View Full Version : Live Feed or B2B Production?

Simple question really: if you had to make a choice, which would you rather the show had? 24/7 live feed, or back to basics/minimalistic production (ie no montages, no nametags, mostly normal nominations and so on)
No point having a live feed of a crap show

Back to basics (Xtina promo?) I wouldn't watch live feeds anyway

Live Feed - at least then you'd be able to form your own opinions on what's happened rather than just going off the edit. Plus I think the return of the feed would encourage a more back-to-basics style series anyway.

The feeds. The edit is supposed to consolidate what you already know from the feeds and fill in any gaps you didn't, so I really couldn't care less what it was like if we could watch the housemates unedited 24/7.
It's the same in North America. BBUS and BBCan airs three times a week and the edit isn't always perfect, but it's fine because you can compare notes from the feeds. They are far more important than a 48 minute show is.
Life Feed
Not that I'd watch it, but it's reduce the amount of manipulation drastically and could, as zakman440 said, encourage a B2B format

Back to basics! I mean ideally both but it isn't the lack of live feeds that have ruined the show imo, it's the terrible over-production of it.

Remember when BB4 flopped for going back to basics :worry:
I'd go with B2B though simply because I don't think C5 BB can get any worse than it is now

B2B
You can have a decent series with little live feed - evident in BB13/14 and most the CBB's on C5, but if the production is ****, then the series will be ****.

Knowing C5 the feeds will be down most of time

I dont necessarily want a B2B production but just better production

This is a lie. BBCAN do perfect big brothers and it ****s all over C5 bbs/cbbs put together. They know how to do a big brother and they listen to the fans.

Actually the comparison to BBCAN is an interesting one because their show is very heavily produced, and yet they still manage to make it a great show, whereas we seem unable to. And they also have live feeds. I'm more torn now

BBCan is so classy and they have a better production so they can get away with it

The bad editing skills, the tasks, the twists from the C5 series is our punishment for hating on BB4 for going B2B! 😂

BBCAN is the unloved adopted child of the Big Brother franchise.

I missed your post from before, but this pretty much sums it up I think

It's not less or more production that's important, it's the quality of it. I don't know how they can get it so right when we get it so wrong though.

Channel 5/Endemol definitely need to go B2B
