Not the mosque itself costs £15m, and not "just a mosque is being added"

In fairness if Albert Square is to reflect East End life they should have a mosque, that said there are other faiths represented in the East End so given we all love diversity so much they should be a Catholic, Baptist, Anglican Church, a Synagogue etc :joker:

As the east end is ethnically diverse, why don't they build an all faiths church. After all, there is only one muslim family in Albert Square. Poor Dot has to make do with the community centre.:shrug:

I am not sure if this has been thought through - seen as EE seems to be preastoric ie people shopping off a market stall and no main stream supermarkets that rule every London street .

plus what about other religions - have we forgotten about the church ?

I will keep a open mind but I am sceptical on this idea as they do not need to build a new set at the cost of so much money when it can be acted out in rooms designed to portray a mosque.
