Watched the first four episodes last night and this morning. Richard, Wigglesworth and Colleen are my favoruites atm, I like Richard I think he's intruding and I'm excited to see more of him. Colleen and Wigglesworth are just soooo super fun and cute!!! <33 I also really like Jenna.

I'm liking the experimental feel to this season compared to Cambodia. The voting is much more simple and not strategic it's just about who's not pulling their weight, who's annoying then etc.

I'm glad BB went he was dreadful. Shame Ramona went she begun to pull her weight </3

Up to episode six. I'm proffering this season to Cambodia atm. Everyone gets equal and fair air time unlike Joe and Spencer being shoved down our throats in Cambodia. Kelly, Richard and Susan are my three favourites.

Finished Borneo. I wanted Kelly to win in the end. She became my favoruite after everyone turned on her because I really felt for her, plus she was a comp queen. I loved Sue throughout but I changed my mind on her during her final speech at tribal towards Kelly. It was actually uncomfortable to watch and she overstepped the mark way too far telling Kelly she would watch her die. It changed my opinion on her so she'll be in the orange once I get round to my rankings after watching the reunion.

Richard is a great result though my second favoruite from the season after Kelly. My top two being the actual top two rarely happens so it was a nice thing to see.

I looooove Borneo so much and it's probably my favorite series of reality TV. I'm sure that makes me sound like some deranged person who Was There for BBUK2 but Borneo's truly fantastic. The storytelling is just off the charts and everything is so literary and poetic. I'll touch more on Kelly, Colleen, and Sue because they're three people you highlighted and probably my three favorites in the cast. I'll put it in spoiler tags bc it might be long.

Kelly:
Her entire story is uh-mazing and she's probably THE most important in the cast, even though she never gets regarded as such. Like, yes, Richard Defined The Game and all that, but Borneo's entire development is best seen through Kelly's perspective. She's super young and still trying to figure out her moral compass. When the alliance started just on Tagi, she was all about it because she didn't give a **** about Dirk or Sean. But once the merge hits and Kelly is introduced to Pagong, a tribe full of people her age and more on her wavelength, her moral values really started to become questionable. She didn't mind the alliance back on Tagi when it was at the expense of people she didn't care about, but then when she had to vote out Pagong (the people who probably remind her of herself), she has a harder time coming to terms with it and views the alliance as amoral. Objectively speaking, her inconsistency in her morals is a huge character flaw but it's so Kelly.

So yeah, as Pagong is getting knocked out one by one, Kelly keeps going back and forth on how she feels about the whole thing. One episode she's down with it, the next she feels a genuine sense of conflict in voting out one of her friends. She becomes extremely conflicted about her part in the alliance and throws a stray vote in Jenna's elimination ("J for Jenna" is suuuuuch a fantastic episode omfg). It's an extremely passive and weak-willed form of resistance, which again is so true to Kelly's character. She hates being in the alliance and is willing to express that by voting for Sean instead of for Jenna, but at the same time she knows where her bread is buttered. As much as she hates the alliance, it's a huge benefit to her and she's too self-interested to completely go against Tagi.

As the show progresses, everyone's becoming more and more sick about Kelly's inconsistent morals and feeble attempts to please her conscience and the alliance that has consumed her life on the island. It's what ultimately led to the tragic falling out between her and Sue, and Richard was entirely sick of her as well. Her "friends" on Pagong were so cynical of her too, because as conflicted as she may have been, she did nothing to help them stay in the game. This leads Kelly being isolated by everyone and she becomes the island pariah. Tagi doesn't trust her for one bit but they continue to use her as a number, and the people she relates to the most on Pagong don't really like her that much. This leads to her almost getting voted out at F6 instead of Colleen. And then when Kelly makes it to the end and loses, we take her conflicted morals and weak-willed gameplay and conclude that that's how you lose Survivor. You need to be cutthroat and focused and have the ability to compartmentalize personal matters and game matters if you want to win, and that's exactly what Rich did.

Colleen:
You're absolutely right that despite being America's sweetheart she was a hugely sarcastic wench, but that's a huge part of her appeal to me <3 She's aloof yet endearing. She has zero tolerance for bull**** and is largely cynical about the whole Survivor experience, but is still very charming and adorable. She's the type of person that only works in the early 2000s, in that reality TV is new and fresh and not something for wannabe models and actors to do. She's the type of person who is largely cerebral and partook in the show to learn about herself and other people.

