Aye, there will be no flight to Turkey booked from me, however it isn't a bad idea for the Spooks to know who is booking those flights.

They need to stop spying on innocent people. If they have reason to believe an individual poses a risk to themselves or others, then fair enough. But otherwise, they need to mind their own business!

Exactly and I would neither believe or trust a word this Home Secretary says anyway, never known a bigger waste of space than her.
they could be selective in who they targeted however, racial profiling is frowned upon so they can't do that.
We haven't had a major terrorist incident in the UK for years, I just don't see why extra snooping is needed. If we get hit by something, then by all means they can review it and vote on it again, but until then, they should moth ball the whole thing.

It honestly doesn't bother me one bit. They can't possibly be checking everyone's search history all the time so there may be flags for certain searches which is fine by me if it helps keep people safe. Hoping it discourages some people from illegal activities such as child pornography etc...and obviously grooming / terrorist activities

I don't like this, its an attack on are freedoms and democracy, the government and the intelligence agencies are up to something, it goes far deeper than fighting terrorism, whats next we tell each other to watch are backs.
I couldn't care less.
Nothings private anymore anyway for most when we have whole generations thinking it's the 'in' thing to do plastering every aspect of their lives all over social media and other websites.

i don't care.
If google is already doing it, why shouldn't the police? at least the police might catch some criminals.

eggggsactly. and Facebook/google/twitter are already doing it, so why shouldn't the police have the same information? at least the police will do some good with it. google and twitter just use it to make more money.
