View Full Version : Two of the bland 4 delivered a good performance finally.

I feel disgusted at myself for this but I actually liked Lauren and Louisa's performances this week.

4th Impact I wanted to like, but they're just smack bang average, and the wailing from the one girl needs to stop.

And Che did the most bland and cliched performance of the whole night, seriously he needs to do something soon otherwise his gonna go down as the bore of the series.

An Olly Murs Tribute Act is bland in my eyes.

Lauren is one of my faves, and to be honest was the best performance of the night, by a country mile. She knows how to sing properly. Some of them sing but don't understand what they are singing about, Lauren sings and knows how to deliver the message which is what good singers do.

Che was horrific tonight why were they praising him like this? Baffled. That song is meant to be sung with power and emotion, not through your nose with a high pitched sound. Totally lost all his chances of winning right there and dare I say it might even end up bottom 3.

What a bizarre comparison

Why is it though? Have they showed off any vocal talent? No, are they a joke act? Surprisingly no, do they use Pop dance routines to cover up for their lack of talent or natural stage presence that every other type of singer has to bring? Yes.

4th are and were brilliant. It was really hard for them to go and do an energetic 'in tune' performance when Selina was feeling poorly. I stood up and clapped last night from my living room when they finished. If I am completely honest and I like all three girls in the girls category I thought Monica was better than the other two when I watched it back this morning

The only bland one out of those 4 is Che I hope he`s a shock elimination. The other 3 are the only reasons keeping me interested this series.

A band of four Mariahs and Whitneys would not work, you don't have to be the best signers to be successful as shown by Spice Girls and Girls Aloud (no shade because they all work well together)

Well as I'm not a massive fan of either Spice Girls or Girls Aloud I don't want their kind being on the show, especially when we're suppose to be watching them sing live for 7 weeks and they can't hold a note and then you've got these, Che, Lauren, and Louisa wiping out the different and potentially more interesting acts all because they're not an X Factor cliche to it's very core.

Well they both use the same gimmicks so why not compare them?

I am, apart from 4th Impact's shouty vocal what is different about their performances? They use the same arrangements as Olly and Fleur did I don't get how people don't notice this.

Get with the times nobody wants to see boring ballad singers churning out hits from the 80s if you can't do a Adele leave the ballads alone

And clearly not many people want to watch non joke acts with no personality or performance skill whatsoever having to rely on Simon's bank account to come off as even remotely interesting hence the ratings drop since that **** has creeped in.

So to reply to the beginning of your post I am with the times that people want to hear interesting singers of all sorts of sounds like Louise Adams, Jess & Matt, Matt McAndrew, Christina Grimmie etc, but are you witn the times with generic 4th Impact, and yes your standard balladeers like Louisa, Lauren, and Che being frontrunners?