I also loooove her FTC performance, between calling out Richard's flawed social game and drunkenly voting for Kelly to win with the voting confessional "maybe this money will make you be... nice or something" <33333333

Sue:
Yes, rats and snakes was incredibly harsh, but it's the most iconic moment in Survivor history and the perfect ending for Sue's story. She presents herself as rough and tough and invulnerable, but it's all a shield for how vulnerable she actually is. The confessional where she breaks down and reveals that her best female friend from high school tragically died when Sue was in her late teens/early twenties puts everything into perspective, and it was effectively the turning point it her entire life. The brash and strong Sue that we see on Survivor is a byproduct of that tragedy, as she went from being a waitress/bartender to the owner of a hunting camp out int he wilderness away from everyone. She rid herself of her femininity and emotions because they're signs of weakness to her, and she closed herself off to others, to the point where she hasn't had a female friend since.

Enter Kelly, who Sue adores, which is something I don't think Kelly ever fully understood. Kelly is the first female friend that Sue had since the tragedy. Kelly was also 23 during Borneo, which is around the age that Sue's best friend had passed away. Sue opens up to Kelly in hopes of starting a friendship, but risks the possibility of being hurt again. She told us that she'll never **** Kelly over, no matter what, and she would've willingly lost the game to her. But in the biggest tragedy in Borneo, Sue's faithfulness to Kelly isn't rewarded. Kelly starts to slowly drift away and bond more closely with Pagong, but then Sue had enough when Kelly started voting away from the alliance. Kelly's leaving the rest of Tagi out to dry, and I don't doubt that it hurt Sue especially that the two times that Kelly voted differently were when Jenna and Colleen, two young females, were voted out.

That's how we got to the screaming match at F5 and everything after that. Sue/Kelly tie the vote against Rich/Rudy at F4, but then for whatever reason Kelly decided to switch her vote in the revote and send Sue packing. Sue finally let her guard down after however many years and finally opened herself up to others again, and it was all for nothing. She used her speech at FTC to unload on Kelly not just for the stuff that happened on the island, but moreso for everything in the last 15-20 years. All the pain, all the bitterness, all the grief, and all the hurt were thrown at Kelly, and the speech was fully intended to tear her down. But even then, I think Sue's more mad at herself. She's mad at herself for dropping all of her facades and allowing herself to become vulnerable and trusting of others again. She doesn't want to help anyone else, she doesn't want to invest her feelings into others, because it will surely end in heartbreak once again. It's the ultimate a beautiful tragedy.

okay I rambled way too much about Kelly and Sue but Borneo is just that good.

Now looking at what you said about Sues tragic life she had had I see an AWFUL lot were your coming from about how she was looking for a new best friend and put all her effort and game into Kelly but wasn't rewarded back. That was pretty eye opening and like I say an interesting read.

Watched the first two episodes of SJDS today. Val and Nadiya being the first two out </3 I was particularly upset Vel left so early I loved her and she'd had it hard from day one after being sent to Exile Island.

Her comment to Baylor at tribal made me scream.

I'm much preferring Jeremy in this season also than I did in Cambodia. He's actually one of my favoruites in the minute while I find him very so-so in Cambodia. While Kelley meanwhile hasn't made an impact on me as of yet but I loved her in Cambodia so it's interesting. I am liking most of the cast atm. Only ones I don't like are John Rocker and the gays (I DESPISE the gays).

Natalie I love from TAR. I love her so far on Survivor but she hasn't had much airtime so I hope this aspect improves.

Jaclyn I'm liking she has a lot of potential so far from what I've seen.

Yasss @ Drew being the first member of Hunahpu voted out. He was so god damn arrogant annoying, my least fave of the cast and I don't like his bossy brother Alec either. Hopefully he's out soon.

Surprisingly I like most of the cast tbh. Only ones I don't like are Josh, Reed, Drew, Alec and John Rocker and Dale is soooo meh, but two of those are out so far.

Julie quitting </3 trailmix gate was lowkey hilarious but I did feel sorry for her. She was being a bit pathetic about John being voted out because Jeremy, Natalie and Alec have all lost their loved ones but I did feel she was being a bit ostracised by the group. Sure she should've probably shared her trailmix with the others but I get her reasons for not doing so and I think some of them really acted like dicks about it and left her feeling alone.

Shame she quit because I actually rather liked her.

Jaclyn, Natalie, Jon and Baylor are my favourites at the moment though.

Finished SJDS. My favourite season out of the three I've watched, I loved it. I was thrilled Natalie won as she was easily the best strategic player out of the castaways and had orchestrated the blindsides of Alec and Jon as well as getting Keith out in the final four to get herself in F3.

Reeds jury speech about 'The Wicked Stepmother'. Was actually really nasty and bitter, I said this about Sue but at least Sue did have some sort of reasoning, Missy had done NOTHING to hurt Reed in any way shape or form. He's such a vile person.

Started Pearl Islands tonight. I thought I'd watch it because I've seen many say it's one of the best. Sandra is my favourite atm she's so sarcastic and dry it makes me chuckle, I too share a hate for Jonny Fairplay. Tijuana is my second favourite because she's basically a hot mess, her trying to steal the pot in the village was so hilarious 'You took my things, so I'm taking yours' and the dyke run after her :joker:

I started Heroes vs Villains earlier. It's given me hope for a good season so far, don't have any strong opinions on anybody as of yet. Amanda and Cirie are probably my favourites atm. Not keen on Boston Rob.

Five episodes in now. Not been too disappointed by any of the boots apart from Cirie :sad:, I also kind of liked Steph but she didn't stay long enough to leave that much of a lasting impression on me.

About halfway through now. Loved the last tribal and Courtney isn't getting enough screen time at all, her trolling Coach at tribal and calling him 'dad' and being sarcastic and flippant with Jeff was so amazing to watch.

Prefer the Heroes to the Villains as a whole tribe currently. Only really dislike JT from the Heroes.

Heroes vs Villains - Complete

While I did think this season was good, Russell got FAR too much airtime so I'd probably rank Borneo and SJDS above it atm. Still a good season though and I'd recommend to people, but like I say Russell was literally shoved down our throats from start to finish and even at the reunion Jeff basically directed every single question at him. America voting him as their favourite too :umm2:

Started Australia tonight, not an under or overwhelming first episode tbh but I'm liking most of the castaways so far. Kimmi is probably my favourite atm, but I know that Jerri is going to be iconic judging from what was said about her on Heroes vs Villains.

Jerri </3. I think the tribe treated her pretty shocking TBH, like I don't even get why she's regarded as such a HUGE villain. Like sure she was a wind up merchant and a bit of a moody bitch at times but did she actually do anything that wrong? Finished Australia. Probably my least favourite I've seen but it was still pretty good, the first half of the season was much better than the second though and the decline in quality of episodes was noticeable once Jerri left. Tina was a bit of a meh winner I mean I casually liked her but I didn't think she played an amazing game or anything, I was glad she won over Colby though because he would've been miles too predictable. I'd rank the other three I've seen above it but it's nit been a bad season at all, particularly the first half which was actually brilliant but it declined quite dramatically about halfway through.

Even though they go on to redeem themselves in later appearances, I found Tina and Colby to be really unlikable in Outback. Colby's just a moody brat who treated Jerri worse than she ever did (but whatever, it's Jerri), and then once she was voted out he redirected all of his moodiness at Keith for pretty much no reason at all and it was gross. As for Tina, eh. I get that a good amount of it was probably gameplay (or was it?), but I could do without the constantly moralizing about The Good People deserving to win. She deserved her win for sure, but it's hard to get behind her when her main strategy / character trait was using her sketchy morals to unite people against a common enemy.

Daniel, while you're at it you should watch all the other Pre-AS seasons except maybe Thailand. Africa is an underrated delight, Marquesas is perfectly enjoyable, and Amazon is easily the best season that nobody ever talks about as being a legitimate contender for the best.

Quite liked the premiere, not one of the best I've seen but it was still good. Dan, Crystal and Randy are probably my three favourites atm. Much prefer the Fang tribe to Kota atm but in fairness the Kota tribe haven't had much airtime.

Ep3 finished. Sugar has probably climbed up to being my favourite at this point but I still love Dan, Randy and Crystal. Moody Kelly seeking revenge on Ace and Jacquie who wronged her and it working <3 hope she sticks around. Liking most of the cast so far Ace/GC/Ken are the only one three what are annoying me.

