James Arthur could sing, there's a difference between having a bad personality and disliking his Music to then call him a bad vocalist.

And tbh Hayden at least Ben did at least sing live tonight, what did Fleur do again? Oh yes mimed.:joker:

Simon humiliated both just as he wanted, I don't get why Leona agreed to it as she had to hold her voice back too much, and Ben was never gonna keep up with her and Simon knew that.

I never liked Ben on TXF but I do feel kinda bad for him, especially with that girl laughing in that Youtube video in a really spiteful manner that he failed to hit the note, who takes so much pleasure in that when it can kill his reputation and career? You don't have to like somebody's Music to feel empathy for someone when that happens.

Also my Mom seems gutted about how his performance has gone down which has probably made me feel bad as well.

I agree with Mock about James Arthur. It's clear that he's a massive twat but there's no denying he has a great voice. He was easily the best of his year in terms of vocals, maybe Ella Henderson coming close

I'm a huge Little Mix fan, probably the most vocal on here but they didn't 'destroy' Fleur at all, she and LM were amazing together and sang in harmony really well.

I don't like Ben, I just dislike the way Simon and some Fleur fans are ripping him apart despite actually singing live unlike their favourite where Simon gives her everything including miming and her fans say nothing, even 1D sang live tonight and they're awful vocalists even on a good day so why couldn't Fleur sing live?

If anything after this weekend it validated me on my support for Lauren, Jack, OTY, and Andrea in their year as they never sounded like Ben did, and didn't mime like Fleur did.

This is why I never get winners on this show, they actually sing well live.

No having your voice come in when you've not even got the Microphone to your mouth is what I'm calling cheating.

And yes having a backing track that plays so loud that I can't hear the real vocal is imo a cheat and isn't really live.

Nope my ears are fine, it's just I can tell a pre-recorded vocal compared to a live one and it wasn't there.

Even the best of singers have Human flaws when they sing live, I know that I joke that Fleur is a Robot but I know that she isn't really unless that's what you're suggesting?:shocked:

MysteriousOz - I saw it and noticed she only "sings" about 50% of the song and the backing track was still very loud

ArtyAttack - Great performance but most of it was clearly mimed. I did enjoy watching it though

ageappropriate - The only part I found entertaining was working out which bits were mimed and which were sung live. Very poor from both of them

Only on TIBB where "sassy" and "fierce" females be allowed to mime and only a handful notice it.

I bet however if Ben or Leona had've mimed, or even worse Coldplay or Adele there would've been hell breaking loose on here.

I asked for an example of her miming during her duet, not a collection of other people's opinions from DS.

Whether she mimed or not three weeks ago on the One Show has no bearing on the performance from two days ago that we're discussing.

It's like me discussing the merits of Leona's vocals on Saturday by posting videos of her performing in the US three months ago. It's irrelevant.
