That was one of the first things I noticed no one said Parvati. A lot of Heroes vs Villains cast members got chosen though so they definitely know who Parvati is. I think the lack of female models probably led to Parvati not being chosen.

They seem easy-going, fun, rootable.. I like the way they answered almost all their questions. (also Michelle is really cute so that's a plus for her :love:)

this is based on reading about half the peoples' bios & watching a 4-5 minute long video where most or some (couldn't really tell how many) of the castaways said a little something

But I would not be surprised if those 3 actually ended up being 3 of my faves just from the vibe I get.

I'm quite intrigued to see how Michaela will come across as the season progresses. She didn't have that much presence, and it's surprising that she would be someone that producers would want to re-cast.

I think Michaela comes off pretty well in her interviews, and at least seems level-headed in comparison to her fellow tribemates, so I'm looking forward to seeing her play too. It might suggest something that the two 'least millennial-y' millennials (her and Zeke, who says in response to a "what does it mean to be a millennial?" question that he doesn't even think of himself as one) are the two that return...

Also, it's a month to the day until this starts! I'll, um, throw this out there again...

Yeah, I do like her. She just comes across a little lifeless at the moment? Obviously things might change on the edited show.

I actually have a strong feeling she could win the season based on her pre-show interview.

I know there's been very little hype surrounding this season, but I didn't think an episode where an entire day was discared and the camps were destroyed by a cyclone could feel so... commonplace? Predictable? I'm sure it's not a general Survivor fatigue and that some interesting stuff will (probably) happen given time, but we've seen the whole four-person cool kids alliance thing done countless times already (both FvF seasons to name but two), I'm not even going to go into the hard-working/free-spirited/participation trophy bull**** that I feel like I've been hearing every day for four months - and never again once they drop the theme after the next episode, and wow wasn't a MOR female getting booted for her puzzle performance so very novel an idea yes it was well done everyone

HORRIBLE result imo - I really don't want to see a "popular clique" run the show.

I feel like we see the "popular clique" or double showmance, etc. type of alliances just fall apart early in Survivor a lot. So not only that I actually like these 4 people but the fact they were outnumbered 6-4 and found a way out of it is what made me really like the result even more personally.

Realistically they could not even run the show anyway. They could still be outnumbered 5-4 at the next tribal council (albeit unlikely) or something will most likely happen later if/when they shake up the tribes.

I feel like we see the "popular clique" or double showmance, etc. type of alliances just fall apart early in Survivor a lot. So not only that I actually like these 4 people but the fact they were outnumbered 6-4 and found a way out of it is what made me really like the result even more personally.

Realistically they could not even run the show anyway. They could still be outnumbered 5-4 at the next tribal council (albeit unlikely) or something will most likely happen later if/when they shake up the tribes.
Yes. :clap1: It was pretty commendable and if it was switched (underdogs overcoming the numbers) then their move would only be praised.

HORRIBLE result imo - I really don't want to see a "popular clique" run the show.
When has that ever happened though? It was literally one result, there's a high chance that next week one of them will be out if they lose because of how quickly the vote flips.

I would have preferred Figgy going, but I'm not too bothered with Mari leaving either. I like how it was unpredictable because I was pretty sure Figgy would be voted off. Figgy and Taylor are too complacent for my liking though, and something about Hannah irritates me.

Right now I think Ken is my favourite. David annoys me, but I'm fond of his alliance with Cece and Ken. I hope they don't get screwed as a result of the tribe twist.

I really don't see Paul lasting very long (unless he gets past the tribe swap, then who knows) as Ken and David already seem to want to target him and he's kind of the easy option to evict now as they will deem him unfit/unhealthy (and is the oldest too I think?) so he'll probably be more easily expendable now.

I'm not sure. It averages 650,000 I think but I don't know if that's good or bad for Australian shows. Big Brother got more than that in its last season though.

That was a nice blindside, and another pretty good episode to be honest. Paul is fine as a person, but he was also one of my least favourites so I'm glad he was voted off in true Survivor-fashion. CeCe on the balance beam gave me Monica and the ropes realness, and Jeff's analogy at tribal was ridiculous. I hardly know anyone who uses 'u' as oppose to 'you' in real life. That was quite tragic.

I didn't rate Hannah much last week, but I thought it was quite amusing that she was just talking at Adam and Zeke when they told her 100x that they didn't want to hear it :joker: There's not much else to say about the Millennials at this stage. I'm liking Michaela even more after this episode.

Because it's true regarding the tribes. :shrug: Paul also probably gets a bit more 'respect' for being the oldest one of the cast but realistically he hasn't done anything. Ken proved his word when he went and caught that fish but Paul came back with nothing. Everything he said was spot on.

I think one of the most insulting things about this season is how they're marketing Generation X as hard-workers who earned every penny they have, when if anything that describes Baby Boomers? Generation X was all about counterculture and standing up against authority. I get that the show probably doesn't want this twist to just be seen as a repeat of Nicaragua's (even though Blood/Water and Brains/Brawns/Beauty have all been repeated, and even though casuals surely don't even remember Nicaragua), but with the way they're trying to paint Millennials and Generation X it's literally No Collar vs. Blue Collar.

I agree. It's still watchable and enjoyable but it's really vanilla. I don't know if it's the editing or the cast, but nobody's really popped so far in the same way that, like, people like Alecia and Debbie and even Tai did by this time last year. The editing of Gen X in particular has been atrocious, as far as I'm concerned Bret/Chris/Jessica/even Sunday are all the same person. I can't attribute any personality traits to any of them.
