 whilst Christian Serratos goes on maternity leave :omgno:
The whole Sasha thing feels exactly like the situation Andrea was in this time 4 years ago.

Ugh I actually hate Rick and co's mentality that they're the good guys when they just raided a completely innocent, off-the-radar group and stole their weapons for no reason, and tried to make them join a fight that they're not a part of. Oceanside are now completely defenseless from walkers or group attacks, how stupid it is taking ALL their weapons. Rick is no different from Negan in that respect.
I really like the character Cyndie though  I hope this isn't the last we see of her/Oceanside.

It was all a bit... aggressive from the outset and a touch unrealistic. It would have been more in character for them to try harder to convince them first...
On the other hand I don't think them taking the guns is all that problematic. It's been shown time after time that people don't need guns to deal with walkers; in fact I always find it ridiculous at this point when they waste ammo on them. Although ammo seems to be in curiously abundant supply . As for human attacks, the only group they're really at risk from is The Saviours, who they have already said they don't want to fight... ... and if they did show up and they started shooting, their village would most likely be wiped out, so it's probably a GOOD thing they don't have guns in that respect.

Sasha </3
Good episode, it felt a little slow to begin with and frankly as much as the Abe/Sasha scenes were cute they should have just had the one scene it would have been much more powerful and poignant but the last 25 or so minutes were fantastic. Shiva getting some kills was amazing and I am glad all the main cast are back together again, I think the dhow is at it's strongest when everyone is together. :flutter:
I hope Negan dies soon, he's not even scary or threatening at all just annoying and quite tiring to watch for me, he's not turned out as great as he was in the comics at all. I'd hate them to try and give him a redemption arc.
The Kingdom and Hilltop showing up <3

Meh the episode was very anti climactic for me, I agree with Amy, they wasted way too much time on them Abraham/Sasha dream scenes and Negan didn't even die ffs. Also, one thing that bugged me, how did Shiva know which people to attack and which not to? He doesn't know Carl, he could have just as easily bitten his face off

Ha i thought that about shiva. Also found it anti climatic.I thought the whole ep would be the final battle against the saviours like we had against the Governor. Was prepared for an epic episode of battle.
It went downhill for me when the explosive didn't go off.I thought the first line of saviours was going up in smoke with Negan and his crew behind to see it and then all out war with hordes of saviours storming Alexandria.
Now it looks like season 8 is going to be loads of small skirmishes and we have to wait until the end for the final battle.
Unless of course the battle is early in the series and they move on to a new setting after.

i loved the episode, but i already knew Sasha was going to die :(, so funny that scene of Zombie Sasha and Negan, but another saviour sacrificing himself to save Negan
and the junkyard clan, well i Always thought they would turn out to be traitors, and Dwight a spy for Negan at Rick's camp during that episode
i think i'd rather be with the saviors then the alexandrians, element of surprise is now gone for Rick's team, and what a army Negan has got, i bet season 8 will have a few more casualties on rick's side

To have an "All-Out War" in just one episode would be silly tbh. I'm glad they've left it for season 8 as it gives us something to look forward to. There's too much going on atm to just wrap everything up in under an hour.

They should have a half season long war, that would be pretty epic.
But yeah... We also mentioned the Tiger. How does it know which people to attack? :joker:. They should just have made it that it attacks Walkers on sight but knows not to harm people (maybe unless specifically told to attack by Ezekiel, like an attack dog would be).
