Umm they did last year and didn't put as many wannabes and generally more normal people and it rated extremely low and nothing much happened because they all got along, like the first 2 weeks were nearly all over under 1M views, some nearly as low as 500K.

So if this is what everyone really wants why does no one watch.

And why in 2016 would you say this, from what I've heard it's not been a social experiment for a very long time.

I kind of agree with what you say. It just seems like people want them to travel back in time 10 or so years and you have to just except that that's not what the producers want for the show. They want Big Brother to be like other modern reality shows.

It stands to reason that BB would appeal to a wider audience (and thereby increase audience numbers) if they selected contestants, from a broader range of people - i.e. backgrounds, ages, occupations, intelligence.

Completely agree with it. They havent made a series that wasnt at list half full of z listers and wannabees and its got completely stale.

I can make do with the wannabes but it's the constant manipulation and interference that annoys me.

These type of 'wannabes' have always been in BB since Channel 4. Nikki had appeared as an extra in EastEnders/Footballers Wives, Aisleyne had dated Mike Tyson, Lea had gone on Jerry Springer or whatever in BB7. They're 3 of the best housemates of all time.

What I keep wanting to comment, but wouldn't dare, because I don't want it to seem like I care, but BB hasn't given us a diverse, positive, accurate representation of British society since BB3.

Why are people suddenly getting so annoyed about the freaks and wannabes, who've literally been a part of the show for like a decade?

And as Will said, last year we got a cast of normal people, and it started in a similar way to Classic Year series, but people don't wanna see that anymore, and it flopped!

What reason would they have for deliberately ruining it, that's daft. They spend millions on it and promote the hell out of it every year. They are not deliberately destroying it, they are destroying it because they don't understand what the public want, that's destruction by ignorance, not by deliberate intention.

The only people I don't think should be on the show this year are Lateysha and Alex. They're both MTV reality stars - and there's been many MTV reality stars on CBB such as Charlotte Crosby, Scotty T and Megan McKenna so it seems kinda strange that Lateysha and Alex have been put on the normal one. But Lateysha is one of my favourites this year so idk.
