Well Kelsey for example didn't watch any episodes in sequester, so that explains it for her. Don't know about the others though, in BBCAN3 it was so different cause Brittnee was the only one who didn't really know the rules and stuff of the game

For me it's the ones who try so hard to play up to that cartoonish quirky nerd stereotype that irk me. That's why the Joel champagne moment didn't work for me, the situation itself was humourous but him playing up made it a little annoying.

I like Joel though (from what I've seen in the first two episodes), he seems nice enough.

Joel really isn't nerdy though... He is more of a geek. He isn't a books nerd anyway... He doesn't seem that smart, but he has socially awkward down to a tee. I didn't like his VT because Hecate across as annoying... And most of the time he kinda is, but as a game strategy it's working for him. He is seen as the least threatening person in the house rt now, which is how Ian Terry made it through the first half if his season

I hate when they cast nerd players generally because like they most of the time cast socially awkard nerds and other housemates act like they are superior to them and like try to change them or teach them stuff.. Then these "nerd" hms act like they are changed and they are better people now.. It is so uncomfortable to watch people change their characters and their behaviour and the way they act because other people/society thinks something else is a better way to act. It happened with both Ian and Steve.

I don't think they do. You get housemates on other shows sometimes (i.e. Brendon & Rachel on The Amazing Race) but they don't really become celebrities like Nikki or Aisleyne
