Big games have affected BB. And opening games have too. So avoiding the France game is best. It will get around 8-9m.

Euro predictions...

Opening Game- 8.4m
Big 5 team averages- 6.8m
Standard matches- 4.0m
England matches- 11m-15m

So basically. Avoid England matches at all costs. The clash on Friday will be bad imo. And would be preferable to avoid Italy, Germany and Spain games really.

But other teams shouldn't affect it a lot. I recall BB13 against a not so important game and BB13 getting a pretty high rating... think it was 1.6m.

I don't know whether that will affect it, but if it does, meh. It will be affected by the Euros and (some) of the Olympics... depends with that though because being in Brazil, if they do the bigger events in primetime in Rio (not sure about whether 7-9 time is the biggest in Rio), then those primetime events won't be shown until like 11pm-1am here.

BB would clash with events that are aired at 5pm in Rio. And lets just hope that they are not huge events.

Plus, the only reason BB13 was hit was because it was in London, pretty sure Bejiing 2008 was a flop most nights here.

Back to the post, I don't think a lot of BB audience demo would want to watch 2 bellends having a debate.

Unless the IOC force Rio to change the timings of events to suit international broadcasters, most Olympic finals in the major sports like athletics and swimming will be held post 11pm UK time, so they shouldn't affect Big Brother

It's like Italian BB, they are always like 100+ days, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The GF10 was so long but it was an incredible series. They then got cocky and did GF11 and 12 equally as long (or longer), and they were not great, well GF12 wasn't. It went on for ages and the ratings halved by Month 3 out of the 6 months. It then had to go on a a year and a half hiatus because they had to rehash more ideas for GF14 in 2014 because in the second half of GF12 they did eveything to try and boost figures and that further annoyed people.
