I much preferred when it was open auditions at venues rather than submitting a video. I felt it made the show more talked about and I liked the behind the scenes footage at the auditons.

Miss old BB so much

I love how on C4 VT's they show you parts from their auditions in those black DR booth things

They didn't do it for BB8 for some reason. But every other VT was solely from their auditions which I loved :flutter:

Yeah and now even callbacks has been reduced to one day in London and one day in Manchester. Less and less opportunity for non-recruits.

Why don't the production team realise it's what people want?

And the classic BB series were done in this way? :conf2:

Like, the "times have changed" excuse (which C5 sure love throwing about to justify the lack of things) cannot be used for not having open auditions as other shows like XF still do them and it was only 3 years ago when BB still had them. With whatever audition process we have now, it just ensures stereotypical token people are chosen each year, like the gay/camp guy, the quirky old housemate, the angry black woman, a bunch of thick/vapid models, the posh/stuck-up one etc.

C4 castings and even BB12/13's weren't like that. Ever since BB14/15 we just get token housemates from different stereotypes and it just creates a lack of diversity. It feels like they're choosing housemates for parts in a scripted reality show as opposed to just ordinary people

Also, with open auditions you can sort out who are trying to fit a persona and who are real. There are wayyy too many "im a bitch!!" wannabes who upload their auditions on youtube, and you can tell that nothing they say is true.

You sure? I saw those dates on the form, but I assumed that was just the next stage? If people do well there, do they get called back for another day?
