Not necessarily. It might just be to reduce people making ten minute videos or 60 seconds is what they recommend. I am fairly confident it won't make much of a difference.

In all honesty most applications are thrown out anyway and Housemates are found through scouting now. Bit unfair if you ask me but I don't work for Endemol.

I've heard but not sure how true that is. A lot of people said Mark Byron was scouted but I know he 100% wasn't and just auditioned via video.

My mums in 2013 was like 1:50Mins, and she still got call backs etc.

Although it was only 20 secs over the limit, but I'm sure if you impress them in the first 60 secs then you stand a chance of getting a call back.

Good luck Scream :D If your video is absolutely amazing and breath-taking, they might not mind it's longer. But on the other hand, they might look at the length and just bin it without looking.

Would you consider re-editing/re-shooting it so it's sixty seconds or fewer, and sending another form?

I'm pretty sure the eighteen thing means "18 as of the launch night". Why not apply anyway? The absolute worse thing that will happen is they will say "we would have taken you on."
