Best C5 Launch in a while. Cast wasn't AS GOOD as I was expecting, but the titles, set and house were all very solid and seemed to be a return to form. I liked the entrances a lot more as well.

Still think the cast has a lot of potential to be good.

The Twist was the only thing I consider messy tbh. I'm really surprised how smooth everything was for the most part, and it seems like they put a lot of thought in to the Titles and everything for a change.

I am worried about too much meddling again, but it's too early to say. The Others twist is both bad/good for me so far.

I did but pissed off that Emma promised after the break a housemate would see their ex was a housemate I was expecting them all to see their rivals surely that would have been better? the launch was good but as usual the twist was absolute **** and as allways the housemates are given 60 seconds and have no idea whats going on making the whole twist pointless.

Last night definitely not because I thought the cast was dire. However C5 stepped it up with the production aspects.
Rewatching it this morning and it's not that bad. Of course the Launch twist is kind of a disaster but I guess that's because the housemates are too excited and nervous, so it doesn't always play well.
It does have the potential to be a great series but C5 must really be careful as the cast is not too great. Hopefully they made some real changes the fans will appreciate.

It was slow, boring repetitive and left me wodering why it took so long. there was no drama, no twists of note and as usual, they left a cliff hanger to make sure you came back tomorrow which is desperate programme making. Also Emmas dress was bloody awful

Indeed the cast is rather awful but in some series we had great casts and it fell flat, and not only because C4/C5 screwed things up at some point.
BB16 had a great cast but it was unbearable to watch. So maybe not expecting much from BB17 cast would help I suppose? They can always surprise us...

Far too many egos Nessa ,as you know I do a score sheet on launch night only 3 of them got above a zero ,thats Jason,Jackson and James ,all the others are dire !!

I agree and that's a shame because C5 is obviously looking for ratings and they know what kind of people trigger young viewers/voters to get the money in.
C4 didn't seem to care about it back then, and the further it goes the more C5 is less focused on the prime meaning of the show.
We have the same thing in France too. Most of them are Z list Instagram posters, looking forward being a tv host on some channel nobody watches, looking for media attention and booking parties in nightclubs.
That's why for the 5th consecutive year the winner has been a girl who had a relationship in the house, made young girls dream but then got dumped due to her loud mouth.

I quite enjoyed it. The new set is spectacular, the house is mediocre, but still better than the last two year's were.

The housemates are OK, no stand outs, but they all could clash and it's a big variety there if you watch beyond their shallow outputs in their Vts.

The twist itself is really great. It's not a game changer, because it's basically BB10 mixed up with Power Trip but it could be very interesting and lead to some serious group-forming.

All in all, they made more right then wrong. They changed the mistakes they did last year and brought some new things in (basically inspired by BB-US). It reminds me of launch night BB13, which is a good sign.

What has spoilt it is ,they are not normal hm8s, most are z-listers in some way or another .....only an handful of normals and they are the ones I like ,all the women are shocking all full of themselves all claiming they will take no **** ....nothing we've not heard before

I'll be posting my experience in details later on, but I must say it was brilliant. It looked so different from the previous set. I stood in the stalls nearby the stairs and behind the interview spot. Emma and the audience guy were wonderful. had a quick conversation with Emma (and said hi to Rylan after BOTS) and got one of the cue cards and the mask as a souvenir. Friday's should be wonderful also.:cheer2:
