I couldn't watch series 6, i literally only found the odd episode :fist: . Can't find any torrents for it either that's trusted and safe i give up :inamood: , even though i still don't want to skip to series 7 .

So instead i watched the first series of the Junior apprentice on YT:joker: . But even the other series of the junior one isn't available either .

Week 4 was actually okay. It's refreshing to have candidate success celebrated and a lack of terrible puns from LS.

Also, Jenna and Laura's battle of the accent in the boardrooms was kind of iconic :love:

Series 8 has gotten better. It looked a bit bleak at the start and although by no means has it flourished Series 5 style, Weeks 5 and 6 are both pretty fun.

Also, what I like about this stage is that it's kind of divided into Heroes and Villains (even though the heroes are a bit unmemorable, and the 'villain's' are for the most part, dull af). To clarify, Nick, Gabrielle, Ricky and Jenna are the heroes. Laura's also a pretty iconic bitch. Adam losing in Week 6 was pretty satisfying: it's just a shame he didn't go and Katie did.

The thing is, the Laura/Jenna/Gabrielle triple hit is imminent, and that just killed the series. Series 8, whilst it was never gonna be a top tier series, really went to **** in the second half, and it's all due to the firing order.

Saira's an all-time top 5 candidate. Series 1 for me is gripping TV, but most seem to prefer Series 2 and 3 - classic series for different reasons. I'm sure you'll love them on a first watch.

I'm up to Week 8 of Series 8 but still haven't done my Series 7 review so here goes.

Series 7
I'd say this is more of a 'story' season like Series 5 and to an extent 3 than a character/moment series like Series 4 or 6. The cast is...hard to weigh up. Like the final six is pretty stunning, but overall the Series 7 cast is comparable to Series 2's: a bit heavy on the dull/unlikeable people (I'm looking at Alex/Gavin/Leon/Zoe/Helen). Weeks 1 and 2 really are dross. Nothing of note happens. It's probably the worst first two episodes a series, tying with Series 5 maybe? Just like in Series 5 though, the likeable characters do start to emerge in Weeks 3/4. Whilst Susan emerges as a loveable underdog, and Vincent and Zoe emerge as terrible people. And so the series progresses tbh. This series is all about character development tbh.

Week 6 is an all-time great tbh. Between the completely original task, Susan slaying, Zoe ****ing up so terribly, and the Melody/Natasha catfights, I can comfortably identify this as my peak of Series 7. Week 7 is really good too, with Susan fighting back against her horrid team :love:

Week 9 is good for the Zoe and Melody catfight, and the terrible BixMix roleplay. Week 10 is fun if only for Helen's coup. Melody's downfall arc is pretty epic too. I must say though, even though the Final 4 were an exceptionally strong, diverse bunch, the prize change just didn't work here. There was too great a disparity between candidates' task performance, meaning the Tom win was a bit of a disappointment. It's nice to have someone break the usual winner mould though.

Overall though, Series 7 is pretty middle tier. Some great characters, like Susan, Tom, Melody, Natasha, but it is a bit bleak in places and takes a loooong time to get going. Also, the end result is poor.

I'm not gonna rank them on hireability anymore as it's too complex with the business plans.

Tom: Great winner, but not for his task performance. He's just a bit mad really. He was a reliable candidate throguhout but a bit safe, but he has a great personality.
Helen: So boring. And she was a lowkey bitch at times? Like to Susan in Week 4 when Zoe was having a go and to Glenn in Week 5.
Susie: Susie :love: A sweet girl who was misunderstood in the process. She really did grow which was nice, and she really should have won tbh. It was good that she scalped Zoe/Jim/Glenn in Weeks 6 and 7. And she had some righteous confessionals about Zoe :clap1:
Jim: I'm not a great fan tbh. Some love him as a character. I find him a smug dick. He was a cock to Susie in Week 7.
Natasha: Love her. A crazy, passive agressive mess :love:
Melody: Only love her because of how lacking in self-awareness she is. She's a nightmare, but she's a fun, watchable nightmare.
Zoe: Legitimately terrible. Like an all-time worst candidate. She did fall off a horse before Series 7 so idk if she had brain damage or something but the way she conducted herself thoughout the series was appaling. She was terrible to Susie in Week 6 and such a bitch to Melody in Week 9.
Leon: I find Leon a bit of a smug prick like Jim tbh.
Glenn: Glenn is nice but a bit dull. He's also a bit thick? :worry: Like he was always in Jim's shadow.
Edna: I like Edna. She should have gotten more airtime.
Vincent: Bit of a prick. I would though.
Ellie: Ellie is a bit moany, but I do appreciate her scalping Felicity and Vincent.
Felicity: Dull, and Ellie snatched her.
Gavin: Dull.
Alex: Bit messy, would have liked to have seen more of him.
Edward: VERY messy, but a perfect Week 1 boot.

Also, Series 8 is categorically the worst of the first 8, but I think I literally may prefer it to the post-Series 10 era? The show is just so annoying these days in how poorly it's edited and marketed, and the wtf James/Sarah final is a perfect example of this.

Series 8

So basically, Series 8 isn't awful. TA doesn't have any 'awful' series. It's just totally half-baked. It has all the good ingredients for a series. Loveable characters to root for, villains, some minor story arcs, but everyone and everything is so... slight compared to your normal Apprentice series :laugh:

The first few weeks really are quite drab. Like Weeks 1 and 2 have their moments... like Bilyana's self-firing, the zoo fiasco, one million orders, Maria sleeping... But you can tell right from the very start that the crop isn't up to par.

It does get better when you start rooting for/against people. Nick/Gabrielle are always early favourites, and Adam and Stephen makes themselves known as bellends from just about the start.

Weeks 5 and 6 are actually quite good episodes as I said. The teams are basically Heroes vs Villains, and Jenna winning as PM and Adam losing is pretty great :love:

Weeks 7 and 8 are pretty dull... like Jade's messy PM attempt is great, and the Week 8 task is unique, but there's nothing much going on here.

Weeks 9 and 10 are a decent two episode punch IMO. Despite the TRAGIC firings of Jenna and Gabrielle (I mean who am I kidding Jenna never had any chance), Week 9 is actually fairly entertaining with Jade scalping Adam the 'choreographer', and Jenna's horrible advert. Also, Stephen becoming more slimy in the boardroom, and putting himself up as PM only to fail terribly in Week 10 as Jade rises like a Phoenix is probably the most gripping storyline of the series. Stephen's villain arc is good ngl, it's just such a shame Gabrielle went too.

The Final Five of Series 8 is just so...odd. Like Jade really begins to shine as the interviews approach, and I love her, Ricky and Nick are decent too, but they are all so...dull compared to your usual finalists, and Tom is legimimately the most boring person to make the final ever, and Adam is a cock.

Jade slaying Adam in Week 11 is a great ending to the Jade/Adam storyline (one of S8's many 'storylines' that actually amounts to very little excitement).

But yeah, Series 8 is watchable, and I'd argue has a better ending than Series 7. Adam and Stephen's demises are satisfying, and I really like Ricky as a winner, but it's just all so lowkey compared to usual series.

I really must commend Series 8 for the candidate caliber though, and as I said, it's nice that we actually have strong feelings about the finalists (not Tom lol), unlike some more recent series.

Ricky: I really like Ricky as a winner. He has a great storyline. He really flourishes, and he actually is a good guy, as evidenced by him snatching Stephen's weave.
Tom: Honestly wtf. I cannot believe someone as boring got to the final. I'm also surprised the board never brought up how lifeless he was? Literally dead behind the eyes. He even managed to make getting drunk on a task and mincing his words mind-numbingly boring.
Nick: I loved Nick back in the day, but he's actually another pretty dull one. And yeah, him saying Jade should get fired pissed me off.
Jade: Formerly pudgy queen :love: She's just good fun really, and such a positive influence in the series. So down-to-earth, and likeable. She like Ricky has a good redemption arc, after her disastrous Week 7 PM stint.
Adam: Legitimate cock. The signs were there with him telling Katie to be careful about PM as it was 'very complicated', and he was just a prick to Jade for much of the series. I don't like how his firing is made out to be a sad affair? I rejoice every time.
Stephen: The true villain of S8. He's just so...odd. And he was a right slimy snake in the boardroom.
Gabrielle: Like Nick, Gabby hasn't held up quite as well all these years later. I think Jade's superior now. She's just a wee bitty dull! Despite her craziness when she was brought into the boardroom.She is a really unique candidate and I love her for that :love:
Jenna: She's just a mess who's totally out of her depth adn I think that's why I love her? Remember being gutted when she was fired back in 2012.
Laura: An iconic bitch.
Azhar: Like Tom, tediously dull. idk how he was chosen.
Katie: Don't really rate her as a person or candidate.
Duane: Don't care for him.
Jane: A great Week 4 boot. She's a massive bitch, but her being fired so early is still quite crazy.

