All in the title really, what 7 things do you want in Big Brother 17? I just wrote a post for my blog on the topic - I won't post all of it here (link here: https://zakman440.wordpress.com/2016/03/15/7-suggestions-for-big-brother-17/), but the 7 things that I would change would be:
1) More Live Feed
2) Keep it consistent (split into 4 sub-sections):
i] Drop the themes
ii] Enough with the nominations twists (introduce the BBAU noms format)
iii] Don't drop fun in favour of drama
iv] Give the secret rooms a rest
3) Be honest/keep the fans in the loop.
4) Drop the tackiness!
5) Work on the spinoffs (split into 2 sub-sections):
i] Fix BOTS.
ii] Re-introduce a tea-time spinoff.
6) Work on online fan engagement (website/app)
7) Make it a fun series
Again, you can read my explanations in my blog post here (https://zakman440.wordpress.com/2016/03/15/7-suggestions-for-big-brother-17/). But what would yours be?
Jason.

1. More live feed
2. Regular weekly nominations (and consistency regarding how many are up)
3. Stop overusing Marcus (especially with the eviction announcements)
4. No more than 5 finalists (but preferably a maximum of 4)
5. No outside contact
6. Interviews away from the outdoor crowd
7. Stricter enforcement of rules
Jason.

Oh yeah, the outside contact thing too. They're taking the piss now with how much outside knowledge the HMs get. Hearing the crowd on eviction nights is one thing, but just sending in people to flat out tell them how they're being perceived is something BB16 thrived in.

1. Normal Nominations (Diary Room or F2F, just as long as they are nominating)
2. Funner Tasks
3. No Outside Contact
4. No Secret Rooms/Fake Evictions
5. Less OTT Editing/Show Intros
6. Better Punishments for Rule Breaking
7. Keep the Split Eviction Show (Probably one of my favourite things from CBB17 :flutter:)

Oh and if they want to keep doing big evictions then just change the rules to 2 or more nominations and you're up instead of changing it all the time.
(I really doubt they will go back to the old rules so this is a realistic option)
1) Normal nominations
2) Cast personalities, not types (cast a black girl for her personality, not just because she can be the series' black girl, for example)
3) More live feed. It doesn't have to be 24/7 - but 9/10 hours a week.
4) The number of housemates to be suited to the length of the series. Countless double evictions at the end are just boring and usually take out all the big characters who could have made the final more interesting.
5) Less twists/manipulation. 2 or 3 big twists for the whole series. Each twist to happen on a Friday night so there's no twists happening when we can't even watch it unfold live.
6) Limit Marcus Bentley's involvement in live shows. He makes it feel cheap.
7) No guests/ex-housemates. I know they've only done the ex-housemates thing in Timebomb but since then we had that butler and Gillian McKeith coming in as guests and it takes away the focus from the actual housemates. Celebrate good housemates like Nikki/Charley/Aisleyne by all means (on BOTS) but maybe focus on actually creating new classic housemates too in the series.
1. No outside contact.
2. Consistent nominations rule.
3. Stop doing twists so often.
4. No theme.
5. Revamped house and exterior.
6. Diverse cast.
7. Revamped side-show.
Also do the eviction announcements from the studio!

1. Diverse cast
2. Normal nominations (with the correct rules in place, two or more with most up)
3. No housemates that go in to play a 'character' to the cameras (marc, gemma)
4. Harder shopping tasks
5. Zero outside contact
6. Vote to Save
7. Pete Burns as a BOTS regular
Drew.

More normal civilians & less apprentice type housemates would be a start

making it more like how CBB is run would be fine for me. some faults are here to stay, but CBB feels a lot less pushed for twists and drama
Jason.

I don't really see a difference in how BB and CBB are run tbh. Both are filled with nominations twists and producer meddling. CBB is far from perfect in terms of production either, the series are only better than civilian BB because of the celebrities they get imo (another thing that C5 need to work on for the civilian run is actually having a good cast).

Hmm but then compare BB16 to CBB16, pretty much every argument in the former was because of meddling whilst CBB16's main arguments were over jewish celery, housemates wanting a bath etc
Jake.

(not every argument that was a bit dramatic)

The last few series have been much better about natural drama imo. The first two weeks of BB16 and then both CBB's after that all had lots of drama over things that weren't tasks.
For some reason even in CBB17 they kept trying to do the stupid drama starting tasks though so I don't see much hope  (and the fact that they did one on the last day was ridiculous)

1. More Live Feed
2. A more diverse selection of Housemates
3. Show some fun on the highlights
4. Stop having Housemates getting evicted without a public vote
5. Have consistent rules in place for rule breaks, like keeping Marc in BB16 for humping Danny from behind, yet throwing Aaron out for the exact same thing
6. Have the tasks be a lot harder for the Housemates to win
7. Bring BBLB back and scrap BBOTS

A more diverse and interesting selection of housemates. Less 'models' and reality tv wannabees and none that already have an agent.
A mix of people as in the Canadian house would be good. People who already have a career, but just want the experience (and the cash of course)
Don't treat viewers as if they are idiots.
Don't tolerate bullying behaviour, especially when it's just to boost ratings.
I don't mind housemates who provide during their time in the house but still want something out of it. Almost all the good Channel 4 housemates were like that. It's just filling the house with wannabe models/DJs/rappers who then think they can sit back and stay on the show for exposure without doing anything.

1. well instead of vote to save, make it vote to evict
2. some nice entertaining housemates
3. give the public the chance to nominate a housemate
4. challenges for immunity, like fear factor
5. give the housemates mail from public, or friends and family, some more background stories
that's all i can think of, so i'll be glad to help :)