What an AMAZING episode. Sugar trolling Randy over the cookies, Susie getting out the bath she paid $340 after what seemed five minutes and not using any products she had and Crystal screaming her vote so loud everyone could hear <3. Gabon is finished. Definitley my second favourite season I've seen so far after SJDS, it's a little bit slow to start off with but it definitley blossoms at the halfway mark. Bob is kind of a crap winner for me, I mean I didn't actively dislike him or anything but idk he just irritated me and he was incredibly self-righteous. Sugar was so close to winning, but oh my god she was TERRIBLE at answering the jury questions </3 such a shame. Corrine wow, what a nasty little bitch! Her speech wasn't even funny/ironic or nasty in an entertaining way like Snakes and Rats it made me feel dirty that she would speak ill of someone's dead father. Glad that Sugar finished in the top 2 of favourite player and was loved by the audience and meanwhile Corinne was booed throughout <3

Mess, I ditched Nicaragua :shame: I decided to start Africa instead and I prefer it already. Absolutely loved the premiere and the scandal over the tin of beans made me SCREAM. Kind of messy at Kenya being such a dangerous environment they have to stay awake at night and keep fences round them to keep wild animals away. Kim/Kelly/Teresa are my initial favourites. The quality in episodes has certainly decreased since Lindsey's departure. The pre merge was some of my favourite episodes ever but since it's been a bit of a drag and chore to watch. I don't really root for anybody in particular especially now Kelly has gone (her vote for Lex was AMAZING). Kim Powers is probably my favourite left now, I like T-Bird too. Can't stand Frank or Lex. Glad Brandon went.

Kim Johnson has coasted throughout, she's incredibly annoying and void of personality. Tom is just a bigoted mess and watching in 2001 it may have been acceptable but in 2016 I just can't stand him. Lex is BEYOND AWFUL and I can't even be bothered going into my dislike for him. I guess Ethan is the best of a bad bunch, but even he is meh at best.

Africa finished. Pre-merge of the season is fantastic and contains some of the best episodes I've watched so far, but omg post-merge was soooooo dull and bad. The episodes just centred around the reward challenges and the rewards/people conspiring to eliminate Lex and Tom but never going through with it. I guess Ethan deserved his win TBH I mean Kim J had done nothing all game but ride his coattails and she was incredibly tedious and annoying to watch. Kelly's vote was the best thing about the final.

Decided I'd go with One World next, I know it's held in poor regard but the idea of the twist intrigued me. First two episodes have actually been pretty good, Christina is definitley my favourite so far 'Because you're lying... SO SHUT UP!' (Monica is also a STAR). First tribal was a hoot and definitely one of my favourites ever. Nina going in second tribal though :sad: I loved her Kat drags as I really can't stand her. Kat and Alicia are my least faves at the moment and I don't particularly like Colton either.

One World is finished. Definitley my least favourite season I've seen so far by quite some way, on paper it should be amazing with the twist and female domination but it just felt really flat and Kim sort of sucked up all the airtime despite being super boring. She played a good game and probably deserves her win but omg she was so bland and annoying.

The cast also this season was REALLY unlikeable.

I think that's why I couldn't take to her, it's not only that it's the fact she took up so much airtime just going on and on about gameplay and saying 'hmmm... I might do this at tribal and change the game!' but you just knew she wouldn't go through with it.

I wish someone had made the move to take her out when Alicia got immunity, actually idk Alicia might've won so maybe not.

Started Pearl Islands again, Idek why I gave up first time round watching. The premiere was fantastic and I loved the market bit especially. Sandra, Tijuana and Rupert are my early favourites. Savage is just as awful as he was in Cambodia so far (lol who even voted that back?). Poor Nicole literally changing her fate with a sentence :laugh2:

About halfway through now, finished watching episode six last night. Fairplay is literally AWFUL, makes my skin crawl when he's on screen. Sandra is still my favourite but I've found a new love for Darrah too, Sandra/T/Darrah/Rupert are definitley my top four at this moment in time. Welp @ Drake losing all the immunity challenges after throwing the fourth one to get rid of Burton.

:o @ the last two episodes, omg so much has happened.

Ruperts blindside was needed, I'd grown tired of his ways by the end but I still really like him because he was a star for the majority of the series. His arrogance and beliefs of how he shouldn't be voted off really began to get under my skin though.

Poor Christa being blamed for the fish being thrown in the jungle, lmao. I love her quirkiness and her alliance with Sandra, Sandra actually being the one to dump the fish and her screaming at Jon back at camp was great :love:

CAH THE DEAD GRANDMA LIE, Jon is such a despibacle human being but he is providing entertainment.

Definitely two of the best episodes I've ever seen so far of Survivor.

Pearl Islands finished. I think this is a great season but I still prefer SJDS, Gabon and Bornoe. However, having said that, it was great from start to finish. It took me longer to finish it for some reason but every episode was gripping. I wanted both Lill and Sandra to win :sad: shame they couldn't have two winners this season cos I love both of them so much.