The opening sequence of Series 9 is honestly so triumphant. We are greeted with a beautiful new series premier soundtrack, glossy new London shots, a plethora of shots which fill you with hope for how good the season is going to be when the most shocking thing in last series' intro was Jade smashing a bowl, and then you have Alex arriving from Cardiff on a gondola.

You are then greeted with this group of bloody weirdos outside the boardroom, soundtracked with a very eerie re-working of the 'waiting outside the boardroom' theme.

Honestly, this series is amazing from the first second.

A pretty good season compared to 2 imo. Never thought Katie Hopkins would ever be my favourite in something but she was hilarious and likeable on the apprentice than she is now. The editing this series felt a bit weird compared to others as i said before, it wasn't balanced out fairly since one team got way more air time than the other. I did like Tre but during the finale him sulking like a child because Simon didn't go for his idea annoyed me.

The first 3 episodes are so iconic ugh :love:. The girls team are flawless - The constant drama <3.

Jaz is THE best first boot in TA :love: Such a messy character and I wish Sophie got fired over her since she's the only flop female this series. But lol there's no way Jaz was ever not getting fired. She was a complete disaster of a PM :love:. Her fighting with the subteam in boardroom was hilarious.

Alex and Zee (and lowkey Neil) are seriously awful. I remember liking Neil when I first watched but he's just annoying. The only males I like are Jason and Tim, Jordan is.. alright but Myles and Kurt are pointless.

I don't remember loving Uzma when I first watched but omg she's probably my favourite atm? She's hilarious and her drama with Rebecca, Luisa and Natalie is :love:

I cba with the last 2 eps of S10, but oveall it's an incredibly strong series. It's aged extremely well, I think I was initially too harsh on it bc it followed 9, but the group of candidates is one of the most varied, well-balanced and interesting of any series, and similar to S9, it was kind of refreshing for the show as it had a lot of 'firsts', but none overly contrived/gimmicky.

I absolutely despised Week 2 of Series 12 when it first aired. I thought it was a joke, an abomination of the show. But omg I just re-watched it for the first time and I ****ing loved it.

Although the actual campaigns weren't memorably bad, the episode was littered with both small and large moments of hilarity: Natalie's misunderstanding of the term 'strapline', Karren saying that the use of 'Shake It Off' as the soundtrack to the girl's bathroom ad was unfortunate, Jess falling apart, Karthik's rampage. Also, the losers' cafe sessions, and the boardroom were both pretty iconic.

I hated that both teams lost when it first aired, but actually, having both teams lose for ****ty results is way more fun to watch when it happens in Week 2 than when it happens two weeks before the final (I'm looking at you Series 11).

Really liked the “Create a Toy” task. How simple it is really fascinated me.

The male team are obviously the superior ones. Besides the little brush-up they had with Matthew not listening and contributing, the male team really cooperated well with each other and they deserved the win. Though IMHO their product was OK, there was really nothing special about it.

The female team was destined to fail the moment where they split up into two different groups (Adele, Miranda and Saira), (Lindsay, Miriam and Rachel). That doesn’t show teamwork at all, and with all six of them failing to make a decision as soon as possible, and with Lindsay being the project manager was their doom. Had they chosen the Robot over “Secret Signals”, I think they would have narrowly beat the boys.

Lindsay deserved to go, she was bossy and she didn’t want to listen to anybody’s opinions apart from herself...

Plus I’m really excited for the team swap next episode! :)

Michelle winning feels so random :skull: I felt she was a tad unstable at times and didn't seem very competent in alot of the tasks, especially compared to Ruth.

I'm just glad none of the men (minus Ansell) won though, they were all despicable people although I must admit they did bring the drama more than the women, which is unusual for an RTV show!

On to Season 3! :love: (might take a short break though so I don't go overkill too fast)

Mess why am I reading that after the show Michelle quit the job Sir Alan gave her because she got pregnant with Syed's baby and then lost it during a miscarriage :skull:

They way they eerily alluded to her personal problems during the interviews but never really stated what was up with her was pretty weird too, and now hearing what happened post-show makes the situation even weirder :eyes:
