From Anton's Metro column
I wasn’t going to let anyone suggest or insinuate that I am fake and unreal and that I am acting for the cameras. You can’t act for those cameras, they are on you 24/7. There is no acting, there is no getting away from them so I did take offence.
The other judges are different because they understood.
At least Simon has developed hundreds of acts through the show and Cheryl is a singer and performer, and of course Rita is the same.
And they didn’t say those things because they know what it takes to stand on that stage. It’s okay to play music on the radio and know lots of pop stars but actually standing there, until you do that… stop talking about it and do it and let me sit where you are and I’ll judge you.
I am not going to allow anyone to bully me.

yeah I don't want to see Grimmy return next year.
Get Louie or Sharon Osbourne.
And I loved Jess Glyne to replace Rita.

Yep Nick has been terrible as expected, it's only him I want axed.. never thought I would say this but Louis needs to come back. I do think Nick is trying to be Louis as well to please the public.

Nick is the second best male judge they've had, apart from him calling Anton fake, he's been surprisingly great, keep him, get rid of Cheryl and bring Dannii back and the panel will be perfect.

Louie,Sharon or Danni can replace Nick actually, Simon would be stupid not to axe Nick. He is awful and useless. Rita for me has been the best judge this year.

Yeah that would be good!
I'd prefer Rita to stay but I know that Cheryl won't go away.
Cheryl definitely needs a break from the show.

Bitter bitter sore loser. Delighted he is gone. I am not a huge fan of Nick but he is entitled to his opinion and he was commenting on the emotive element of the song etc rather than the VOCAL Anton can crawl back under whatever rock he came out from

Nick obviously isn't returning next year - the ratings have gone backwards since his appointment and Simon will be quick to blame him for the decline. Simon will probably bring back Louis (which wouldn't be a bad thing) and may keep Rita, though it wouldn't surprise me if she goes as well. He'll either drop Caroline as co-host (similar to Khloe Kardashian on the US version) which will be a shame to see or try his best to bring back Dermot. Either way, big changes will be made yet again next year with at least one judge losing a chair for Louis.

I can see Olly being axed instead of Caroline, she'd be far better on her own and she's a lot more professional imo. I've not noticed any mistakes from her in the live shows, she seems more focused and on point presenting live.
Olly needs to present something smaller and he needs to focus on improving, presenting just isn't for him.

Nick and his pathetic crush on the dead behind the eyes mason and his bitchy attack on anton have let him down. Nick has no discernible talent so will always be untrusted.

I'm indef tbh because I feel the acts are so much better this year than last years, everyone was meh/boring/no star quality a part from Fleur as she had the whole package. The judges last years were awful, The judges this year seem more happy/better

Wasn't Grimmy signing one of the reasons why Rita signed? If that is true then they were truly desperate. Both have been terrible but Rita can stay as she's a bit more relevant, Grimmy has no right to be on the panel.

If Grimmy had no music knowledge he wouldn't be on the radio. The radio is definitely MUCH more than just playing a song lmfao
Nick is the worst judge they've ever had.

Louis desperately needs to come back next year. Cheryl's expendable to me and I'd rather swap her for Sharon again but she'll be staying no doubt.
Louis and Dermot back and the show is saved. I think the former is almost a given, but hopefully Simon works overtime to try and convince Dermot to return.
Nick is the second best male judge they've had
:umm2: :joker: why are all of your opinions so bloody awful omfg
Are you serious hahahaha

That's not technically true. There are plenty of people who work in speech radio who have no reason to have any extensive musical knowledge and as such don't, and indeed, those who work in music radio but don't host a specialist show and have no control over the stuff they play because it's all from the playlist don't really need that much knowledge either. Radio for the most part is about the links between songs, not the music itself (unless that's what the show is about).
However this doesn't apply to Grimmy as he used to host a specialist show. It's not his lack of/abundance of musical knowledge I care about, it's the fact he has been completely uninteresting as a judge. He's just 'meh'. Considering he replaced one of, if not the most iconic X Factor judge there has been just because Simon thought he'd pull in younger viewers (which he's failed to do), he's been spectacularly bad. Judges on this show need to be one thing, and that's entertaining. That's what this show is about. It doesn't matter how much knowledge or how equipped you are to judge talent, so long as you're entertaining as a judge that's all that matters. And Grimmy isn't.

I disagree that Dermot needs to come back as people won't take back tracking seriously they need a experienced host who knows what there doing.
I'd give it to Davina or Ferne

She didn't have to, it was her choice.. she wasn't hold hostage to be the judge. It would have annoyed them yes but getting another judge wouldn't be hard. Nicole wasn't a perm judge until boot camp.

Bitter much? Whether people like it or not he's a DJ on one of the biggest radio stations in the UK so he's entitled to judge whatever 'stars' are next to come from this show. He knows Anton wouldn't be relevant or have a pop career after the show and he didn't lie.

It depends on the contract. I'm not sure the average contract to stock shelves in Tesco will be as iron tight as a contract to front one of the biggest shows on UK TV

I can't see any way they could force her to do it if she didn't want to though. I mean, if she was really that bothered she could claim illness or something if it came to that. Could get away with it recently too..poor girl. Can tell shes not well.

FFS I thought this was about cheryl as I hadnt read the first page and have seen rumours that cheryl didnt want to do the show this year
Still stands though, they cannot MAKE her work on the show as soon as she decides she doesn't want to. She would have to give up her fee though.

I have not seen this rumour  I'm quite shocked if this is true because she looks really happy this year as she looked miserable and bitchy last year.
I thought any judge could speak to the boss whatever about how they are feeling and come to a mutual agreement. That year they had guest judges so i don't think it would have been hard to find another replacement.
