They're not open auditions, they're just producers visiting clubs for people to approach them and the people they liked from the online applications get told to come visit them in the locations.

What I've recently found out though is that most "recruits" aren't really recruits as the clubs and the places producers go to are advertised so people who wanna go on bb just go there like Wolfy she was technically a recruit but went to that club with the intention of being picked for big brother so I dont really know, I think most recruits know what they're doing that night and just wanted to go on big brother or were encouraged to by somebody/some people.

Isn't that still an open audition? Lol. It's just not filmed and as intimate as before.

I don't understand why they can't just have various auditions around the UK, instead of just online auditions, then visiting random obscure nightclubs, with hardly any promotion. It's as if they don't want anyone to apply

I guess it shows that the applicants really want it, because they sought out the obscure details and chased 'em rather, rather than going somewhere that anyone can? It is weird the venues aren't even given a passing mention on the website or show though.

I believe what happens is they interview people and then tell them to apply online. Doesn't make much sense but I guess they know who they want when they've met them in real life but make them go through the same process as everyone else and their online video won't really matter. They will call them back regardless.

Because they don't want people from the general public.
And they probably want to see who wants it most by the people who keep track of where the producer's visit when it's not advertised.
