THE new series of Big Brother could look very different when it returns to Channel 5 later this year.

With preparations for BB 17 continue, it has been claimed that the house in Elstree will undergo a transformation.

According to the Daily Star (http://www.dailystar.co.uk/showbiz-tv/hot-tv/507248/Big-Brother-new-house-series-Emma-Willis-Eurovision-Coronation-Street-Island-Bear-Grylls), the famous home will include another garden and a 2 storey extension could be built.

However, that's not all.

While fans have been used to the housemates coming out of the house to chat to host Emma Willis, that could soon change as the show's bosses reportedly want to build an indoor and outdoor studio.

Explaining the reasons behind the show's makeover, a source said: "The idea of the revamp is to keep the show fresh.

"Having more space gives us the chance to be more flexible and do more ambitious stunts.”

Meanwhile, reports have also claimed that the show has already lined up 2 new housemates (http://www.ok.co.uk/tv/527036/celebrity-big-brother-lines-up-ben-innes-and-peru-two-michaella-mccollum).

"Every year, controversial characters are chosen to become housemates and every year on launch night people moan 'but they're not famous'," an insider commented.

"Then by the end the second night of the series, they are addicted as the drama unfolds."

Oh I'm glad they're going back to studio interviews, I hate the crowd ruining the interviews

No more disgusting mob ruining interviews that I want to listen too :clap1:

I don't mind them booing and cheering housemates as they come out the house, they have every right, even if they'd boo a fly.

MESS @ the first two allegedly signed up for CBB though, that's beyond desperate.

Nothing will ever come close to Heaven's iconic bungee jump into the house >>>

I swear these ****ty journalists never seem to grasp the simple difference between BB and CBB.

Anyway, I like the idea of having and indoor and outdoor studio.

In THIS ARTICLE (http://www.dailystar.co.uk/showbiz-tv/hot-tv/507248/Big-Brother-new-house-series-Emma-Willis-Eurovision-Coronation-Street-Island-Bear-Grylls) on the Daily Star website, one thing not mentioned above which has definitely been changed from last year is:

This year there will be no six-week break between the end of Big Brother and the start of Celebrity Big Brother. The two shows will run one after the other.

Not sure if that is a good or bad thing tbh.

Bad thing imo, you need a break between series

The huge gap between BB16 and CBB16 killed all hype for CBB16 imo

Probably because all the reconstructions/Emma's pregnancy means normal BB is pushed back to June, so CBB will have to follow straight after it finishes rather than a gap.

I'm glad they're going back to indoor studios for eviction interviews. One thing that is definitely needed on C5 given the ghastly mob and it made C4 evictions much more atmospheric too so hopefully eviction nights on C5 will now feel more of an event. I wonder what the outdoor studio will be used for though? Just interviews for finale nights? Spin-offs?

And IA with Oaker that the six week gap between BB16 and CBB16 was just way too long and I got bored waiting after 2-3 weeks, it killed the momentum. A 2-3 week break is enough.

I've been watching BBCanada, maybe a format like that could work? But with the public voting for the evictions and winner?

I think a BB Brazil format may work as the Ch5 format is more like it now than the Ch4 fomat

A shame about the longer break disappearing between BB and CBB - I thought the break gave both series a different feel, but if they're pushing things back then I guess they have no choice.

Re the new set - I'd imagine that it'll work the same as it has since 2011 - Emma presents from outside the house, goes into the studio for the interview then returns to the crowd to end the show.

I'd also imagine that the new studio will have some soundproofing as it's an actual building rather than an open-air stage but it's pretty much in the same location as the eye stage, so I'd imagine that the crowd may still be audible (especially if they're retaining an eye entrance/exit to the studio). The lower audience capacity may also have an effect but I'd imagine that the regulars who go down every week (and boo) will still be allowed in.

That being said, I'm excited to see what changes are actually made to the set - both inside the studio and outside of it (and whether the BOTS set will finally get a layout change).

Now they've sorted out the external aspects, they can work on the internal aspects of the game a little more http://www.brantsteele.net/images/bigbrother/uk/01/claire.png

I wish they'd hold off creating stupid articles like this until they have concrete information.

It's just a rehash of what we already know with the same "Big Brother WILL BE BIGGER THAN EVER" type hyperbole.
