View Full Version : Is this the most miserable bunch of Housemates ever?

The question is simple, do you think that BB17 UK has the most miserable set of Housemates ever in the history of the whole franchise worldwide?

For me I feel like we're not getting any outrageously fun or funny moments in the series like we get in every other BB (including the other bad BB's) it's just arguments and Marco and Laura snogging.

And don't get me wrong I like arguments on BB, but I don't want that to just be what's on the programme when it's not "who's shagging who" I would love to see normal conversations, fun games, and funny one liners from the Housemates, and then build up to the arguments.

To me personally these people argue over the most ridiculous things too, I mean wtf at tonight, all Ryan did was walk down the stairs and have a dig at Sam, did that require nearly the whole house to get involved? No, and Andrew was clearly trolling with the Snakes comment yet they all were so thick that they started getting worked up over it when they should've just ignored his comment like he hadn't said anything.

Ryan and Hughie's arguments were quite funny. shame they've been split up

I don't think there's that many arguments? There's been a few in the Other house but they just seem to mope around all day in the Main house.

If you look at the cast I cant (yet) pick out any who seem to possess a sense of humour

so you could be right Mock

BB15 and some CBB casts have been more miserable

I think these days HM's are increasingly aware that drama = airtime as the producers have shown us they prefer that over comedy, so it's probably a case that they're playing into that.

I was born miserable & didn't read all your post but I'm properly pissed off that you are grouping all miserable people together.
We are not fricking Aliens.

This has not improved my mood!

There's 18 housemates and we get 45 minutes of footage each day. It's kind of unfair to call them miserable when we struggle to get to know them

I liked everything about last nights episode ...Andrew was just brilliant....like a more scary version of Marc O'Neill....both went in as new housemates and caused total carnage...but last nights was bigger....then towards the end Georgina topped it off perfectly for me....I laughed my f-ckin head off at her....she's a brilliant housemate....that performance in the diary room was gold and the perfect contrast to all the fireworks going off in the house

Well on that front Ch5/Endemol shouldn't be putting 18 Housemates at the start in the first place if they can't show them all properly.

And I doubt that these Housemates really are that miserable, but all the highlights seem to show of the show is a revolting Showmance and arguments.

I miss stuff like when Victor in BB5 was singing Boyz II Men and then started going down on the floor heading towards the Garden.

I miss more task orientated arguments like in BB6 with the Box Task, and the Pirates Task where Science was the leader.

I miss stuff like the awful singing from some of the Housemates like Sam BB6 and Hira, and Ben in BB11 on Don't Stop Believing also made me laugh too.

I miss even on the Ch5 series stuff like when Lionel Blair got evicted and then you had Dappy and Louisa start screaming "Lord Lionel Blair!" and then the screams between the two of them when they shared the Shower.:laugh3:

And even in as recently as BB16 we had the Morgue task which had Jack needing to be guided to the door as he couldn't handle stuff coming out of the Ceiling which made me laugh.

And on an arguments front BB15 did a much better job than BB17 so far, yes was Helen involved in nearly all of them? Sure, but she played the villain out better than any of these people who lack any charisma whatsoever, I mean even with Natalie who's clearly suppose to be the villain of this series, a lot of the time she's in the right so she's not exactly a very good villain.:joker:

Oh and Jade and Adele's argument on BB3 is better than any of the arguments in this series, maybe it's because it built over weeks instead of happening on the first night.
