It's launching tomorrow!

Channel 5 HD will launch on Freeview channel 105 on Wednesday, a day after encryption was lifted on satellite.

The channel has been testing off the EPG since last week, and will be available to all viewers with compatible Freeview HD equipment.

At the same time, the channel will also be added to the Freesat EPG.

At around 10:20am this morning, encryption on satellite was lifted, meaning that ahead of the Freesat launch, the channel can be added to any satellite receiver in the UK and Ireland receiving a signal from the Astra 2 cluster of satellites.

I have a weird feeling that they're going to start promoting it now because everyone's now on HD or some ****

This might be a daft question, but does that mean C5 itself will now be HD, or will C5HD be a separate channel? I watch tv through my FireStick, so I guess I'd only have normal C5...
