I was watching the live feeds on BBCanada, and Nikki seemed to think this coming series of BB will be the last :O

Well yes, hence why they're going all out to give it an overhaul. If it fails again then Channel 5 will axe it.

"But the Celeb one will continue"
But it's been commissioned to 2018?

If BB17 is BB15/16 levels of awful then I hope it is.

I assume that there's a clause in the contract meaning that Channel 5 can axe it at any time.
I don't mind them stopping doing it really it's clear as they can't do them proper.

I don't see the point in axing a show that gets them around 1 million nightly, a rarity for Ch5.
It probably costs them more than it's worth tbh

I think it's come to an end and the show can't be saved. No matter what they do they won't get the viewers. BB17 should be the last one.
They are NOT ending it on an odd number actually.
BB18 can be the last one.

Like **** am I sticking with CBB once the civilian version ends :joker: it was always the side show to the original and their deliberate attempts at ramming it down viewers throats in order to make them prefer it (so they don't have to continue with the civilian) have thankfully not worked on me like it has on others
Once the civilian series goes, so do I :xyxwave:

It's worked on me, simply because the civilian show is pants.

But given the money and work they're putting into the show this year I think they'll give it at least 2 more years.
I don't think the relaunch will work but I'm ready to be proven wrong.

We need an UBB2 so Deana can get the win she deserves

Maybe there might be a truth in what Nikki has said and that BB17 will be the final civillian BBUK to air, I mean why would she say it if it weren't true???, plus giving that it is her 10th anniversary year of entering BB7 in 2006 Channel 5 could have already offered her a place in UBB2 in the Summer, she may have thought she was safe telling the Canadian housemates as us Brits arent supposed to see the feeds.
Contracts can always have a release clause and for all we know their could be more and longer series of CBB from 2017-2018 to compromise.
Please to god don't give Nikki yet another stint.
Obviously if there's an all stars they're not going to exclude her from it.
Anyway I think all stars will be in a couple of years so its not an overkill.

I don't think that people want it to end - if anything they want it to improve and stick around. But if the producers are just going to keep making the same mistakes then it probably is best to just put the show out of it's misery.

Tbh not a rarity anymore. The last week alone, around 5 shows on 5 have been higher than BB16s average. Benefits shows, animal shows, food shows, they are even beating BB16.
CBB is the rarity. And that won't go away even in Civ does
after this random messy Rollercoaster of series and tackiness it can go if this years turns out to be ****

Why do so many miss the real reason for any failure of BB.
The viewers the so called fans are responsible for BB success or failure. As long as so called fans keeping voting out the most entertaining housemates then the future of BB IS DOOMED.
Don't, blame others blame yourselves
