Yeah the editing is **** for my favs but I'm not finding anything else boring or awful. I'm on episode 10 atm. The Brandon meltdown was the moment of the season, I'm gutted he's out so early because I love him.

I think some might like him, but i think he definitely has much more haters than likers. Same could be said about Philip tbh.

Creepy, weird and crazy are usual words that i have seen thrown when his the subject.

I think the pressure was too much to him. His family want him to be different (A devious and cutthroat player, willing to do anything to win) than what he himself wants to be. (Honest and straight shooting player)

One can´t deny the fact that he is a legendary survivor contestant, sadly it´s at least partly for the wrong reasons.

Everyone has some type of fanbase even Brandon apparently but after Caramoan most fans despise the guy. I feel bad for him though because there is definitely something wrong with him and the Survivor producers knew this and they brought him back anyways and the whole world got to see how crazy he actually is.

One things for sure, i don´t think Survivor is the right place for him, since it´s clear at this point that he can´t handle the pressure and the stress involved. He also has many unresolved issues in terms of everything. That´s why it might be best that he is never brought back again.

I did enjoy this season as it was so unpredictable. Brandon's meltdown and outburst at Philip was one of the moments of the season. Philip was hilarious with assigning names to people and the boston rob rules alliance <3 The sprint award :fist: Brenda was robbed.

You're right that I'm forgetting about some of those things, but probably because they didn't really happen. Gota's easily a contender for the most bland, tepid, and boring tribe ever (Allie AND Hope AND Matt AND Julia AND Michael, like I just listed literally 50% of the tribe), Shamar was only around for four episodes and it's definitely worth mentioning that his inclusion on the show was insanely irresponsible of casting, any sort of "craziness" on Bikal wasn't compelling (or nonexistent) because it centered around people like Brandon (another incredibly irresponsible casting choice) and Phillip and Corinne, etc. You can't polish a turd, ya know?

Amazing season tbf and I like the idea of players being in the game with their love ones. Fantastic cast other than Coltonm, I loved when Jeff dragged him. Tyson winning was alright with me but preferred Monica in that final 3. Mess at the reunion show though putting all the players on the stage this time unlike Caramoan's one.

On my list Candice and Ciera would be lower, Ciera at near the bottom with her Mama, Candice at the bottom half. Tyson would be at the top and Hayden, Gervase and Kat would be higher and Monica would be a little higher.

I just really don't get the point of Spencer. I think he's ridiculously dull and not stimulating whatsoever, even in spite of how much airtime he gets for god knows what reason. He just makes generic "strategy" confessionals such as "If Tony is paranoid that his alliance will backstab him and as a result I survive one more round, that's good for me game!" and like... yes, of course it is? Like, not only is that a ****ing obvious statement, but his delivery is often so bland too.

Are we supposed to like Spencer for being a supposed diabolical super mastermind, even though he never accomplishes anything and just makes states the obvious in monotone confessionals? Are we supposed to like him for being a heroic scrappy underdog, even though he's ALWAYS at the bottom of the totem pole and never wields any power and is so quick to condescend other people for not playing the game and having zero chance of winning? Are we supposed to like him for being (the dread S-word) A True Superfan, even though he was miserable the entire time and didn't seem to be having any fun? I don't get it, but I'd love for someone to explain it to me.

I didn't think i would like Tony but he's actually hilarious :joker: he's entertaining and a good player. Chaos Kass side is the better side of Kass. I like Trish too i think she's 6th in my rankings atm.

Okay I personally like him because he is the underdog in his tribe at the beginning and he becomes the underdog with Tasha during the merge. I also found him socially inept which made him getting through tribal councils more enjoyable - The reason he isn't my absolute favourite during his series is he could become pretty cocky as you said and i agree.

Amazing season, so many blindsides and a great cast. Sarah's blindside tribal council is one of my favourite tribal councils i have seen. I did not expect to like Tony but i grew to love him, He is hilarious at times especially when he makes those noises. Underdog Spencer <3 he was great to watch imo he can be cocky but to me he's likeable as well. I have not seen a survivor I fully enjoyed since Micronesia(would have said Heroes Vs Villians if i watched them in order)

The whole brain tribe well Tasha,Kass and Spencer were underdogs really, they had a terrible start and looked unlikely to win/get far.. but then things changed.. but Spencer had the more he won't win/get far etc from watching the reunion show. Underdog actually means a competitor thought to have little chance of winning a fight or contest..Which was Spencer. He didn't win but made the final 4 which nobody expected at first.

His constant airtime was tedious but I still enjoyed him as a character. Plus he got an extremely different edit to what most winners get so I appreciated that

I'm still not really sure how I feel about Tony tbh. He's certainly not as bad as Russell Hantz, and it was different to see someone with that type of edit win (at least at the time, since Mike's edit in Worlds Apart was nearly identical), but holy **** how overbearing it all was. Part of the reason why I think Cagayan is so ****ing overrated is because the post-merge is just the Tony and Spencer show and :yuk: no thank you. I hate that someone who played the game like a nutjob sociopath ended up winning because now that kind of behavior is synonymous with being a deserving winner (:rolleyes:) and we're supposed to excuse a lot of gross **** people do since it's part of The Game.

Neleh was actually on RHAP recently and while I love that she and John are both still trying to weasel their way back into a second season, it was really disappointing to hear Neleh drink the BIG MOVES Kool-Aid since it's **** like that that's really ruining the show in its current state. And while I don't think Tony is responsible for it completely, him being a part of Survivor canon really doesn't help.

oh boy you have a lot of catching up to do even though you've almost caught up with the episodes.

Parvati is, like, the one woman that Probst gives credit to besides Sandra (who every Survivor fan begrudgingly accepts as A Good Player after HvV <33333) but it's all part of his warped narrative that she's some evil temptress seductress who lured men in with her breasts and whatnot. Sure Parvati is a flirty person (nearly all of her interactions are flirtatious, both with men and women), but to box her in as someone who only won by being an irresistible siren is a HUGE disservice to her game and the many other skills she has. This all boils down to Probst's PTSD from one Halloween where some hot girl tricked him into giving her all his candy when he was a preteen or something. It's why Cagayan ended up with BEAUTY as a tribe, as if that's somehow on par with brains and brawn.

As for SJDS, I'll put this in spoilers but it's mainly about the winner so if you already know who it is you can open it:
Probst hyped this season up as having an UNCONVENTIONAL WINNER or something absurd even though Natalie was just like all other recent winners except for the fact that she's a brown woman.

ln general I wouldn't says SJDS is overrated because in most places it's kinda **** on by a lot of people. So in that respect I think its kinda underrated. But as much as I personally enjoyed it its overrated here because its not a top 5 season.

yeah in the grand scheme of things SJDS is definitely underrated. Probst threw it under the bus HARD leading up to the premiere so a lot of people went into it expecting it to be terrible. I think a lot of casuals didn't know what to do since there wasn't a long-haired golden boy or an overbearing alpha male who found multiple HIIs. I'll go into it more when LukeB reaches the merge bc I don't want to spoil things.

Cagayan is sooooo overrated imo. It definitely benefits from being in the right place at the right time, but jeez what a dip in quality after President Sarah is assassinated. The next four episodes have nothing of note happen during them - just Tony and Spencer strategizing and talking about HIIs. Not to mention the Tyler Perry Idol, the particularly poor Brice boot episode, and other things.

I prefer Cagayan to San Juan Del Sur personally because if I'm not gripped during the pre merge I'll find it harder to get into the season and undoubtedly Cagayan has a better pre-merge.
