OK no shade but it sounds like you take the show too seriously if the winner affects your outlook like that. The GP generally doesn't care or remember who won whether they're boring or entertaining by the time the next series starts so it really not that big of a deal. Also you say it's not real life and it's just a light entertainment show so you should see it from the other side that the winner really doesn't matter.

I could just as easily turn that around though and say that you take the show too seriously if you care that someone dislikable wins a trashy reality show that has a million viewers? Like, it has no cultural significance whatsoever. We all take the show seriously enough that we're debating things that happened several years ago on an internet forum really, but does it honestly affect my real life if someone I find boring wins? No, am I distraught? No, I move on with my life because Big Brother isn't the be all and end all of everything - but it's still irritating to invest yourself in a show for the ending to be appalling

I agree that the public doesn't really care or remember who wins in hindsight, I mean for most series ironically they probably remember those who didn't win cause they were the actual stars of it (), but it does somewhat encourage new housemates, especially under VTE, to just float their way through, never cause waves and never do or say anything and there's a good chance they'll be handed the title and a £100k, on no merit whatsoever. That's a terrible, counterproductive thing for the show as a whole

Why is the BB15 debate going on in the BB14 thread!!

The only way I can see BB15 getting acclaim is if the next few series are even worse (which is hopefully not possible)

Austin and Janice are my two joint faves of CBB16 I've decided. I love both equally.

(I'm posting this here cause idk where else to post it).

I don't care, I saw what I saw and SHE said in the house when Helen hated her in the DR that she felt isolated/bullied and cried. Of course when she was friends with/after the show she would say that as she was scared by Helen hence her becoming friends with her. She did used to say things like wasppp etc as christopher walked past with her gang, not an offensive word, but a bullying tactic.

BB15 was boring past the first three weeks because all it was was Helen and the lads having a smoke, I liked the first three weeks, I loved Ashleigh, it ended awfully though won by the woman who had made it worse than it could be.

What you saw was a 48 minute version of a 24 hour day, it's hardly representative is it? And I really don't remember that happening, I'm happy to be proven wrong if you provide me with a video or something but I swear she actually had a DR entry where they asked her if she felt it was going too far/they needed to step in and she said no, not at all

I don't agree, it had amazing arguments like Danielle vs Helen, Toya vs Winston and Marlon, Pauline being an irrational mess, Helen vs Ashleigh developing across the series and it resulting in their deserved F2 (second only time that the two biggest stars of the series have been made it there), one of the messiest showmances of all time in Steven and Kimberly, Biannca's hilarious four day stint or whatever it was, Mark being consistently funny with his meltdowns, cute friendships like Ashleigh and Danielle and Ashleigh and Chris, an out-of-the-blue bizarre minor storyline between Christopher and Mark, the list goes on

No I'm not absolving her at all, but maybe if people didn't make her feel like her behaviour in BB15 was good enough for her to be crowned the winner and given a 100k reward, she wouldn't have carried on being so vile.

I don't agree that's why she won BB15 though, she ended up winning because of the producer's transparent attempt to make it look as though she'd been on a 'journey' and come full circle and was a new person (she wasn't, I always acknowledged this) and in typical fashion the fickle voting public lapped it up and she ended up winning. She didn't win because of her behaviour or else she same feat would've been repeated by someone like Marc, or many before her who acted similarly would've won but they don't because the public overall like inoffensive dullards (or in their eyes 'nice' people/people who've been on a 'journey')

If anything it's the producers who booked her and told her to do more of the same (as she's said on several occasions) who should take some of the blame, but really the onus is on her not to take it so far like she did with Brian that it just oversteps a huge mark

I agree with this.

None of that entertained me bar Ashleigh, Danielle, Toya. Mark was tedious. Steverly was tedious. Yawn. I remember differently regarding Jale.

Helen Vs Ashleigh looking back was annoying and it overtook the season so I found it boring because it was exhausting.

It was more exhausting on here than in the house (especially in the final week omg it was hell)

Agreed. It's my least favorite housemate v housemate scenario ever. It's always looked at in such a good v evil way when in my opinion it was always a evil v evil situation.

Charlie wasn't a good housemate just a good plot device. However by default in the later weeks she was probably in the very top half of my rankings.

I think plot device best describes Hazel if anyone.

Pleasantly surprised that underrated Charlie almost won :o
